A great house for larger groups

We really enjoyed staying here! Large home with an awesome kitchen for gathering with family and friends. We were 10 people and there was plenty of room.

Lovely Large Home So Close to the Beach!

We stayed at this house with a group of kids for a church retreat and it was perfect! So roomy, a lovely kitchen, plenty of places to sleep and just a short walk down the street from the beach! It was amazing and relaxing, well stocked and the hot tub was a great additional feature. Thanks Hans!

Big house 2 blocks from beach

This is a nice home with a very spacious kitchen and common space. Plenty of room for a group or multiple families to gather and enjoy their time together. The house is also a short walk to the beach. Our group of 7 ladies really enjoyed our weekend away.

Great Family Vacation

We loved every part of our stay. The beach not crowded and we enjoyed many hours there. The house is large and spacious and everyone felt at home from the moment we arrived. Beautiful sunsets. A great location to build memories. Hans was great to work with and was very responsive to our questions. Loving time was had by all!

Great for family reunion!

The property was spacious and nicely kept up. Use of the garage was great for our e-bikes. The short walks to the beach in the beautiful neighborhood was just as good as the nice beach area - we loved viewing the channel islands and watching the sunset atop the small sand dunes. Best get together ever!

Spacious home and plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware and dish ware. Only complaint is the living room couches were sticky and dirty. Otherwise, we enjoyed our weekend stay.

Beach walk Bungalow

This house is big with only 3 bedrooms. The master closet has two windows and plenty big as a sleeping room for the kiddos. There are cots in there, as well. The path behind the house leads all the way to the beach. It is magical!

Positives : -nice house -backyard and spa Needs attention: - rooftop patio cushions (missing half of them and a few pieces if furniture are thrashed.) -towels were tattered and you have to search for the old ones they do provide

Peaceful and just what we needed

This home is spacious and welcoming. Just a few blocks from the ocean. We walked over everyday, rain or shine.. just to feel the ocean air. Check in was a breeze, everything was clean and ready for us.. the hot tub was on and that was a bonus. We had 3 families stay. Each took a room and there was enough space for the 12 of us. Rooftop patio- the best- lots of furniture to relax on and the view at sunset was spectacular.

Great Location conveniently located in walking distance to the Ocean

The house was very spacious and accommodated our group comfortably with all the various sleeping needs. The refrigerator did seem to get cold and meats were lukewarm, floors were pretty dirty and really need a good thorough sweeping and mopping. The AC did work at all and it would have been nice to have considering it was a really hot day.

Summer Get-A-Way

Stayed here with my family and sisters family, total of nine people. More than enough space, huge kitchen! Great outdoor area on rooftop to enjoy the evenings! Missing some outlet covers which was a cause of concern for our toddlers. Couldn’t figure out the garbage disposal either.

Great place to stay

The house was clean and the pictures are accurate. It was perfect for four adults and four children. Everything was fully stocked. Hans was very helpful and great about answering any of our questions. The house is just a short walk to the beach. You can also drive and park for free. I can only speak for weekday afternoons but parking was always available and the beach was never busy. As others have mentioned, there was only one slight drawback to the house, it is right by a busy street. However, everything else was great so the street noise would not keep us from coming back again.

Not worth the price

I would not recommend staying at this home for numerous reasons. First it is located just across the street from a very busy thoroughfare, which makes it quite noisy all day and night long. When we first arrived at the home the master suite was locked from the inside. Luckly we were able to find a kitchen utensil to use to unlock the door. The home is very dark as I counted 24 light bulbs not working. This was especially unsafe considering there was no lighting at the front entrance of the home and no lighting on the roof top deck. I did not contact the property manager about these problems because I do not believe it is my job to be the property manager and have to inspect the home for discrepancies that need to be fixed once we arrive. We expect the property manager to take the time to inspect these basic items prior to renting the home to someone. The linens and towels in the home were worn, stained and cheap. We couldn’t use any of the nonstick pots and pans because the finishes were compromised and filthy. Not safe or healthy to use. We did find several stainless-steel pots and pans but had to buy SOS to clean them before they were useable. Finally, after patiently waiting 11 days for my damage deposit to be returned I had to contact the host and ask them to return the deposit to me.

Dirty Towels, Dirty Cookware, and AWFUL Mattresses

I'll start with the good: the location of this property is fantastic. It is an easy walk down to the beach. The kitchen is a great size, as is the living room. And now the rest. I received a notification from Hans, the property manager, that I wouldn't be able to check in at the time indicated on VRBO, as their "extensive" cleaning protocols required that we wait an hour. That was laughable once we got into the house. The refrigerator was so gross that I immediately sent a video to Hans and said, "this did not get cleaned." He replied that the cleaners must have missed it, and that he would "send it up the chain." That was just the first of so much filth: * a towel from the "clean" towels had food caked on it * the bedding stunk * mugs, pans, and cooking utensils all had visible food stuck on them. * the hot pads had food on them * all towels appear to have been obtained from a thrift store, as they were horribly worn and mismatched And then let's talk about the mattresses. I have never felt anything so uncomfortable and broken down. It was truly shocking. I texted Hans on the first morning of our stay and told him that the mattresses were utterly unacceptable. I asked him to sanction the purchase of mattress toppers and he said that he'd check with the owners. We never heard from him again. Our backs were wrecked but it was Thanksgiving, so we couldn't find alternate accommodations. We've stayed at a LOT of VRBO and this was by far the worst.

Memorial Gathering

Common areas are great for gathering. Sleeping is good if you are traveling with kids. We were mostly adults, so it was not as comfortable, but we managed. Overall Good.

6 minute walk to the beach

Fantastic house! The kitchen has a weird layout and the property is next to a loud, busy highway, but overall a very nice vacation rental.
