This apartment is in a location that I am familiar with and it’s just a few blocks from the freeway and an easy commute to the ocean communities, the East Bay cities and San Francisco. We walked downtown and ate then walked from the restaurant to the Shark Tank and watched a hockey game and walked back. The apartment is completely remodeled and looks exactly like the pictures. The Host answered our emails immediately. We had a pleasant stay with no problems.

Stark would be the adjective I'd use at this property. It could really use a rug, a couple lamps, and a couch. It is among a group of other rentals and people walk right next to the windows that do not have adequate draping. The lock on the door didn't work. The TV in the main bedroom is for show as there isn't an electric outlet at that location. (the tv in the other bedroom worked fine) Positives: the beds were quite comfortable, water pressure and shower fixtures perfect, and the neighborhood was pleasantly walkable. The unit was pretty clean except for some beard hair shavings on the bathroom wall. It's a basic unit that gets the job done. Bed and a shower.

We were shocked to find no living room! The two bedrooms/bathrooms were connected by the kitchen. The kitchen had a table w chairs, but a sofa would have been nice. Horrible wiring on kitchen wall not pictured; I checked the pictures on website and it did not look as described. Entering the property: it was dark and we couldn't see the screen for a keyless entry; we resorted to getting the key from the lockbox. The next day in the light we were able to get in using the keyless entry.The kitchen was "austere". It had ONE dishtowel, one USED sponge, 4 of each plate/bowl, 4 forks, 4 knives, and TWO spoons for the four of us. We had to get disposable spoons so we could eat at the same time. There were no hot pads to get anything hot out of the oven or toaster oven. The kitchen was furnished so sparsely that we only ate cereal in the rental; it was not conducive to cooking more. Very sparse kitchen. Then on to the bathrooms. Each bathroom had TWO bath towels. NO hand towels or washcloths. TWO towels each.When I inquired where the laundry detergent was I was informed that they didn't provide laundry detergent!!Street Parking was buried deep in the description of the property. We were there on the 4th Wed so we couldn't park on many surrounding streets because of street cleaning. (Also 2nd Wed)The shower head was nice. The air conditioning was on the wall and leaked. I expected MORE from a property with VRBO; I wouldn't recommend this property.
