Thank you for the 4-star review! I am so pleased to hear that you found the condo itself to be excellent and that it met your expectations for quality and cleanliness. At Dream Vacation Rentals, we strive for a "no-surprises" experience, and we truly appreciate you bringing this specific layout concern to our attention. Guest safety is our top priority, and we want every family member—no matter how small—to feel completely secure. I will personally share your feedback regarding the bunk bed positioning with the property owner and our maintenance team so we can evaluate potential solutions, such as safety netting or layout adjustments, to provide better peace of mind for future guests with young children. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would love the opportunity to welcome your family back to one of our properties for an even more relaxing and worry-free stay!

Thank you for the helpful suggestion! We wanted to share that we now include all activity recommendations, local tips, and important information in our online guest app. This allows us to keep everything updated in real time without needing to change physical pages, so guests always have the most current information during their stay. We truly appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the experience.

Thank you so much for your review

Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience at our VRBO. We're glad you love Captiva Island and enjoyed your long getaway weekend. We strive to provide all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, and we're happy to hear that you found our property well-equipped. We understand your disappointment regarding the construction outside your deck. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the property. We are making every effort to minimize disruptions to our guests while the resort is completing those upgrades. We're glad that you otherwise had a great experience and hope that you were able to enjoy the many other wonderful aspects of Captiva Island. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an even better experience.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your time on the island and that you found the rental to be nice overall. We appreciate you bringing up the toilet seats and the lack of a decent knife. We'll definitely look into replacing the toilet seats and adding a sharper knife to the kitchen for future guests. We hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future!

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are thrilled to hear that the property was perfect for your family, very clean, and had everything you needed. We're also glad you found it even more updated than the photos showed – that's always a nice surprise! We're happy the location on the property met your expectations with its proximity to the pool and easy beach access. We truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding the construction outside your lanai and understand your disappointment in not being able to fully utilize it. We also acknowledge your point about the future large pool complex and the potential issue of visibility without access for families with children. We are actively monitoring the progress of this construction and will strive to provide clearer information to future guests regarding its status and any impact on their stay. Thank you for the 5-star rating despite the construction. We are so glad that overall, the property was perfect for your family, and we hope to welcome you back in the future when the construction is complete and you can fully enjoy all the amenities.

Thank you for your review. We understand your disappointment with the condition of the grounds. We want to emphasize that we clearly state in our listing description, in bold red letters, that the property is undergoing post-hurricane reconstruction. This includes details about ongoing construction projects, such as the pool replacement you mentioned. We are diligently working to restore the property to its pre-hurricane condition, but it is an ongoing process. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these challenges. Regarding the bites you experienced, we are sorry to hear about this. It's possible they were caused by no-seeums, tiny biting insects that are common in coastal areas. These insects can cause reactions in certain individuals, and we recommend using insect repellent as a precaution. It's disheartening to receive a negative review despite our transparent disclosures about the property's condition. We are committed to providing accurate information and ensuring our guests have a comfortable stay, even as we rebuild from the impacts of multiple hurricanes. We hope that despite these challenges, you were able to enjoy some aspects of your stay.

Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback about your stay. We appreciate you highlighting the cleanliness of the property and your enjoyment of the shelling, beaches, local restaurants, and Ding Darling. We agree that Sanibel and Captiva are truly special places! We sincerely apologize that you experienced a moldy smell in the property and for the inconvenience of the last-minute notification regarding some amenities. We understand how frustrating it is to arrive and find that advertised features are unavailable. We also regret that you were not informed about the non-operational laundry room and the heated pool in advance. We strive to communicate any changes to property amenities as promptly and clearly as possible, and we clearly fell short in this instance. We do disclose all of that information on each property description and message guests prior to arrival, however, again, we'll make sure to re-double our efforts in that regard moving forward. We appreciate you acknowledging our efforts to provide extra towels and assist with the laundry service. We aim to be responsive to our guests' needs, even when unforeseen issues arise. Regarding the AC unit, we apologize for the restrictions and any discomfort this may have caused. We have to balance guest comfort with the functionality of the units, but we will review our communication regarding this policy to ensure it is clearer and more helpful in the future. We are truly sorry that these issues detracted from your overall experience. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our communication and property management practices. We hope that despite these challenges, you were still able to enjoy the beauty of Sanibel and Captiva.

Thank you for your fantastic review regarding the property itself, and for your honest feedback about our communication. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, especially the screened-in balcony and the surrounding area. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration you experienced regarding the TV operation, beach access, laundry facilities, and shuttle service. We understand that clear and comprehensive instructions are essential, especially for guests who prefer a more straightforward approach. We will absolutely take your feedback to heart and revise our guest information to be more detailed and user-friendly. We are particularly sorry for the miscommunication regarding the beach access and the conflicting information you received from the gate guards. We will address this issue with our team to ensure consistent and accurate information is provided to all guests. We also regret that you were not informed about the shuttle service and its availability for fishing trips and other excursions. Regarding the laundry facility, we apologize for the lack of clear directions and the non-working code. We will ensure that the location and access instructions are clearly communicated to future guests. We understand how important it is to have access to regular news, and we are sorry you were unable to watch it during your stay. We will clarify the need for personal streaming passwords in our instructions. We are truly grateful for your detailed feedback. It helps us identify areas where we can improve and provide a better experience for our guests. We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall, and we hope you will consider giving us another chance to show you our improved communication and service.
