Irishman Drive Retreat, free wifi.

Our place is lovely and warm with a log burner and heat pump. Sunny lounge, well fenced, drive on with plenty of park and carport.
This warm, spacious, open plan 3 bedroom home is with in walking distance to the town centre and pool. It has a large bathroom and a separate laundry. Sliding doors lead off the lounge area onto a decked area. Plenty of parking space for vehicles.
Twizel is on the Alps to Ocean cycleway route. Mount Cook National Park is only 70 kms away, perfect for a day trip. 5 minutes drive to Lake Ruataniwha, with Lake Ohau and enmore nearby. Great for fishing, waterskiing, cycling, rowing and winter skiing

Large space, well set up

The accommodation provided ample space ( we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms) with a lockable room off the garage in which we could store our ebikes which was a bonus. The section is surrounded by other houses and not very private, but it was fine for our 2 night stay

Relaxing in Twizel

The property was as described with everything we needed and more. While it wasn't cold enough to light the fire, the heatpump and little heater in the hall took the chill off (there was snow on the hills) and kept everyone very comfortable. The communication with the owner was fantastic, especially when we had to change dates due to a bereavement, Carolyn was very helpful. We would definitely book again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a good-sized, spacious property for the family.

Boys fishing trip

The property was great and offered everything we needed. The owner was the best and assisted us with an extended stay at the property when we could not get back to Christchurch due to the flooding. Will have to go back soon!

Twizel Holiday House

Fantastic house with the fire ready to light when we arrived. Straight-forward entry instructions and a lovely, clean and comfortable home. Plenty of firewood and heating appliances. A lovely stay with heaps to do. Would highly recommend.
