Mid winter break at Royal Kahana

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

An epic adventure for sure. We arrived mid afternoon Feb 9th knowing that a hefty storm was hitting. Checkin instructions arrived early the day of Feb 9th and were clear and easy to understand. Getting into the unit went smooth. All the while winds were hitting 50mph. We weren't too worried and winds this high we are used too. The unit inside is great has an authentic Hawaiian vibe and we really wanted to know who the native Hawaiians in the picture art were. Kitchen well appointed. Beach stuff and chairs too. Stocked with showering ammentities. Later that first night we headed to dinner at 7pm Order drinks and Bam the power goes out. And as a precaution the power stayed out for 30 hours straight, too avoid another disaster on the west side. Our family lives on a small touristy island as well so we get these things. After the power came on our faucet sprung a was immediately fixed later that day. The buildings hotwater was affected also for awhile and when we could use it the we found the dishwasher had died from the power outage. It was also immediately replaced with a brand new dishwasher. These were all acts of nature and problems caused by rightly trying to avoid another tragedy.It really made the trip one to remember but also hope that next time mother nature gives us a small break! Epic reality was super responsive to all the problems and we still had a memorable trip.Thank you to them and the owner
