If you are looking for beautiful views and quiet nights this is for you. We had family nearby that visited and Jake’s Diner for breakfast/ lunch just steps away. Fall colours were stunning. Modern clean cottage with all amenities. Very pleased with our stay

Stay in Port Loring

I was working in the area for the week and found this lovely cabin in a prime location. The place was clean on arrival, cozy, and had everything needed for an easy stay. Especially on relatively short notice!

This was our second visit to this cozy cottage with a great deck and everything needed to prepare a meal and enjoy a glass of wine. Eateries and the lake are within walking distance, easy access to docks and beach.Janet is quick to respond to inquiries, but you’ll find everything you need.

Very nicely appointed, clean and bright cottage. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Renovations were very nice. Our host was very responsive to a couple of questions that we had during our stay.Small sandy beach was only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. Perfect for a quick swim in the lake!The deck on the back of the cottage was very nice and obviously newly renovated, but we were surprised that it offered no clear view of the nearby lake.

Family time

The conveniently located cottage is cozy and well appointed. The spacious deck is a wonderful venue for family gatherings and BBQs. A short walk gets you to the dock, beach, restaurants and LCBO. We would highly recommend this property.

Our original stay was to have been for 4 nights; however, we could not possibly stay at the rental in Clearview, so I contacted Janet to inquire of her if her place was available for the same 4 nights. Janet was most gracious and helpful in making the arrangements. We drove for 4.5 hours in the dark and pouring rain to arrive at her rental. We found it to be comfortable and welcoming. In the daylight the next morning we could see that we were located in a relatively quiet, residential neighborhood. Fortunately, there’s a place for breakfast directly across the street. People we met were friendly. We stayed 8 nights at the close of their summer season, so we never saw an abundance of vacationers with boats for the nearby Lake Waquimakeg. Sitting out on the covered deck, we enjoyed the resident hummingbirds that visited the two hanging baskets on the deck. We would recommend this cabin.
