Great View

This place was very nice. Clean and had everything we needed. It was right on the beach in a convenient location. We enjoyed the comfortable chairs on the balcony. I would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Comfortable and felt at home

In having a big comfy recliner, this was added touch to the living room since this made my family feel like at home and the king bed was roomy. Great view in being on the 7th floor.

Highly recommend this condo

We had a great time with our son and brought him here to celebrate his 6th birthday. The bedroom had lots of space and the ability for me to set up for work quickly as needed while during our stay. The kids loved sleeping on the comfy pull out couch and slept even better than they do at home. Great view of the beach. The directions provided were extremely detailed before arrival to make sure everything went smoothly. Our family of 4 truly enjoyed the condo and it was in a great location. Highly recommend.

Unit was nice

The unit was fine but the building is really run down. After booking we realized pool was closed therefore no beach access. Also, didn’t realize the unit didn’t have a washer/dryer until week before and laundry facility for the building no longer exist. Couple decent restaurants within walking distance which we enjoyed.

The ongoing restoration is the result of hurricane damage, and as disclosed prior to booking, the pool is closed during repairs. Supposedly the listing when I booked said that the pool was out of use and all the other amenities as well, but I don’t remember ever seeing that or else I would not have never booked it.The room itself was clean and well kept, as for the property it was ok. A lot of construction going on with a lot of noise and tools and workers. Out of the blue we got a notice of the water being turned off was supposed to be from 9am to noon and didn’t come back on until after 3. Electricity kept going off and on. Found nails and broken glass in the parking lot several times, instead of them knocking on your door or sliding a note under your door for communication they would put notes on your car windshield and I absolutely do not like my car touched. It was definitely way over priced for what we got and we are absolutely unsatisfied with no resolution as course. Definitely lost money on this one and do NOT recommend anyone booking a stay here until probably next year before construction finishes. If then.

The temporary water and electrical interruptions, along with construction activities and notices placed on vehicles, are all managed by the condominium association and contractors performing the building restoration, and unfortunately are beyond our control. Pool was under construction and very noisy. 8:30am construction noise woke us up while on vacation. Also 1 roll of toilet paper. Had to buy some. Afraid to call for fear of $200 fee for toilet paper. Will not recommend this property.

Relax trip that was needed that started off rough

Checking was no problem but when entering the room to discover that it wasn’t clean was mind blowing I understand the construction working that was going on which did not know until I got there so please update information until the construction work is done like the pool and the balcony if I would have known I would have booked else and also please spray have to buy bug spray for the little tiny bugs that were in the bathroom

While Florida's climate can occasionally bring small pests indoors despite regular pest control service, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Florida Stay

Normally rent a house inland for 3-4 months but friends were not returning so we cancelled a 3.5 month house rental and opted for a month at Daytona Beach. Used VRBO for first time and was satisfied with the process. Stayed at Pirates Cove which is dated but still in fair condition. A little expensive and especially with no pool available. Been 2 years since the hurricane so Pirates Cove and others not up to normal yet although others were. Will look for alternatives next year to ensure all facilities are available.

There are still many beachfront buildings in Daytona Beach Shores just like Pirate’s Cove that do not have reopened pools yet due to matters beyond the buildings’ control.
