A lovely time in Cape Coral
Overall this property was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for as a place to stay near Fort Meyers. The home itself was laid out very nicely with an awesome en suite bath in the master. The highlight was the pool which was heated (which helped give us something to do during a rainy day) had several entrances and included an outdoor shower. We also loved looking out onto the canal to watch the sunrise every morning and ate all of our meals on the lanai.
Here are the downsides: first, most of our activities were somewhere over the causeway which meant a half hour drive for anything we wanted to do. This is something I was aware of before coming and it was fine because it was vacation and time doesn't matter as much, but it is on the farther end of Cape Coral. Something to just be aware of.
The other issue was a snafu upon checkin. Our flight arrived very late at night and the keypad that was used for check in, had a dead battery. The property manager lives in another state and her solution was to refund our money as she had no way to get us in. By sheer luck a window was unlocked and were were able to access the property (and not completely ruin our vacation). We replaced the batteries the next day, but there should probably be a back up plan should this happen again.
