Relax and explore the Nation’s capital from StillWaters DC, a pied-à-terre English basement apartment in an historic Capitol Hill rowhome. Located in an urban tree-lined neighborhood 5 min walk to the metro and 15 min walk to:
~ Famous Eastern Market
~ Restaurants and cafes on historic 8th St. SE Barrack's Row
~ Trader Joe's supermarket

With an 8 min metro ride to the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, this location is central yet residential, perfect for your vacation, staycay, or remote work!
The apartment is located on the English basement level of a traditional Capitol Hill townhome and is thoughtfully appointed with urban rustic flair.

Safeway and Trader Joe's are only a 15 minute walk. CVS pharmacy is a 5 min walk. Local produce, meats and meals available daily at the iconic Eastern Market. Farmers’ market every Saturday and Sunday.

A wonderful, central-air conditioned home awaits you after a day of exploring all Washington, DC has to offer.

Simone and her team thank you so much! My fiance and I had an amazing time staying at your place! Everything is as pictured and parking was no problem. Check in and out were super easy and Simone’s team was very nice and helpful throughout our stay!

The location was perfect. Right off Pennsylvania Ave SE. I had meetings on the Hill all week and it was super easy to get to them. The apartment had everything I needed. I didn't really cook but being able to have coffee and a bagel in the morning made everything easier. I would stay here again.

The property was just as described and pictured. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe for walking even in the evening for late night ice cream. The host was very responsive. We had an medical emergency arise while there, and her communication, support and help was amazing. I highly recommend this property to anyone travling to the DC area.

Great place to stay for my wife and I. Only a few minute walk to the subway and grocery stores. Much cheaper than any hotel nearby and the place was very clean. Even the dishes and furniture were very clean which we appreciate because many rentals are not. There’s no tv in the photos but there is a large smart tv in the living room. Host was responsive and friendly to work with. Thanks!

This was a delightful stay! I wasn’t sure what to expect from a basement apartment in DC, but it was quite spacious and recently renovated with all modern finishes. The couch was so comfy and the shower pressure was amazing! The host was very responsive and accommodating. I’ve already recommended this place to others. Thank you!

We had a great time staying here. We were just a 5-minute walk from the metro and the bus station. The metro has multiple different train lines, which was great! The place was clean and nice. It was nice to have a place to sit, make dinner, and have a separate space for a bedroom. The kitchen had lots of utensils to use for cooking. And there is a washer and dryer that worked great. We did have to separate the trash into different categories, but it wasn't that big of an inconvenience. Simone was very helpful and kind! We would stay here again!

This was without question a "first class hotel" experience. The apt was beautifully (professionally?) decorated, sparkling clean and everything that was provided was very nice quality down to the smallest detail. The location was perfect with the Metro subway just one block away. The host provided a visitor parking pass and street parking was easy to find right in front of the unit! In DC!! Amazing vacation place to visit Washington especially this year. I could leave my car parked and get all over the city on Metro which is very clean and safe. I was so happy to me Simone just before leaving. She is a lovely and delightful woman who made my trip very comfortable, beautiful and memorable!!
