Garden Shed Camp @ Off the Beaten Trail

Beautiful views of Lunenburg, on a quiet dirt road. Short drive to Lunenburg, Hirtles Beach, Sand Dollar Beach, Ovens Park, and Sea Glass Beach. Great South Shore Location.

We started fixing up the property fall of 2020, so it's a work in progress. Always adding or improving.

This is our family camp and that's what it is a camping outdoor retreat. One main living area with kitchen. Kitchen has a small stove, mini fridge. There are 2 small bedrooms and small 1/2 bath. Private outside shower available May through October.

Beautiful area year round, come spend a few days in the winter, if you like winter camping.

** If your winter camping October through May. The camp has a 50 gallon water tank that is full when you arrive. We ask that you be conservative. Refills can be arranged, usually, unless it's to cold. Shared shower house is available as the Garden Shed only has an outside shower. Slippers are a great idea!

Please bring your, own drinking water and beach towels.

This is a camping experience, minus the hassle of packing gear.

Bucket list vaca

The garden shed was very cozy and a great place to unwind at the end of a day adventuring around Nova Scotia. Great central location, general store close by for quick pick up of items and terrific food at the cafe. The beaches are so close and you can see tons of stars.

Excellent Getaway

Had a wonderful couple of days here. Super friendly owner, vey accommodating. Wonderful weather for local day excursions. Cottage was perfect, clean and well stocked. Would definitely return.

You'll feel like family

Off The Beaten Trail is a wonderful place. Host, Katie has a big, generous heart that she shares freely. While the kitchen is well stocked with impeccable utensils, be prepared for a camping experience. The space could use a more thorough cleaning (animal hair, dust, moisture). We weren't deterred and were rewarded with smiles and laughter, the friendliest campground neighbors, and a patient host who went out of her way to get us information, kites, and a bucket and shovel for clam digging. Anyone who wants to instantly feel like family should visit Katie at her campground.

Beautiful Glamping Experience

The Garden Shed is absolutely adorable and worked perfectly as a base for our family of five as we explored the region. Katie and Devin have carefully considered the needs of their guests and have provided a well-supplied home-away-from-home. It is an easy walk to the shoreline, and within a short drive to caves (the Ovens) and waves (Hirtle's Beach). We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to spend a few days in this delightful wee home.

A beautiful and wonderful Nova Scotia Experience

There are not words enough for me to praise this lovely hidden gem of a property in Feltzen South. Katie and Devin are the heart and soul of this well maintained and obviously loved oasis. We stayed a month at the Garden Shed, a lovingly and tastefully appointed, very practical and totally liveable unit. We highly recommend that you Glamp a little on these salty, south shores of beautiful Nova Scotia. We wish them and their family all the very best that life can offer. Rod and Geraldine and Myra (Labrador extraordinaire).
