Great location

Great base for exploring Lisbon

The apartment is small but comfortable and very well situated for walking around Lisbon. Nice to be in Alfama but still accessible by car for ride pick-ups etc. Monica and Afonso were very accommodating and we especially appreciated the late check-out. There was a pretty good cross-breeze from the windows so it wasn’t too warm in late May, but I think the lack of AC might be an issue in the summer.

Wonderful location. The four flights of stairs might be an issue for other people,not for us as we knew what we were getting into. Everything is in easy walking distance and great restaurants near by.

Perfect location!

This apartment was ideal! My host Duarte was absolutely the best!! Met me at check in, gave me recommendations for groceries, things to do and tips on public transportation. He even made a special trip back to the apartment on a later date to help with shade issue and another time with a slight WI-FI problem that was quickly solved. I can’t express how wonderful this experience was! Thank you Duarte and Be At Home!!

Loving Lisbon

The apartment had everything we needed for a most comfortable, convenient and pleasant week. We were able to walk to “everything “ - enjoy bars and restaurants throughout the city and some just steps from the apartment! In Lisbon ? Stay here! We were on top floor - walk up- handled it easily 👍

Great central location in Lisbon

We enjoyed our stay during our trip! The location was perfect for us, we were able to easily walk to many restaurants and museums/historic sites, and it was easy to take the bus/train to farther spots. The apartment was a good home base and great spot to relax after a long day of walking around. There was a nice view of the street and a small peek at the river and cruise ships out of the two balcony windows. The mattress was a bit harder than we prefer, but we were so tired each night that it wasn’t a huge problem to sleep on. Although we didn’t cook much, the kitchen seemed well stocked with supplies. There was also a large closet that was great for storage.Our host replied quickly to any of the questions we had. Overall we would recommend this apartment and would stay here again!

Very good Location and view

Very nice apartment, it had all We needed. We loved the balcony, just big enough for two chairs and a small table. It had a view of the river and we saw the cruise ships come and go. Nice to have a washing Maschine. You get good exercise taking the stairs to the fourth floor. With the windows closed at night it was quiet even though we were in the middle of the city. Just up some stairs and small streets and you are in the old town of Alfama. We found the madras very hard, think you need to buy a new and better one.

Great Location & View with a Few Minor Notes

We had a great stay at the Alfama Apartments overall. The check-in process was very easy, and the management was flexible and accommodating — they kindly allowed us to check in early, which was a big help after a long travel day.The apartment itself is a good size, with a fantastic balcony that offers a stunning view over Alfama. The location is perfect — walking distance to lots of great food, sights, and transit options. Definitely one of the best parts of the stay.Inside, there’s lots of closet space, plenty of outlets, and the layout works well for a short stay. That said, there were a few small downsides: the bed felt quite well-used, the shower leaked slightly, and the floor and kitchen weren’t as clean as we expected upon arrival. Also, worth noting that it’s five flights of stairs with no elevator — not an issue for us, but something to be aware of.All in all, a lovely apartment with unbeatable views and a great location, with just a few minor issues that could easily be improved.

A Comfortable Stay in Lisbon

We enjoyed being close to all of the sites. The apartment has excellent access to the metro and really all modes of transportation to get around Lisbon. The host was very responsive to us which we appreciated, especially when our arrival was delayed an hour. The kitchen had just the basics- sparsely equipped. Dishwasher detergent was not provided, so if you want to use it you’ll need to buy your own. The bedroom and closet are the biggest area in the apartment and were nice and bright. The bed is a firm king size mattress. The internet wifi was excellent- very fast.

Not as pictured or described

The location and view are great but the apartment needs some TLC. The decorative pillows looks dusty and moldy. The bathroom shower licks leaving a huge puddle on the floor every time we took a shower and the water didn’t drain collecting in the basin. We contacted the manager who came and confirmed the licked and told us she would send a maintenance guy and be in contact with us. She never contacted us and a maintenance guy never showed in the five days we were there. The floor plan is not practical and makes it challenging to find a joint area to congregate. It is not really suitable for three people. The kitchen dint have paper towels and only a dirty stinky sponge. When we asked the manager for paper towels and new sponge she said the apartment is self sustained and guest need to buy the items needed. There was also no shampoo/conditioner nor lotion.

Appartement conforme à l'annonce. Idéalement placé, on s'y sent très vite à l'aise.Les 4 étages sont compensés par la vue sur le Tage. Merci à Monica pour sa réactivité. Je recommande vivement.

Disappointing

Greeted by the daughter who couldn’t leave fast enough and left before we could ask any questions. Place was very dirty and the shower was disgusting. Had to clean before we could unpack.Water also leaked from the shower no matter how you closed the doors.Has a washing machine which was very important to us but no English instructions could be found. The sheets and 2 pillows were of poor quality. I think the worst problem beside the dirty accommodations was the lack of proper lighting! It had a dressing room that was dirty of course but even when cleaned we couldn’t see well. Very uncomfortable sofa (no arms) no curtains, needed to put the security rails down for privacy.It is helpful to note there are 5 flights of stairs as Europe starts their main floor at 0 (which we knew)This is not a property we would recommend ! The only thing good about the places was the location to the cruise port as we arrived by ship. Look elsewhere is our recommendation !

des vacances bien sympathiques

Un accueil sympathique, un appartement charmant avec un petit balcon offrant une vue sur la mer, très propre, très bien situé, à proximité des transports et permettant des belles balades au centre, ou en bord de mer. N'hésitez pas à vous perdre dans les petites rues d'Alfama. Ce fut un séjour bien agréable.

Vor dem Haus war eine Großbaustelle. Von Montag bis Freitag war großer Baulärm mit Presslufthammern, Kreissägen und Eisenflexmaschinen von 8 Uhr bis 17 Uhr.

La ubicación del apartamento hace de él uno de los aspectos más valorados. La amabilidad tanto de Monica como de Antonia. Cama cómoda y amplia. La única pega que con dos niños pequeños y un carro subir hasta un cuarto después de todo el día pesaban mucho los tramos de escaleras. El timbre de la puerta sonaba de vez en cuando solo, despertando a los pequeños que dormían en el sofá.

Great Apartment and Excellent Service

I had the pleasure to stay for over four weeks in this beautiful apartment Sé in Alfama in September 2021. The apartment is on the 4th floor and the view from the balcony over the Tejo river and the neighborhood is just breathtaking. I enjoyed my stay there very much. The apartment is bright and pleasant, the overall atmosphere positive and friendly. I would like to highlight the excellent customer service. It was exceptional! I was very happy with the support and help that I had received, the communication was quick and friendly, very customer-oriented. Thank you very much for everything Luzia, Tiago and Antónia!

Gerne wieder

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Den kleinen Balkon haben wir zum Sonnenaufgang genutzt. Die Lage ist toll! In wenigen Minuten ist man mitten im Geschehen. Bus quasi vor der Haustür. Falls man lärmempfindlich ist und gerne bei geöffnetem Fenster schläft unbedingt Ohrstöpsel ins Gepäck. Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein! 67 steile Stufen. Ich fand die Matratze sehr hart! Vielleicht eine dicke Decke zur Verfügung stellen, damit man etwas weicher liegen kann. Ich hatte mir eine gekauft

Buena experiencia

La ubicación es muy buena, en el mismo Alfama pero en una zona muy tranquila. El apartamento está bien equipado y es muy acogedor. Muy buen trato con nuestra manager que atendió todas nuestras peticiones. Repetiríamos. Un ventilador más para la segunda habitación nos hubiese venido muy bien.
