Great Location, good spread of layout and rooms, comfortable bedding. Kitchen well equipped, awesome screened porch, ice maker was good, good parking, out door shower, convenience very well done, no complaints.Couple comments, we are older with kids, I could not find a comfortable chair - all rigid, rentor like, park bench firm. Hearty walk to beach and boardwalk works, unless there is weather.But, exactly what we thought, and even better with the layout.Thanks,D & J

We had a terrific time despite mixed weather because of walkable access to the beach and the village, a marvelous roofed, screened deck with a fan & easy nearby places to walk our dog. Vehicles truly stop to let you cross the Coastal Highway! The house is in good shape (not immaculate but quite clean), beds are comfy & clean, linens are generous, kitchen has plenty of tableware & cooking utensils (multitude of college mugs is entertaining), & a starter set of TP, kitchen soaps & cleaners and laundry detergent is provided. Several enjoyed the outdoor shower, which when added to the 2 indoor ones, made getting a large group clean easy. The 2 wagons to transport beach stuff are most helpful, plus 2 beach chairs.We made 3 delicious meals in the kitchen each day with space for several to work & clean at once. (Restaurants are nearby but we have an infant.) We easily sat up to 11 adults to eat both inside & on the deck. Big dining table is perfect for group games plus 2 other inside tables & lots of chairs. The small den is a quiet place for readers & those needing to work on computers. Everyone's favorite place was the screened deck with plenty of seating for eating & hanging, well aerated by the fan with great views of birds eating berries & friendly neighbors walking dogs. Wildlife at the beach (dolphins, rays, birds & crabs) & along canals (birds & fish), glorious sunrises & a double rainbow added to our joy. Superb extended family vacation!

Great location, house needs improvement

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. We were thankful for the price, location and the proximity to the beach (3 blocks!). That said, the house was quite dirty when we arrived - surfaces that hadn’t been cleaned, light mold in the bathtubs, general dirt throughout the house. We enjoyed the 3 nights but probably wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer.

Fun and Easy Friends Trip

A group of seven of us had a nice stay at the property. The location was great - easy walk to the beach and to town, plenty of parking at the property. We really enjoyed the screened in porch in the mornings and evenings. The bed configuration was different than advertised - there are three queens and then two twin beds pushed together to a king. The "king" is in the primary bedroom with an en suite bath. Sheets are provided for 3 queens and a king (no twin sheets). Additionally, there are no quilts/comforters and very few blankets. The blankets were smaller than the beds (twins or fulls?). Would recommend bringing blankets.

Nice house but

The house is cozy, in a quiet cul-de-sac, and a short walk to the beach. We had an excellent time. My downgrades are because the bed types didn't match the listing (we took the wrong sheets), and the kitchen was not stocked well (no oven mitts, no dry measuring cups, only 2 of 4 measuring spoons, the largest pan was 9" (medium), and not much cookware)

Great home for Family beach week

We had a great time at this house. Great open floor plan - lots of room for gathering; We loved the screened in porch in the back - great to relax and read, and have dinner in the sea breezes. Two bedrooms downstairs ... two more upstairs. Don't be put off by being "across the highway." It's very easy to cross in crosswalk - cars stop. Home is on a very quiet street. And it's literally a 3 BLOCK walk to the beach - we did it every day with umbrella and beach bags. It's about a 5 block walk to downtown stores/Kohr Bros etc. Great house and we look forward to coming back next year!

Great house, bad management

This house was ultimately lovely. I would give the house, location, etc. a 5-star review and was the reason I did not leave a low-star overall review, for the sake of the host. We enjoyed the screened-in porch, loved having the outdoor shower, and the set up of the house was perfect for our needs. And, the walk to the beach was short and easy. However, we have had significant difficulty dealing with the management. Upon arrival, the house was not cleaned by our check-in time. We spent a couple hours of the afternoon back and forth between the house and activities hoping to be able to check-in. We were continually told the cleaning crew was on their way, but they did not show up until we had sat there at the house waiting for more than an hour (which was 2.5 hours after check-in). We were unable to get into the cleaned home until after 7pm, which was not ideal when having young children. At that point, we realized that the blankets on the bed had not been cleaned and had fresh stains on them and had to wash them ourselves. This would not have been quite as big of a deal if we were finding out at the appropriate check-in time versus so late in the evening. We were promised a refund on the cleaning fee. Ironically, on the day of our check-out, the cleaning crew arrived more than an hour early before the time we were supposed to be out of the house. It is now nearly two months after our vacation, and I am STILL trying to get the promised refund from the management company. So, while the house was great, the management of it sure has been quite the unfortunate hassle.

Good Base for Relaxing Weekend in Bethany

Overall, this property is very well located to the beach and main street, within walking distance to both and was more than able to accommodate our mid-size group (6 adults and 3 infants). The covered patio is a great plus. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood. When we arrived, the bathrooms were not properly cleaned- with articles left behind and sinks and showers still having traces of prior use. Additionally, the house needed to be aired out a bit due to a dirty trash can that was left inside the kitchen. The property management company sent a cleaner the next AM. Additionally, there was some miscommunications about the linens/towels situation. Beyond the initial cleanliness issues, we had a good time.

Lovely

We had a great stay at this lovely home! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. Able to walk to the beach, and a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown shops and restaurants.

Memorial Day trip

The location of the property was great! We ended up spending a lot of time at the house, due to the weather. There was a pretty severe ant problem in the kitchen. We tried putting out the ant bait kits that were in the house, but it was hard to keep them out with our toddler running around. The house advertised a fire pit. We had brought all of the items needed for the kids to makes s’mores on the fire, but there was no fire pit in the yard. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and overall, the house didn’t seem to have been cleaned in quite a long time. It was tidy, but lots of cob webs. If we weren’t stuck in the house pretty much all weekend, we might not have noticed all of these things.

Weekend family get away

Nice home with a great location and a 10 min walk to the beach and boardwalk. The booking process was flawless. There was a lovely outside deck which we were only able to use one night due to the cooler weather. However, the property and furnishings were older and need some updating and attention. It was okay for a short quick get away and we had a good time.

Perfect Multi-family Vacation Home

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It was clean and was big enough to spread out. We loved the screened in porch! It was also a short walk to the beach and town. The only issue we had was that out of the multiple times we tried to get in contact with the property manager we only received a response twice. No one ever answered the phone when we called. Had we needed something urgently we would’ve been left with out assistance.

Very Nice Bethany Beach Getaway

Our family needed a last minute getaway and this property was an excellent choice and flexible to accommodate our unusual date requests. The house was well equipped and perfect size for our group of two families with kids. Short walk to the beach and town. We'd stay here again and recommend to give it a look!
