Apartment area: Dear GUEST the apartment GRAN CANAL it's on a second floor of a XIII century venetian building situated in to the best and oldest part of Venice, just behind (1 minute walking) the old and famous fisch,fruit,vegetable,meet market. All around the area, there are every kinds of service,taxi-boat,public-motorboat,gondola-service, shops,bars,resturants,pharmacy,souvenirs,fashion,jewellery, internet points,...and many others. This is the area where the venetian people live, and where the do them shopping.Few step away(2-3 minutes walking) from the apartment GRAN CANAL you cand find the Rialto Bridge and the Gran Canal (The movie : Casino' Royale with James Bond was made here.) where are all the gondoliere singhing the venetian songs. From the apartment GRAN CANAL to get to S.Marco Square takes about 10 minutes walking,....but if will look all the shops, the churchs, the museums, the monumentes, the little canals, the gondola, around you, will takes much longer to get there.!!!

Wonderful!

This is a gem! We stayed in the Rialto Bridge Apt. which is small, but has everything two people would need. So many details in this apartment. TV, WIFI, lots of electrical outlets, very nice bathroom. Great location!

WONDERFUL!

Great apartment!

This is our 2nd stay with Fabio and we give it the highest recommend it to all who want to enjoy Venice. The apartment is well decorated and has all the amenities you will need. Includes WIFI, TV and air conditioning for you comfort. On site managers are fantastic and apartment is well stocked with coffee, milk, etc. Highly recommend this property along with the adjoining Rialto Bridge apartment. Pat and Glenda Rooney

Wonderful stay in Venice

We had a wonderful stay in Venice in this apartment. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, and the furnishing was excellent. There was enough room for 4 adults and 2 young children. The location was perfect - just behind the Rialto market - and we even had a chance to buy some fresh local seafood and cook them at home! The restaurants and cafe nearby were great - not too touristy with reasonable prices. Thank you Fabio very much for a great stay. I will definitely recommend this apartment to my family and friends, and if I go back to Venice again, there's no doubt I'll stay in this apartment again.

We loved our stay in this Venice apartment!

Wow! what a lovely apartment and in a perfect location! It is so near the Rialto Bridge and within walking distance to all of the sights but on a quieter quaint street with great shops, restaurants and vendors; near the local fish market which is rich w great fruits, vegies, fish etc. The apartment itself is very roomy and spotlessly clean! Having traveled quite a bit before getting to Venice, with many places with small, tight spaces, we especially loved the large beautiful bathroom! The view out of the window in the den looking onto the street is postcard. The owners were so nice and very easy to work with. We HIGHLY recommend this apartment - a GREAT experience that we hope we can return to!

Excellent Location

My actual apartment was Rialto Bridge, Next door, smaller but still well fitted. The Calle Boteri has some lovely shops and restaurants, typically Venetian. The Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stop, just round the corner by the Fish Market(Fantastic atmosphere) where the No.1 stops is a wonderful setting off point for connections anywhere in the city,lagoon and The Lido. For self-catering, the next stop,(Ca'Doro) or a picturesque walk via the Ferrovia or Rialto Bridge routes brings one to the well stocked Billa supermarket. Their branch on the Lido(Route 1)also incorporates a very well priced Department Store,OVS. The ONLY down point to the Rialto Bridge apartment is the view from the bedroom, at what looks like a small Builders Yard, whereas I understand the large Grand Canal apartment has a Calle view. That apart I would definitely rebook.

Comfortable and Immaculate Apartment

My husband and I stayed at the Rialto Bridge apartment for ten nights and enjoyed everything about it. Victoria, the apartment manager, met us at the boat dock and walked us to the apartment. She was fabulous in explaining all the details of the apartment and got us settled in, assuring us she would help us with anything we needed. We have been home in the U.S. for only a few days and miss Venice and "our apartment" so much. We never met Fabio Pilla but we appreciate his concern for making the apartment comfortable for travelers who like preparing simple meals and enjoying comfortable surroundings. The location was great in that it was quiet yet has stores and restaurants nearby in addition to an easy walk to the center of the city. We loved being in that location for the convenience of the vast produce market nearby and the access to buy fresh fish at the open-air fish market down the street. Perfect Location for our 40th Wedding Anniversary

