When we first walked in we thought we'd love this place enough to rent it again, but now we'd need to wait until there's new mattresses.
Good:
Location on the island (middle), the view of the bay is great, stocked with necessities (dishes, towels, bedding, patio chairs, etc), covered parking garage, luggage carriers, contactless check-in process, mostly clean (found used soap in the shower, a dirty knife in the dishwasher, lipstick oil stains on wine glasses),
Less Good:
Another reviewer mentioned the furniture is uncomfortable and they were right. You can feel the wear on the couches and chairs but it's acceptable. The beds were really uncomfortable to us. There are people-sized craters that you sink into. The bath towels are also very rough, if I came back I'd pack my own towels. The balcony's are right over the pool and the noise carries up to the balconies but not into the condo
Please note that the bedrooms are massive! The master has light filtering shades so if you're not a morning person you may prefer the darkness of the guest room. Like most islands, be sure to bring your own drinking water for freshness. There's an HEB right before the bridge that you can fill up on anything you'd like. We loved South Padre Island. The Brewing Company and Yummies had the best dining experience for us. We also enjoyed a day on the oceanside beach, evenings on the balcony, the sea turtle rehab, and renting a Polaris Slingshot to tour the island.
