This newly remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront cottage is located on the highly desirable southwest side of Lake Leelanau, offering stunning water views, a hard sandy beach, and the perfect location for enjoying everything Leelanau County has to offer.

Designed with families and groups in mind, the cottage comfortably accommodates large families or two smaller families with plenty of space to relax both indoors and out. Enjoy mornings on the lake, afternoons exploring nearby wineries and charming towns, and evenings gathered around the water.

The property is just minutes from Traverse City, Leland’s famous Fishtown, Suttons Bay, and all the beloved destinations throughout Leelanau County. You’ll be surrounded by award-winning wineries, restaurants, hiking trails, shops, and endless outdoor activities.

Rain or shine, there’s always something to do! The spacious “Rainy Day Room” pole barn is to be fully set up for entertainment with a pool table, large TV, games, and plenty of room for everyone to hang out and unwind after a day on the lake.

This is a perfect vacation home. Everything is new and decorated beautifully. All the conveniences AND an awesome view of the lake. The house had more activities than we were able to use due to our short stay(3 days). It is conveniently located, clean with comfortable beds. You can't go wrong staying here with all adults or families with children.

The Northern Pearl was just the right place for our month long stay. Check-in was seamless, and it looked even better than photos captured. Floor plan is very well designed to include everything needed. Our favorite room was the sunroom, all glass with beautiful views of the lake. The yard was the perfect size, close to the water making it very accessible to sit in the relaxing swing or right at waters edge. We spent many fun days using the kayaks to explore the gorgeous lake. It was peaceful, quiet, yet close to the many small towns with excellent choices for dining, wineries and live music. All in all it was the perfect place for us to feel at home while enjoying all of the best northern Michigan has to offer in the summer. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home and Shari was the perfect host, responsive, friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time at the Northern Pearl! The cottage was exactly as pictured with a beautiful view. What you don’t see is the lovely lawn expanse leading to the lake with the well equipped fire pit with plenty or chairs. There is also a patio with an outdoor table. The property is also nicely landscaped and inviting. We enjoyed the comfortable windowed/screened porch. The whole house is equipped with everything anyone could possible need. I especially enjoyed the fancy toaster, K Cup coffee maker and being able to get ice and water from the frig dispenser! Mattresses were comfortable and the whole house set up was top notch. My grandkids fished off the dock from dawn till dark. They caught some decent perch, other small bass and fish. But, the grand coup was catching huge gar (2ft or longer) which they gently released. We also saw a good sized snapping turtle, ann eagle and some mink. Our only minor disappointment was the lake front was not super swimable. There are roots, branches and lily pads in the water which are a bit of an impediment. Regardless we had a great, relaxing time enjoying the lake and northern Michigan!

I am so glad you enjoyed Leelanau Pearl! I love hearing stories like this, the kids fishing for hours reminds me of how I grew up fishing at Chaps Landing across the lake. Also thank you for noticing the details, we worked hard to make your stay a wonderful experience. Lake Leelanau is actually three rivers that have been flooded since the late 1800’s. Trees and stumps have always been an issue and illegal to mow move out. The south end has always kinda been like this. It is not the sugar sand you get on the North End but as you found out, still an enjoyable spot to have a vacation. Thank you so much for your wonderful review. This is an amazing updated rental! My family was pleasantly impressed with all the small details that have been thought out on things that any one group might need during their stay. The location is perfect for anything you would like to see and do. Loved watching the sunrise in the morning in the backyard! Very quiet area with friendly neighbours. Would definitely stay at this location again if available. I’m going to guess this will become a popular unit and will book fast.

Please copy and paste this to make a review .We booked this house pretty last minute, and honestly, it ended up being one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve ever had. From the second we walked in, we were impressed. The house was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The host was amazing to work with. Even with our last-minute booking, communication was quick, friendly, and made the whole process incredibly easy. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in her property.The house itself was even better than the pictures. It was well-maintained, comfortable, and had all the little touches that made it feel like a home instead of just a rental. We spent our stay relaxing and enjoying the space, views and honestly wished we could have stayed longer.If you’re considering booking this property, don’t hesitate. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Lots of memories were made here.
