Pleasant but not peaceful

Nice and well presented, some odd features such as the lack of adequate light in the middle sitting room and no plug that fit the bath properly. We also had no idea it was on such a busy road. Main bedroom was very affected by traffic noise. Pluses outweighed minuses but it might be worth mentioning it's not a hideaway.

Comfortable house in a good location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We wanted to stay in a comfortable and spacious stand-alone place in a quiet part of New Plymouth close to the beach or Pukekura Park. This was almost all of those things, but it was not as quiet as expected as Hori Street had a lot of traffic at peak times. Good things were the outdoor area (ith graden and seating), a well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water (and good pressure), great wifi/internet (unlimited and very fast), walking distance from a supermarket and Pukekura Park, and close proximity to the city centre and Highway 3. Not so good were the ambiguity of instructions (about cleaning and rubish, for example), the lack of small tables to put tea/coffee on, significant amounts of wear and tear, and the traffic noise on Hori St.

The lounge couch was not very comfortable and was cramped when we all (4 adults, 2 preschoolers) wanted to be in it together.No milk provided for a first cup of tea and only a few tea-bags left. It didn't meet our expectations, sadly disappointed.

Good unless you need an ironing board.

A good place to stay in New Plymouth as it is convenient to a number of things. If you are staying for a wedding or something similar I'd give it a miss though as the place doesn't have an ironing board.

Pleasant Stay

Overall our stay was great. The house was adequately equipped although we couldn't find an ironing board. Some minor repairs required to some things. The shower pressure is awesome 👌 btw. The house was not ready for us when we arrived which was disappointing as after travelling we wanted to have a rest. We had to ring the owners to get them to organize a cleaner to come in while we went into town for an hour or so. It was absolutely fine once we were able to get in. The flannelette sheets were a bit hot for this time of the year though. Overall a great stay in NP and the house and property are lovely.

Beautiful Bungalow

We really enjoyed our stay. Home was lovely and clean. Had all the amenities we required. My kids had a blast playing in the beautiful garden. So close to the city and countdown within walking distance. Would highly recommend and will definitely book this if we ever return to New Plymouth.

Lovely home away from home

This was a lovely character house close to everything. Clean and comfortable. We did need to purchase a heater as the one there didn't work and the heat pump is located in the master bedroom away from the living spaces. The smoke alarm was not up either, it looked like it had been removed. Overall though, we loved the house, it's in a quiet location, safe for children with a great back yard and deck. Thank you