Fabio you did not know it was our wedding anniversary for our visit but your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated and added to our wonderful 10 day holiday in your beautiful Gran Canal Apartment. We had no problems at all reaching the Rialto Mercato from Marco Polo Airport using the blue ATVO Venice Express bus to Piazzale Roma and then the number 1 waterboat to Rialto Mercato where Lily was there to meet us and take us on to the apartment. The apartment itself was situated at the end of Calle dei Botteri on the first floor of a very unique and quiet old building. Lily was very helpful and explained everything that we needed to know even though we both struggled a little with each others respective languages and she kept the apartment spotless for our stay. Gran Canal has very generously proportioned rooms with wonderful chandeliers, the bedroom has TV if you need it and sufficient wardrobe space with a safe. The bathroom is very tastefully tiled with a wonderful shower and all the toiletries and towels that you would require. As has been said before in these reviews the view from the Kitchen/Diner down Calle dei Botteri is really special with Venetian life passing by. The kitchen has all the equipment you would need to eat in if you wanted to and with a wonderful fish and fruit market 5 minutes walk away. There are any number of great places close the apartment to eat out at night as we did and one quite lovely Trattoria, Poste Vecie the oldest restaurant in Venice close to the fish market where we had our anniversary night out. There are so many wonderful places to see and visit in Venice we would not like to suggest any one in particular our advice would be to follow your nose and enjoy everything it is a truly "Special" place. Many thanks Fabio and Monica for a truly memorable stay in your lovely apartment, it is even nicer than the photographs, we would not hesitate to recommend you to any of our friends contemplating a holiday in Venice. Wonderful Apartment in Venice

The apartment was exactly as it is pictured, it was in a perfect location, it was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The bed was a bit too hard but I just took the foam mattress from the roll-a-way and placed it on the bed and I slept like I was at home. My boyfriend loves a firm mattress so he was very happy. I couldn't have asked for a better location while in Venice, I loved the fact that we were so close to a market that stayed open a little later than most and had wine, pasta, eggs, fruit, vegetables and just about everything you needed to cook with. The fish market was also pretty amazing and well, there was so much to do and see in the neighborhood with several after hour clubs/pubs and plenty of restaurants so close by, all within walking distance. I was very glad I had decided to stay in the apartment instead of a hotel. I scored big points with my boyfriend who couldn't stop praising me for the excellent choice in accommodations. I will most certainly stay in this apartment again should we decided to go back to Venice. I can tell you, there was so much to do and see that we will definitely be back. This apartment is so perfect, it is most definitely a hidden jewel, with great access to several vaporetto stops such as Rialto, Rialto Mercado and St. Marks with signs posted everywhere, it was easy to find our way from any of these stops. I also need to thank Fabio and Claudia for being so very patient with us when we first landed, as the baggage handlers were on strike and it took over 3 hours to get our luggage. They were so very patient and understanding, it put me at ease and I didn't feel any extra pressure or anxious about getting to our meeting place before we could. I have nothing but praise for this apartment. Many thanks for such a wonderful stay, Teresa R., Washington, DC, U.S.A. Eric H., Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A. A side note to anyone considering renting this apartment, the owners are ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Neighborhood retreat

Grand Canal Apartment was a great/comfortable and convenient location. It was a couple of blocks from the Rialto Markets and a short walk to many shops/ restaurants/bars and the Rialto Bridge. It was at the end of a neighborhood Calle that was generally quiet. The 2 AC units (one in the bedroom & one in the living room) kept us comfortable on some warm/humid nights! Just ONE flight up to this second floor apartment made it fairly easy to get our bags into the apartment! A family of 4 could comfortably fit, but more than that would be too tight for us. Fabio & Monica were most responsive to our needs & questions and very kindly stocked the kitchen with some breakfast items and beverages for any immediate needs! There is a small grocery nearby. We would definitely recommend this apartment!

Heart of Venice in a Centuries Old Dwelling

History flows from every pore of this second story apartment near the Rialto Bridge. When the latest European heat wave became too much it became an air-conditioned refuge for our family of five. Sampling local cuisine is as easy as walking one minute to excellent food. Arrangements for entry to the apartment are very well organized. Definitely recommended.

Vanessa was wonderful! She responded to all of my questions and provided us with specific and very detailed directions using WhatsApp prior to our arrival. This was our first trip to Venice so it was a bit overwhelming. When we arrived, she was very welcoming and informative. She provided us with valuable information about where to eat and visit in Venice. The room/apartment was updated, clean and even included a washing machine that was new! The room had an espresso maker which was lovely! The staff was very friendly! No issues whatsoever.

