My sister and I needed a place with a kitchen for a weekend painting workshop we were attending. This lower level apartment was good for our needs.
The PROS: It was clean, reasonably priced, had lots of parking, the kitchen & bathroom with its large corner shower were well supplied and the beds (futon & queen) comfortable. It was convenient for walking to downtown. The little gas pot-bellied stove in the corner of the living area kept us toasty on the cool mornings and evenings. Unlike most of the many places we've rented the lighting was great for reading or painting in the evenings.
CONS: The kitchen faucet dripped no matter how hard we tried to shut it off, the screen door slammed every time we went in or out, the un-carpeted floors in the living area and bedroom were icy cold even when wearing slippers and the curtains over the bedroom window especially were very skimpy. Upon returning to the apt. one evening we noted that none of the solar lights nor the light on the post at the driveway entrance were functioning.
This is a basic, no frills apartment. We would have preferred a little more attention to the decor instead of what seemed like hit and miss cast-offs. The plastic patio chairs for extra seating and the indoor-outdoor carpet under those were a little puzzling. Why not a comfy chair, side table and lamp for reading in that area?
Unfortunately the morning we left it was raining hard and with no rain gutters outside the apt the water was pouring off the roof causing a very wet situation.
We did however enjoy our stay
