The house is super pretty and comfy. My whole family and the dog felt super comfortable. There are two pools - one heated, which is across the Main Street and about 7 mins walk. And one not heated, which is only a two minutes walk from the house. The only thing is, that the next public beach access is a drive of about 15 mins from the house. The beach is goergeos, with the white sand and the turquoise water.

Family Vacation

The property was a perfect fit for our group of 8 people. We really enjoyed the Prominence neighborhood. It was very cozy and was a great location to enjoy biking and enjoying a nice, relaxing visit to the pool. It is a short drive to multiple beach access points. I would recommend this property.

Had a Wonderful Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our week at Sweet home 30A. The house is beautiful and in a great location. It was clean and well-maintained. We loved Prominence and the Hub! We found it easier to drive to a beach access for the day. Grayton Beach State Park was our favorite with easier access for a family member that couldn't walk long distances. The bikes were a great addition. The living room furniture is showing some wear, so may need to be replaced before long, but everything else was pristine. We will return.

Not walking distance to beach (as described) and very dirty rugs and furniture

All rugs were filthy and need to be either replaced or power washed. We originally booked this beach house because it said it was a 15 minute WALK to the beach. This is 100% inaccurate. It is about a 5 minute drive + a 15 minute walk (only access they provided was Deer Lake State park). We were incredibly disappointed when discovering this as we have 2 small children and grandparents joining us.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Sarah. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the rugs during your stay. We take cleanliness very seriously, and upon receiving your comment, we conducted a thorough inspection. As a result, we have scheduled a deep cleaning of the carpets to ensure this issue does not recur. Regarding the beach access, Deer Lake State Park is indeed the closest access point to the rental, and according to Google, it is within an 18-minute walk or a 3-minute drive. There is also another option at Santa Clara, which is approximately an 8–10-minute drive away. However, we understand the importance of proximity, especially when traveling with young children and grandparents. For future stays, we encourage you to consider one of our beachfront properties, which might better suit your family's needs. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide a more seamless experience. Kind regards, Benchmark Management

Spring Break 2026 The communication leading up to the trip was great. We received our check in information via text several hours before check in time. The link within the text led to a clunky page meant to be helpful with all the info you'd need for your stay but the only info listed there was the door code and pool code. We arrived late and in the dark, so it wasn't until morning that I realized the garage door had a different entry system with a pin code key box. It took almost two hours to get a response for that code, and a second day to get the bike lock combos, which were all left locked inside the bike baskets. Why was this info not only not in the link sent, but not located on the info sheet in the house? That lack of pertinent information made for a frustrating start to the trip, and is easily solved with a little forethought and care. The house itself was fantastic. Newer, comfortable couches and beds. Plenty of space. Kitchen well supplied with gadgets and tools. No extra blankets! The location of the house was both good and lacking. Proximity to The Big Chill was great; our 6 teen boys enjoyed hanging out there, and in the gameroom garage. In terms of overall location, it's not really near anything else unless you're in shape to bike several miles. We biked 1 mile to the beach daily using Deer Lake State Park entry. The fact that the house is so close to the beach, yet you can't access it because of the Watersound Beach Club fences and gates is a real bummer!

Please note that we would have been happy to provide extra blankets if requested during your stay. We truly appreciate your stay and hope to have the opportunity to host you again for a smoother experience.

Property is great and clean with great ammenities. Great location and access to the Chill. Access to the beach requires driving. Description on property is misleading. We would not have rented the unit without a walkable beach access. Closest access is 1.1mi with very limited parking if you dont arrive early. With newly limited access to the beach on 30A, there is not enough parking at public beaches to accommodate all those trying to access the beach. No access to grills when raining. When pools are closed due to weather, access to grills is closed also. Check in lacked pool info and we had issues with door code. Property Manager was available and responded quickly however it made for a frustrating check in after a long drive. I only recommend this unit and area if you are looking to spend most of your time at the Chill and pool. If you enjoy full days at the beach, I do not recommend.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We’re glad you enjoyed the cleanliness, amenities, and convenient location near The Chill. As stated in our listing, Sweet Home 30A is approximately 1 mile from both a public beach access and Deer Lake State Park, which is about a 15-minute walk or 5-minute bike ride. While we provide this information clearly, parking at the public beach access is managed locally and can be limited during busy times. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. The charcoal grill is a community grill located by the pool, as clearly stated in our listing. Please note, it is not a private grill within the property. All access codes, including those for the pool and beach, are sent to guests one week prior to arrival through our digital guidebook to help ensure a smooth check-in. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to improve our guest communications. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope to host you again in the future.

Great vacation despite issues…

Location was great! House is spacious and practically brand new. Beds were very comfortable. Had a great time with the family. Property management can definitely do better. Their responsiveness pre-stay and during was not great. Pool code did not work. There was no info on how to open the garage or code info for the bike locks. The property was not well stocked at all. We had to buy EVERYTHING. There was nothing in there. Additionally, we had no bedding for the pull out couch for one of our guests. We called property management and they never responded till late afternoon the next day so our guest had no sheets or blanket the first night. I would definitely come back to this area but will use another property.

