Nice house in an incredible location!

We had an amazing stay at the Highland house in Inverness. The house is so comfortable and the views from almost every room are spectacular. Loved watching the sun rise over the bay each morning! You will love it.

Anniversary

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, everything was so lovingly designed, cared for and clean, and the weather and views were incredible. The hosts were great and Rachel made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views! Wonderfully equipped kitchen

Beautiful, quiet, well equipped, comfortable with stunning views. Very steep driveway and challenging turn around.

Beautiful spot

Incredible scenery and views from this idyllic retreat. Close to the Point Reyes national park with beautiful beaches and lots of scenic walks . A perfect haven to escape city life for a few days. Very well equipped house, comfortable and welcoming. We will be back!

Amazing home with great views

Great space, clean and comfortable with a well-equiped kitchen. The teenagers would have liked some shades in the bedrooms as the sun woke them up early, but otherwise a perfect weekend away.

Everything was just perfect...Rachel is very friendly and helpful, the house is beautiful, and the view is breathtaking. We will definitely come back as soon as we can, we're in love with Inverness and the house :-)

Amazing property, amazing host.

This place looks every bit as good and even better than its listing pictures. This is such clean, perfectly decorated and equipped high end home that it's hard at times to remember that this is a rental. The view on Tomales Bay is breathtaking. Rachel the host is wonderfully responsive and attentive to your needs. We cannot wait to rent it again.

Serenity Now

This pristine property overlooking Tomales Bay, could not be a more perfect spot to recharge. Great space for one to two couples who enjoy cooking in this well equipped kitchen or if you prefer dining out, Saltwater is a fabulous neighborhood haunt. Pt Reyes National Park is a short drive away for hiking and some of the most exquisite beaches. Looking forward to a repeat visit.

lovely well appointed home

We joined our family in the area to enjoy Thanksgiving week. Beautiful home and setting with many windows from which to enjoy the views below. Breakfast off the kitchen deck was lovely and viewing the stars from the upper deck was awesome. The fireplace and the available wood was extra special. The 3rd bedroom with the pull out sofa is best for the young.

Incredible views willing a luxury setting

Absolutely stunning. We visit this area often and this is truly a gem in so many ways. The views and location are unparalleled. The home itself is meticulously kept and very well stocked. Amazing sheets and toiletries! Will be sure to return. Five star all the way!!!! And amazing hosts who are really on top of it all!

Thanksgiving Gratitude

A gathering of East Coast parents and West Coast young adult children for the holiday was everything we could have asked for. The home is inviting and comfortable, and outfitted with a kitchen to make a Thanksgiving meal! We thoroughly enjoyed hikes / walks in Point Reyes, local fare, outings, and the beauty of our surroundings. The views from the house are spectacular! We highly recommend this home for a family gathering and peaceful stay. Thank you Rachel and Jesse for sharing!

Views forever!

Beautiful home perched on the hill above the inlet. So peaceful. Every morning we had the pleasure of watching two turkey vultures drying their wings and sunning themselves on the branches of a old tree. We enjoyed a couple of hikes and discovered the Inverness Grocery Store. Also, a real treat for foodies is the Sun Farms Restaurant. Thank you for sharing such a special home!!!

Bliss Above the Bay

This house is an absolute fantastic get away for those wanting to explore Pt. Reyes and the Tomales Bay area. The homeowner is incredibly responsive, helpful and knowledgeable about the region. Lots of fun activities and areas to explore, especially if you enjoy hiking, the ocean and good food! The house is incredibly well appointed. Clean and has all the modern conveniences. The kitchen is a "cook's" kitchen - the home is beatifully decorated, inviting and comfortable. I would rent it again and give it FIVE stars. Enjoy your stay.

Great spot

Inverness is a great spot to unwind. The house has wonderful views from every room, deck and the yard. It sat in a great spot, as the fog would generally stop at the crest of the hill behind the house, leaving us with sunshine and views. The house is tastefully done and the kitchen well equipped. If you are considering renting it, I cannot say enough good things about it however you should know that it is really a 2.5 bedroom, since the third is really a small office or den with a pull out couch, and there is no gas grill, which is a significant minus. Also, only the master bedroom has blinds, the other two get early morning sun and make it difficult to sleep in, or so my college aged professional sleepers told me. These opportunities for improvement should not deter you from renting the house however. It really is a special place.

Beautiful home in a tranquil setting

What a pleasure to enjoy such a beautiful (and well-equipped) home. The house has stunning views across Tomales Bay and is literally at the doorstep of the Pt Reyes National Seashore. Great for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities coupled with the comfort and ease of relaxing in such a lovely home. Whether curled up on the window seat in the great room or lounging on the patio or one of the home's several decks, the place exudes tranquility.

Sweeping views in an art-filled home

Our family (two adults and a three-year-old) loved our stay at this house in Inverness. It was a great base for exploring Point Reyes and the views of Tomales Bay from all rooms were spectacular. Rachel was easy to get ahold of and responded promptly to questions. We wish we had stayed longer.

Much needed serenity

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully curated sanctuary. The host is so kind and helpful with required provisions to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The house is stunning with amazing views, quite and relaxing balconies, very clean and organized.

Beautiful Serenity

The house is wonderful, very clean, very organized and well stocked. The yard has trails and stairs to explore....the floral & fauna are beautiful. Deer regularly show up and hang out to be viewed from the decks and windows. We also saw a skunk on it's travels. The view of the bay is great and the shower / tub view is spectacular as well. Great place too stay, will be back.

Excellent house with great views

The house has awesome views, a well stocked kitchen, and a cool design. There are plenty of places to hang out on the decks and patio. And the owner is very responsive. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful home, beautiful view

The Pros: We enjoyed our stay in this home. The house is beautiful, there are spectacular views, the kitchen is very well stocked, the living room has plenty of room for hanging out together. I especially loved the window seat. There is a big dining room table that was great for having meals together and playing games. The yard is fantastic- beautiful plantings, mature trees, lots of out door areas for relaxing. The Cons: We were a little surprised to find no window coverings in 2 of the three sleeping areas which means you're up with the sun if you don't have an eye shade. One of the listed bedrooms is a pull out couch, not a standard bed. There is a loft bedroom that has no door and is open to the main room, making it difficult to sleep there if things are happening in the main area. Neutral, but worth noting: The master bathroom shower (visible in photos of the house) really is all windows- which is beautiful- but you're on full display to anyone who might be in the yard or even sitting in the window seat of the main floor. The listing mentions walking into town- You would need to be in pretty good shape for that. The distance is short but the elevation gain is substantial! You don't get those views without being high up. The road leading to the house is about as steep and windy as I have ever driven. Getting out of the driveway in a minivan was a learning curve.
