March 2025 Family Stay

Over the course of our March stay, we enjoyed the property with our three kids, their spouses, and six grandchildren. Each of the families stayed one week with us. We really enjoyed the home, pool and location. It is very close to siesta key beach, as well as great shopping areas that include Costco, Total Wine and Publix. We especially enjoyed the pool. The patio furniture was very comfortable and enjoyable, for all of us to watch the kids swim.

Great family place

The house was just as advertised and great place to stay. Pool was nice to relax in and backyard scenery calming. Owners were very attentive if you had any questions or concerns. Very clean which I love! Also, beds comfortable.

We really enjoyed this property. Friends and family who visited us admired the layout. We spent alot of time in the lanai and pool! The location was great with so many fantastic beaches, shops, and restaurants within 15 minute drive. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept and we loved the backyard being a preserve. House well stocked with sheets, towels, and kitchen supplies.

Looking forward to booking again. Managers have been helpful and friendly. The house was clean on move in and let's in a lot of natural light. I kept getting compliments on the tree in the front yard by the Uber Eats drivers 😅

Great Family Space

The patio and pool were a game-changer! Loved the layout with kitchen and family room centrally located and bedrooms in the “wings” of the house. Great kitchen with bar that sits five people. Washer, dryer and dishwasher made housekeeping a breeze. Lots of amenities: two bikes in great shape. For children there is an abundance of books and toys, bikes, tricycles, pool toys, etc. beach chairs and beach towels are provided, too.

Needs a little work and TLC.

We spent a month in this house and can share some of the positives and not so positives.Pros: location is fine, very quiet neighborhood overall, house overlooks a ‘preserve’ in the backyard which was a nice view. Master bed is comfy (didn’t use the other bedrooms.) Property managers were very responsive, appreciated that it was dog friendly, cushioned chairs by pool were comfy. Con’s: some towels & linens grossly stained and worn, the yard is unkept in the back & sides- old planters & other debris makes it look unkept and junky. A number of roof soffits must have blown off in the hurricane and are laying around- this led to some critters crawling around in the roof which we could hear from time to time. While it was nice to park in the garage, it is a cluttered, unkept mess. Parts of the house were visibly dirty (floors, counters, table, rugs) when we checked in, pool area was also a bit dirty and a big pile of dog poop was by the pool. (Property managers offered to come and clean again which we declined.) Other parts of the house just look a bit uncared for- visible mold in the main shower, rickety sliding doors which don’t properly close or lock, a broken faucet handle in the kitchen, a dishwasher that didn’t dissolve the soap, so it didn’t clean well at times. Scalding water in the shower and kitchen & lukewarm in the other areas. Our stay was ok overall, but we have stayed in other VRBOs that are much better cared for! Feedback was shared w/PMs

spacious old house

the home is large and well-equipped but we had almost daily issues that needed maintenance to come and fix--the management company was outstanding but to go 31/2 weeks without a washing machine was brutal...with all the things that didn't work we had workman at the house often--so for all that was wrong with the older home I'm not sure it was worth the cost

Great location!

My husband and I found this property to be in a nice and safe neighborhood in a great location. This house was close to Siesta Key as well as shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed having open area behind the home instead of homes. The pool has a nice lanai area where we spent most of our time. The house has a great, open layout with loads of sliding doors to the pool. The house is outdated and is in need of updates but the floor plan is awesome . The management was easy to contact and very responsive to our needs. When a battery was missing in the smoke alarm, someone was there with a new battery within 30 minutes!

Good, but not great…

Great communication, but felt we had to communicate far too often due to issues. The pool was in poor shape (lots of algae especially, but in need of small repairs too). The front door handle broke (maintenance man said it wasn’t the first time it had). The house smelled musty/old, so a dehumidifier was brought over (which we had to empty it at least 3 times per day). The smell was better, but not gone. The washing machine’s spin cycle only worked intermittently, often taking several times of resetting the machine to get it to spin. Maintenance said he already knew about it, but nothing was ever done (we just dealt with it). The stovetop burners didn’t work at first, but the maintenance person fixed those. We didn’t tell them this (because we were feeling guilty for reporting so many issues, but the pool area - the concrete around it and the aluminum frame on the screen above - we’re both in need of a good power-washing (hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time). As for location, excellent. Nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Very roomy. Comfortable beds and furniture. Plentiful kitchen items, towels, bikes, etc. Although I truly think we overpaid for the stay (given the issues we experienced and the number of days we couldn’t use the pool), we appreciated the location and communication.

Exactly as presented.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this property. We felt very comfortable in this home. The location was perfect as it was close to everything but in a neighborhood which is quiet and had very little traffic.
