Location can’t be beat

The location of this apartment is perfect if you’re staying in Auckland without a car, as we were — it’s very easy to walk everywhere as well as to access public transportation. The downside of being right off Queen Street was that there was a lot of outside noise at night (the apartment building itself is very quiet). Because of the noise, we had to keep the windows shut and the apartment got stuffy at night — although the two fans provided by the host helped a lot. The bed was also “super-comfy” as advertised. The check out process was mildly confusing. We picked our key up at a local grocery store, but when it was time to leave we got a message saying to place our key in a lock box. A message I sent asking about the location of the lock box went unanswered. We then saw the lock boxes near the grocery store where we picked up our key, but didn’t have a code for any of them. The grocery store was also closed at the time of check out. So, we ended up going back and locking our key in the apartment, which the host seemed fine with. But we would have appreciated better communication on how to check out.

Hi Madeline, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that the apartment’s central location and proximity to public transportation worked well for your car-free stay in Auckland, and that you found the bed as comfortable as advertised! We appreciate your notes about the external noise and are glad the provided fans helped make things more comfortable at night. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion surrounding the check-out process and will ensure that clearer instructions are provided to future guests. Your input is invaluable, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again for an even smoother stay!