Best Rental property

On our first trip to Venice we were so lucky to find this apartment. It truly made our visit special. Modern, clean, quality products used and good customer service made for a great visit. The apartment was quiet at night, comfortable bed, good linens, great location - close but not too close. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Rialto Bridge apartment

We met Daniella at Rialto Bridge as arranged and she directed us to the apartment.It is centrally located but on a quiet side street so there is no noise despite it being only 2 or 3 minutes from the famous Rialto Market. The room is small although perfectly big enough for our needs.The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom stylishly decorated.The bathroom was spacious and very well appointed.The apartment was very clean and secure.I would have no hesitation in recommending it as a convenient and pleasant place to stay in Venice.

Charming apartment with Venetian character

This apartment consists of a large bedroom, kitchen/dining room and a bathroom. There is a fold out sofa bed in both rooms and all the beds are comfortable. By Venetian standards I believe it is quite spacious. The kitchen area itself is small, but equipped with everything you need. The water was hot and the heating was efficient. It was a good place to come back to after a day of getting lost and found in the maze of streets that make up this city. The apartment is not far from the Rialto bridge, so it is reasonably easy to orient yourself. We had no trouble reaching the major sites and museums on foot, especially once we worked out that you can use the signs to Piazza San Marco, Ponte Rialto, Ponte Accademia and the Ferrovia as reference points. There are supermarkets and small groceries nearby. We had a small problem with the toaster which the owner was quick to remedy. I was glad that we chose this apartment and would highly recommend it.

Wonderful apartment.. Highly recommended

Very hard to find enough superlatives. In order: excellent communication from Monica and Fabio. We booked many months ahead. Everything is exactly as advertised. Actually it is better. We were met at the Rialto Alilaguna by Fabio on a rainy, dark night. He sped up the Rialto bridge steps, a case in each hand. We stayed a week in Rialto - it is warm and cosy and the kitchen works! When the rest of the family arrived we moved to Gran Canal for another 10 days. This is bigger and has a quite lovely view down C. Botteri. Wonderful showers and kitchens in each. Excellent backup from Fabio for a couple of minor issues. This is our 6th stay in Venice and this was our best experience. Highly recommended

Better than the 4star hotel we stayed at last year

We had a great week in Fabio's apartment Gran Canal with its marvellous bedroom and bathroom (as splendid as shown in the photos). The view from the kitchen/diner was more entertaining than watching TV: full Italian life with people walking their dogs, greengrocers putting up their stalls and elderly ladies having a chat. There are good restaurants in 'our' calle and a Billa and a Coop supermarket near Campo San Polo. The location is ideal: vaporetto stop Rialto Mercato is very close but it's fun to walk to Rialto Bridge or Campo San Polo. We were met by a very friendly girl at Rialto Bridge. Her English was far from perfect but that was only good for us: We were forced to brush up our rusty Italian. She was eager to explain how everything worked in the flat and she even came mid-week to give the place an extra cleaning - something so nice we hadn't experienced before. The frizzante and the little cakes we found on the table were delicious - tante grazie, Fabio! The owner responded immediately to every question we asked and he was very generous concerning our check-out time - grazie mille, Fabio! We'll be back next year!

Für 6 Personen sehr klein

Die Lage der Wohnung ist genial und das haben wir sehr genossen. Bei der Ankunft fehlten allerdings einige Dinge in der Küche. Monica hat sich bemüht alles zu besorgen. Nach 2 bis 3 Tagen war die Ausstattung dann vollzählig. Eines hat uns bis zuletzt gestört: die Wohnung ist sehr viel kleiner als beschrieben: Sie hat maximal 40 qm anstatt 60 qm wie angegeben. Auch der Platz um Kleidungsstücke und Gepäck zu verstauen war für 6 Personen zu gering: nur 1 Schrank, (im dem auch noch der Tresor Platz hatte) für alle! Deshalb fühlten wir uns sehr beengt. Wir können die Wohnung für 2-4 Personen mit Kindern bestens empfehlen, aber nicht für mehr! Noch ein Tip: Der Müll wird täglich an der Strasse abgeholt. Wir haben dann gesehen, dass man den Müll auch getrennt abgeben kann. Das sollten die Urlauber zu Beginn vom Vermeiter erklärt bekommen. Fazit: Wenn wir zu zweit wieder nach Venedig fahren, würden wir die Wohnung gerne wieder buchen.

