Very pet friendly, large fenced in yard with doggy door. Home was clean. Shopping and restaurants very close. Excellent host.

Pros: It’s close to the city and the house was pretty clean. It only has two beds so I would consider this to be a four person stay unless guests would be sleeping on the couch in the living room. Con’s: The host was pretty quick to respond when small things were needed, when we needed emergency help there was no answer. We emailed, texted, called, and contacted VRBO for three hours as we were locked out of the house. It’s a terrible locking system with instructions that are set up to get you locked out. There’s a keypad on the back door with an old working handle with no key, that’s the handle that was locked. There is one key for the deadbolt on the front of the house with a locking screen door that has no key. It was 85 outside and for three hours we waited while our dogs were inside needing to get out, not a good situation. We called locksmiths and got quotes up to 200 with tax. Eventually, they came and got the door open and billed us. The host has an emergency key for the deadbolt on the front of the house, but if the screen door is locked, you can’t get in. The bottom line is buy new handles so one key opens everything, it’s not that expensive.The host offered no reimbursement, his response was a little narcissistic as he said I am sorry “you” locked yourself out. If a host is going to be more than 35 miles from the rental, Milwaukee requires a point of contact and he did not have one, either way you should have one. Toilet in the basement no curtain or door.

My husband and another friend stayed here for 4 nights and had a very positive experience. This is a small lovely and charming home that is very comfortable and welcoming. The host was very responsive in his communication at all times. The beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. The house has been renovated with modern and very well equipped kitchen, new floors, lovely porch. We enjoyed sitting in the private backyard. The location is perfect with lots of restaurants close by. We appreciated having Walgreens within walking distance too. I do think that it accommodates 4 people, however I am not sure it is good for 6 adults. We would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a private home to stay at while in Milwaukee, this is a great option. Very quiet street and easily accessible. The owner has a very nice property and fenced in yard. The house has everything you need. My family and I stayed for a weekend mid-summer - me, my wife, 7mo old baby, and our little dog - it worked out great for us.Easy drive into downtown straight through Bay View and into Walkers Point and Third Ward. Or you could take 794 too which has a access ramp close by.The host is very easy to communicate with and is prompt in his responses.
