Excellent choice for beachfront!

My family and I had an awesome experience in Destin including our stay in Holiday Isle. The Sandpiper community was fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised at how close the room was to the beach. The map shows the property is across the street from the beach but this room is beachfront. We will be back!

Sugary white sand in a few steps!

Beautiful view, white sand welcomes you before you are even on the beach! No fuss with elevators as the second floor has minimal steps. Mattress definitely needs to be replaced in master bedroom otherwise a wonderful stay!

Budget Motel

Condo felt like a cheap motel. Dirty, old outdated furniture including balcony seating that was the most uncomfortable thing possible. Property is a straight rental with zero decor or homey feeling. Entire unit needs updating. Disposal was clogged and previous renters food back up into sink.

Summer Trip

I really like the Sandpiper Cove area. Less crowds, quick access to everything however the condo needs some work. The sliding patio door lock is rusted and you can’t lock it, there is broom handle stick to put down so that it can’t be opened. The washing machine smells of mildew and doesn’t wash clothes well. You can also feel the mattress wires sticking out on the bunk beds and the toilet tank ran every time you flushed. The views were great and we will be back to Sandpiper Cove but in a different condo.

Excellent views

You can’t beat the location and views of the beach from this condo. We arrived an hour early and even though no one had stayed in the unit the night before, we could not get in. When we checked in, we found wet towels in both the washer and dryer; the floor was pretty filthy, the tub was very slow to drain, and the commode ran constantly. All was reported to VACASA and they assured it would be fixed once we left. A second call to report another issue was made and they offered to send someone out, but due to Covid, we agreed these things could wait until we checked out.

Wonderful location

This unit is located steps from the beach & beachside snack/drink shack which was wonderful. A grocery store is just minutes away. There are multiple pools and a pitch & put golf course across the road. There is no fee for golf & it takes less than hour to play the 9 holes. The restaurant on site is wonderful. Amazing food & views with good service. This unit itself was clean. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable which isn’t always the case. :) There were some quirks - a technician came to our door to “fix something “. We’d weren’t aware of this & he wasn’t wearing a mask. A quick check of the Vacasa website said that COVID practice was only to send technicians for emergencies. We weren’t having an emergency so we turned him away. It made me uncomfortable to know that had we not been in the unit he would have gone in. The toilet clogged easily. There is only one remote control for 3 TVs which was odd. I’d recommend bringing or grabbing extra paper towels & toilet paper along with salt, pepper, olive oil & tin foil or ceran wrap. They are doing some maintenance work & upkeep, which is warranted on the grounds. Overall, we loved views, beach access, numerous pools & golf course. We’d stay again!