My Response Sehr geehrter Kunde, lesen wir einen Beitrag, und wir waren sehr beeindruckt von seinem Kommentar jedoch enttäuscht, dass wir Respekt, aber, aber "wir müssen einige Dinge, die unserer Meinung nach nicht der Realität entspricht herauszufordern '! L 'Wohnung ist nicht 40 Quadratmeter, aber wie die Entwürfe von unseren Architekten an die städtische Polizei, die dann überprüft die Richtigkeit eingereicht' der Dinge und mq, 60. Diese Maßnahme angesichts der Schlafzimmer, das Wohnzimmer, Küche, Bad., Und der Eingang. Wie für die Küche nichts fehlte und dass sie behauptete, zwei weitere Töpfe mehr "und wir haben die meisten getan" so bald wie möglich. Wir haben eine komplette sauber 2 mal (wie wir es immer tun) inklusive Bettwäsche und Handtücher, Seife, Shampoo ecc.internet Spülmaschine, Trockner, Waschmaschine, Klimaanlage all inclusive !!!!! ......... Wir haben alles, was wir können, um Ihren Urlaub enthalten die meisten "schön wie möglich, und es habe noch nie in unsere Karrieren von Leuten wie dir passiert ist, und wenn Sie wollen, zu verstehen, wo man ist" die Wahrheit "bastara 'Blick auf all die Kommentare (reviews) von unseren Kunden überlassen. Rialto Apartment (1 bedroom)

My husband and I stayed at the Rialto Apartment, which is a 1-bedroom version of the pictures you see for the Grand Canal Apartment. It is much smaller than the apartment for 6 but everything is condensed perfectly for a home away from home. The style of the apartment matches that in the photos and it is beautifully looked after and spotless. It has an efficient air con system (so much so that we didn't need it on all the time!), a safe and a reassuring modern door lock card. The only thing we would say is that the kitchen hob took quite a long time to heat up (although we enjoyed eating in for one night!). We spent 3 days exploring Venice - in our opinion, the apartment is in a perfect location - close enough to wander to the Rialto Mercato and the vaporetto but you are not on top of hundreds of tourists. The price was cheaper than many of the hotels that would have provided anything close to the retreat we found here. As a tip for new visitors to Venice, the vaporetti are a lovely way to view the city but you can easily walk around the main areas (it only takes about 20min or less to get to St Mark's Square). That said, a trip to Murano is definitely recommended! Enjoy! Steve and Jess, UK

Wonderful place to stay

I cannot believe our luck in finding this apartment. So close to everything and completely self contained. Before we visited I asked Fabio and Monica lots of question by email and each one was answerered politely and with lots of information. We were met at the ferry terminal by a lovely girl named Lily who took us to the apartment and showed us where everything was and how it all worked and did not leave until she was happy we were happy. It is beautifully decorated in true venetian style and my only problem was I wish we could have stayed much longer. Thank you Fabio, Monica and all of your staff.

Beautiful, spotless apartment in a great location

I really hope that we will be able to return to Venice soon, and that this apartment will be available when we do. My boyfriend and I were there for two nights, and would have loved to stay for another month. The place is very spacious and positively spotless. My boyfriend thought the shower was one of the best in his life. There are enough of supplies in the kitchen for making dinner (except for the conspicuous lack of a spatula), which I would highly recommend since restaurants are insanely expensive and the apartment is only a few blocks from the Rialto market where vendors sell fresh fish and fruits and vegetables Mon-Sat. We were very impressed with the work that went into the renovation, the paint job around the wood-beamed ceiling is meticulously neat and the appliances in the kitchen are very high-quality and quiet. There is just one bedroom and a big kitchen/living room, but a lot of people could fit in the apartment as the couches are pull-out beds and there is also a twin rollaway. However, I'm glad there were only two of us. The only point of trouble (as always with vacation apartments) was some miscommunication about checking in. I didn't find out until we arrived at the apartment that the check-in time is 2pm or later (my email told me it was anytime between 8am and 9pm) so since we arrived at 1pm, the apartment was still being cleaned, so we had to leave our bags and return 45 minutes later. If travelling from outside of Europe (as we are from the US), I would recommend enabling your cell phone to make calls in Europe, communication is difficult otherwise as pay phones can be hard to come by and the host has no way of contacting you.

We are very sorry about your arrival but we could not check them in before 14.00 (that would be the check-in) because 'customers before you have left the apartment at 11.45 am instead of the 11.00 am as provided by check-out. in the e-mail we've written that you could come at any time, but this related only to the time of appointment with our staff, and 'came to pick her up at the meeting provided. We care a lot 'cause everything is simple and hassle free for our customers. So our staff has done everything possible to clean the apartment as much as 'quickly as possible so' she could check in at 13.45. Us when we can, let the customers beyond the timetable according to the last day of stay, forever if possible and without anycharge, and if we can also check in the first ever of 14.00 if the apartment is not'busy other customers. However, these are small things that count and that you have spent an unforgettable holiday. For us there is' just a philosophy, customer satisfaction.