Overall good, a few dislikes, excellent community

"We had a mixed but overall pleasant stay at this VRBO. The location is excellent, with a beautiful beach just a short drive away, and the host's communication was top-notch—they made the check-in process incredibly smooth. The community itself was lovely, and we enjoyed our time there. On the other hand, the cleanliness was a disappointment. The home felt like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. We found unvacuumed floors, sticky countertops, and sand and trash under the sofa cushions. For a home that accommodates 13 people, we were also surprised by the lack of basic supplies. We quickly ran out of toilet paper (only one roll per bathroom), and there were no trash bags, coffee filters, or cleaning supplies. The listing mentions a "game room," but it's important for future guests to know this is in the garage without AC, and the games and equipment are old and broken. Also, while the beach is beautiful, it's not a walkable distance if you have kids or beach gear; you'll need to drive and find public parking, which can be limited. With a bit more attention to cleaning and stocking basic supplies, this property has the potential to be a 5-star stay, so we had to give it a 3."

Thank you for the kind words about our communication and location, and we’re sorry about the cleanliness concerns. We’ve addressed them with housekeeping and added extra QA checks. For supplies, we provide a starter set only and do not replenish during stays; this is clearly stated in the listing. The game room is in the garage and does not have AC; we’ll have it clarified in the listing. We appreciate the feedback and hope to host you again for a smoother, five-star stay.

Nice but needs a lot more TLC!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was an overall nice place to stay however it needed a lot of TLC and it was quiet dirty. There was a lot of staining on the sofa's, carpets, to bed linen and comforters. The location itself was deceiving because at first glance it is close to the beach but it's a mile plus drive to the state park entrance and then probably another mile to the actual beach. We ended up driving to a different beach further up the coast. For a place that can accommodate 10+ people one would think that there would be sufficient toilet paper and paper towels. There were no additional toilet paper and paper towels except for what was hanging. No extra trash bags.

30 A vacay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were quite disappointed. We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb and VRBO properties. This house was very limited with their kitchen ware as well as there was only 1 dishwasher pod. Toilet paper and paper towels were just what was left on the rolls. TV’s cable was poor. Codes they provided for pool were not correct. They had changed on 7/4 and we arrived on 7/9. There was not a crock pot and fridge door/ice was broke and we reported right away and no one even attempted to fix it. For what we paid for this property-it wasn’t worth it at all.

Michelle,Thank you for reviewing your stay! We regret to hear that you've had a negative experience, as our main goal is to always meet the requirements of all our guests. The kitchen and bathroom essentials provided were only a starter kit, hence the reason we only provided one of each. We recommend that you report issues like limited kitchen wares during your stay, so we can have the items you desire to be delivered to you. On the brighter side, we hope that you enjoyed the live music, delicious dining, and quaint shops which are all just steps away.We look forward to hosting you again soon! Sincerely, Benchmark Management

Close to the big chill

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful- large and clean. The front porch was a wonderful place to gather. The house looked new- very appealing. We were close to the pool and the big chill. Very convenient. We accessed the beach via the park. Was a great place. Benchmark- that’s a different story. The upstairs shower was leaking causing water to drip down through the recessed lighting. I called in Sunday and they asked we not use that bathroom. I called again and maintenance showed up and said he had to get another service there bc he was not allowed to do exploratory leak assessments. He left- a day went by- I had to call again- same guy came out- same story. We left Saturday- could not use that bathroom all week. Nobody came or followed up. Hope for the homeowners sake someone goes there - it’s a beautiful home and water would damage it. We also took video of the leak so the maintenance man could observe and shared the first visit. I told benchmark I was disappointed they offered us 5 percent for our next booking. That’s a brazen assumption we’d book with them again. The people were nice and their responses were nice- scripted. Just lip service though. It’s a shame- place is super nice. Amazed at the cleanliness.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the beauty, cleanliness, and convenience of the home itself, as well as the front porch gathering space. However, we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with the upstairs shower leak and the way the situation was handled. Your concerns are very valid, and we regret that the necessary repairs and follow-up did not meet your expectations or our standards. Please know that we take these matters seriously and will be reviewing the maintenance process with our team to prevent this from happening in the future. We appreciate your feedback and are truly sorry that the experience affected your stay; and we thank you for highlighting both the positives and the areas where we need to improve. Regards, Benchmark Management

Definitely recommend staying here!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was super clean upon arrival and everything we hoped for and more. Perfect location to pools and the Hub/Big Chill. The only things that I would change is the bed downstairs (it has reached the end of it's life), and would be awesome if this property had a golf cart, and maybe a bigger grill. The home and it's amenities were perfect! Management was very informative and helpful if we had any questions (had to get a different pool code) but they were very attentive to any and all messages! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Wonderful stay, great location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of this house- in between the pool and The Hub. The bikes provided with the stay were great for the children to have a little freedom. The Hub is lots of fun! Lots of family entertainment, shopping and food! The beach access is a little tricky but once you figure out the best access for your group, it’s not too bad (you have to get in the car and drive for beach access).

Great family friendly get away!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was absolutely beautiful. I loved the little community it was nestled in with entertainment in walking distance. The first floor master suite was perfect for my elderly grandmother. The large kitchen and dining room had everything we needed to have family meals and save money not eating out all the time. The home was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. The game room had entertainment for the kids. The pool was awesome! Our favorite one was across the highway. Very nice place and location I would totally recommend for family gathers of 10 or so people including kids. I always love renting with Benchmark. Their customer service is excellent! Much better than dealing with Air BNB or VRBO. I intend on using them on any trip to 30A
