Granlibakken Tahoe is a beloved resort in Tahoe City, offering a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, the Granlibakken Ski & Sled Hill, Tree Top Adventure Park, Lighthouse Day Spa, a yoga and meditation space, scenic trails throughout the property, and on-site dining. You’ll be about a mile from downtown Tahoe City, where you can explore Commons Beach, Tahoe State Recreation Area, and a variety of shops and restaurants. Homewood Mountain Resort, Alpine Meadows, and Palisades Tahoe are all within an easy eight-mile drive .



After a summer day on the lake or hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail, come home to relax on the deck and breathe in the fresh mountain air . A small balcony off the loft-style upstairs sleeping space is perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine ☕.

I have always counted on VRBO for its accuracy in providing information on units. This time I was completely deceived. The photos present the unit as being light and bright like Danish modern but it is Old Dark 1970s. The photos are greatly over-exposed to give the clean modern effect. Companion photos at the site imply there is a spa and ski-in-ski-out but that is not the case for this property. Carpets are old, dusty and stained. Mattress is old, a washboard with a deep depression on one side. There was no mattress protector or pad—unsanitary. Big disappointment. Nowhere near the unsupported 9.6 rating posted.
