Being first timers we were unsure what to expect. Staying oceanfront was the best choice we made. The ease of going out with all the beach "stuff" and being able to run the kids in for the bathroom or forgotten goggles was awesome. The beach in front of the home was never crowded, even on the weekends. We thought maybe the peak season hadn't started but on a day trip to Kure they were packed in. It was so nice to get back and have some space. The storage unit is full of everything you need, especially for kids. 2 body boards, a skim board, buckets, shovels, a half dozen chairs, yoga mats, umbrella, and shelters. The 10x10 shelter that was there when we arrived was bent. I gave Tony a heads up and told him the umbrella was working fine. He had a brand new shelter delivered the next day! It was totally above and beyond and we loved it.
I still want the giant 3 family open floor plan house trip but as long as it is just us and the kids La Casita will be the first place we look.
