Great house in a great location!

We stayed for NYE and had a wonderful time. There's plenty of space in the house and it's in a great location. Would stay here again!

Nice house but poor location

Overall, it was a good stay. It's a typical old Dubuque house, but it was nicely updated inside and very clean. I knew that it was on a busy street, but I wasn't expecting all the noise from the neighbors. I'd recommend bringing plenty of white noise since we heard not only traffic but people shouting, music, and dogs into the early morning hours.

Not a vacation home

It's in the ghetto, not somewhere anyone would want to VACATION. Loud music and vulgar commentary from the block at all hours. Someone rang our doorbell in the middle of the night. We did not feel safe here.

This is the first time we've encountered such an issue, and we understand it could have been unsettling. Field of Dreams Experience

We stayed in Dubuque while in Dyersville for the Field of Dreams experience baseball tournament. We checked in late on Friday evening and quickly realized that the neighborhood was not desirable. The check in process was quite easy and the house was nothing short of 5 star. It is an old 2 story that was very well kept and updated. We had everything we needed for our 2 day stay and were quite comfortable as the house is very homey! This would be a perfect rental if situated in a different location. With that being said we had zero issues with our stay and would highly recommend with a caution as to the location.

After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following: - We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighborhood are simply out of our control - We often stay at the property when in town, and our neighbors have been living here for quite a while, with some residing for up to 50 years. Both personally and based on the experiences of our previous guests, we have not encountered any safety issues or other concerns in this area We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
