The Surfbird



The Space:

Decorated in a clean, modern style, this beach home is a lovely retreat by the sea. Built to be family friendly, this home includes several items - from a high chair to beach toys - to help with coordinating kiddos eager to build sand castles. A private washer/dryer will help with sandy towels when you come back. Games and puzzles are included so that everyone can spend time together after exploring the ocean. The full kitchen (complete with a kitchen island) is set close to the dining area to ensure an easy mealtime. Grill outside on the private gas grill if you'd rather take in the fresh air in the yard. Relax together on the sprawling corner sofa in front of the gas fireplace at the end of a fun beach day.



What's nearby:

The beach is just a short walk away from this home, so you'll make use of the provided beach cooler! Guests can also walk to restaurants, with Beach Wok and Grateful Bread Bakery each under a mile away. If the weather grows cool, take a drive on the Three Capes Scenic Loop. There are also several hiking locations close to the home, including trails at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, Nestucca Spit Trail, and the Sitka Sedge State Natural Area Loop.

If we come back to pacific city I will most definitely try to book this home again! We loved this home! The king bed towards the back of the home slept like a dream to us! I have a horrible time sleeping and slept so good on that bed. I can’t recommend this home enough! Hopefully will be returning one day!

I've never been to Pacific City before. The house was very nice and accommodating. The king bed was super comfortable. My son and I had a great experience and will definitely be back. The check in process was easy and everything was well explained.. We will definitely be back!!

Sunny weekday stay.

Our friends and us are avid travelers. We have traveled the world together and this week we have been blessed to join together in Oregon at this beautiful location. This rental unit was warm inviting and homey the fireplace added such a cozy atmosphere. Nice sized tv was perfectly placed for all to enjoy the evening.

Great location, bright and light open floor plan house

This house was great for our family of 4. Lots of living space, open kitchen. I'm giving it 4 star review because the beds were too soft and the kitchen was not well stocked with dishware, no pyrex dishes and other basic kitchen things that allow for preparation of meals.

This property was beautiful! Clean and comfortable. It was a little short on kitchen supplies, but we made do. Read the binder!! We took the long way to the beach until we read the binder, directions were easy, I'm glad we read it because we were able to view a gorgeous sunset. I would definitely stay there again!

Great place!

Loved staying at this house. It was clean, had a great kitchen for cooking, and plenty of amenities. I also loved having the French press available as well as the electric water pot and tea for the Keurig. I already recommend this place to many of my friends! Our power did got out while there, some instructions on how to reboot the WiFi might be helpful--"In the event of a power outage do this..." sort of thing. The WiFi took a while to reboot. Thanks for the lovely space to relax.

Beautiful Bright and Open!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is super clean and nicely furnished and decorated. We were blown away by how bright and open it was. It's a very close drive to Cape Kiwanda and whatever else in town that you might want to visit. One slightly negative comment is that we did not know how to use the shower head in the main bathroom. We had to google it HAHA. But if you find yourself in a similar situation, pull down on the tip of the bottom water spout to turn on the shower.

Very clean & cozy. Only issue was that we found the coffee carafe was broken, and no replacement was offered or provided. Also, the dryer kept turning off after about 5 minutes of drying. An 11:00 checkout seems to be the standard & would be preferred.WWonfee

Bright and airy house

Open and airy house was clean and comfortable. Photos implied access to beach but there was not. Too far to walk to the beach from the house. That was a disappointment. The second bath is across the entire house and really a utility bathroom. The house was very comfortable, other than that. The beds were wonderful.

Too bad it's not clean

Soft beds, cute decor, and short walk to the beach - only trouble is house wasn't clean. There was a strong body odor smell in the living area; ants in the kitchen, dining, bathroom; dirty floors throughout with crumbs, sand, hair; and overall dusty living room. We notified Vacasa and they did nothing to resolve.
