Great location, not maintained well, terrible management

Location is terrific, near the Tromf de Arc. Restaurants, grocery stores, metro all close by. Quiet building. This apartment is run badly by a business. Some of the problems we encountered: Checking in the apt was dirty. The management offered to send a housekeeper. 6 days later housekeeping arrived. The couch is old and broken down, the walls were dirty, the blankets are old. Art was missing off the walls, but the holes and hooks remain. Two of the four kitchen dining chairs were broken. The apt is not well stocked, especially the kitchen, hardly any utensils, pots/pans, etc. 1 roll of toilet paper provided for 3 people for a 9 day stay. 1 towel provided for each person, extra charge for more. Be prepared to restock the entire apt, not even a grain of salt. Broken indoor laundry line, and no clips provided, so if you hang them on the outside line, they blow away and you can't get them back--including those precious towels! The wifi broke and it took them two days to send someone to fix it. The worst event: The keys to the apartment building were changed because of a theft problem, the management didn't arrange to bring new keys, I had to call them and ask for them. They promised to send someone, but didn't. I called "after hours" to ask where the keys were, and was told to call back the next day, that keys weren't an emergency! I was hung up on when I insisted on someone coming and then my phone number was blocked! I had to get the manager of the building to call the rental company and insist that they bring keys. All in all, the worst customer service I have ever experienced renting anywhere in the world. As a capper, several weeks after I checked out, they sent me an email saying one set of keys were missing.

Good location and apartment, but small details overlooked

The apartment is in a very convenient location. There are 2 metro stations within a 5 minute walk. The place is comfortable, beds too. The larger bedroom has no closet, so you need to use the one in the hall. The second bedroom is tiny - it has a twin bed and that's pretty much all that fits. But, it has a good size closet. The bathroom is good. There's a washing machine, but no dryer. If you go when it's warm, you can hang your laundry outside on the balcony. The owners overlook some things, which in the grand scheme of things aren't a big deal, but would make the overall experience better. There was no dishwashing liquid, a sponge, only one roll of toilet paper, no basics like salt, pepper, sugar, kitchen towel, laundry detergent, etc. There's a small market across the street, so you can stock up there. Also, they only provided one set of towels (one bath, one hand) for each person. This was a bit inconvenient. We stayed for a week, so needed to wash and dry, which is tough when you leave the apartment in the morning and don't come back until late; they don't quite dry overnight. One other note, I don't think the apartment is actually in Eixample, though again, the location was convenient. If not for the above small stuff, would be a 5.

Great location & well presented apartment

Ali Bei 3 was perfect for our needs as a family for a short stay in the city. The apartment was easily accessible, very clean (including the bedding & towels provided), comfortable, had plenty of living space (with a 3 year old toddler this is necessary!) and sufficiently appointed with necessary kitchen appliances & crockery etc. We had a fantastic time staying here and in the city. All the main sights are within easy walking distance - Sagrada Familia (10mins), Ramblas (15mins), Marina/Beach (15/20mins). There are a few lovely cafes close by for breakfast & El Born is perfect for those on a tapas and bar hunt later in the day just 10min walk away. We would highly recommend this property and the agents managing it (Habitat Apartments) to anyone. They were in close contact with us to ensure smooth check in and very helpful at answering any questions we had. The only point to note, would be that no basic food stuffs are provided (tea, coffee, salt, sugar, oil..) although there is a supermarket opposite where you can pick most things up or bring supplies with you if only staying a few days.

We are glad to hear you definitely enjoyed your stay in the apartment and also in Barcelona itself. You always have something to see and to do here, I personaly think you were at the right location to visit all the sightseeing spots of the city. Moreover, we apreciate especially your point concerning our good management. We try each day to improve our relation with our guests so it makes us happy at that moment to hear that. However, we don't provide at all any supplies as you said. We apologize for that. We wish you a wonderful day and we look forward to see you soon.
