Whiteside Vista Cabin

WE HAVE FINISHED OUR RENOVATIONS AND ARE NOW OPEN FOR GUESTS. The indoor hot tub has been moved out to the lower deck with another spectacular view of Whiteside Mountain. In its place is a relaxing soaking tub in the master bathroom for your enjoyment. Both for restoring sore muscles after mountain activities! Come enjoy our cozy, secluded two bedroom cabin with spectacular view of Whiteside Mountain. Two queen beds, loft, two bathrooms, and wood stove. We have upgraded our satellite internet system with StarLink, Youtube TV, stereo system. Relax on the large deck sitting by the gas fire pit and enjoy the view of Whiteside. Listen to the Chattooga River flowing down Cashiers Sliding Rock, just a twenty minute walk or drive in three minutes. Shopping, hiking, waterfalls, recreation center and great restaurants nearby.

Such a great place! The cabin was clean, outfitted with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and the location is tremendous. Very easy to get to all the various attractions-waterfalls, hikes, shopping, dining. Yet, it was private and extremely peaceful as well! We would absolutely stay again.

We loved our stay here! The view from the house was amazing and we loved being just 10 mins from downtown cashiers. It was perfectly relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Cabin with great views

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The views are incredible as you pull up to the cabin and the checkin processes is seamless. The location was also fantastic with everything just a short drive away. Will love to come back to this cabin in the future.

Peace and quiet

We had such a nice time staying at the cabin! The views were spectacular! It is a very comfortable cabin and also very close to town and easy to find. The hosts have supplied the cabin with many extra staples which was very convenient.

Awesome couples cabin

This cabin’s is absolutely amazing for couples who want to get away from reality!! My wife and I loved the view from the bedroom as well as sitting on the porch. It was close enough, we could get to town in no time and eat and or shop. We were close to a ton of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls.

Amazing View from Sun up to Starlight

We had a lovely stay! From reservation to check out David and JoAnn were quick and easy with communication. Wifi and desk with a view worked well for remote work. Great place to start and end the days full of hiking, climbing and exploring!

Beautiful Property

Great location relative to Highlands and Cashiers. Secluded property with no immediately visible neighbors. Terrific views. Clean and well stocked property. Highly recommend!

Perfect weekend getaway

We had an amazing time together this cold weekend. We enjoyed hikes, shopping, and great dining. We also experienced some snow which was nice. The house was so beautiful and the view was unbelievable. Waking up to Whiteside mountain at the end of the bed every morning was lovely We plan on booking another weekend at the cabin next year!

Amazing time!

We absolutely loved our long weekend here. The views were beautiful, cabin was cozy, and the location was very convenient. There were plenty of hikes and waterfalls nearby and the town of Cashiers had lots of food options. The hosts left a big binder full of recommendations as well. 12/10!!!

Great Cashiers Getaway

From the moment we walked in, we could tell this home was loved! So comfortable and inviting. The best thing was the incredible view of Whiteside Mountain from the cabin. Our week was so relaxing and life-giving!

Must visit

We had such an amazing time. The property is absolutely amazing with breathtaking views. It is well appointed, very clean, and we’re greeting with a huge binder with maps, menus, and tons of ideas on how to spend our time while we were there…it was so helpful! Communication with the owners was great…they were very responsive and helpful. Loved this experience!!

The cabin was very inviting. When you first come in ,you feel comfortable.There is a lot of light in the cabin and every room has a view of the mountain.Everything you could need was there. The owners have plenty of information on every conceivable activity you can imagine.The hosts were prompt on answering any questions.We both loved the cabin , but did not see any bears,!

Whiteside Mt View

Our hosts were so kind, and made our stay so much more enjoyable by their thoughtfulness. The setting is spectacular! The cabin has beautiful hardwood floors and everything for a short or longer stay. The location is convenient to Cashiers. The screened porch was the star with jaw-dropping views! We are David and JoAnn Cox. We are semi -retired and split our time between Tallahassee, Florida and here in Cashiers NC. JoAnn continues to consult with school systems around the country and David, after retiring from the regional food bank in Tallahassee, works with other food banks as needed in operations. We enjoy spending time with our two children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren. We love to play pickleball, hike, white water raft, dance, practice yoga, workout and spend time with family. Sharing our little slice of the mountains with guests has been most gratifying. We hope they will have a memorable and relaxing stay in Cashiers.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

This property was obtained by David's parents in the late 60s. David and JoAnn put their first little cabin on their piece of property in 2010 and added a renovation to it in 2016. JoAnn has added her touch to the home and it remains a quiet, secluded cabin in the woods , but is still only minutes from shopping, entertainment, hikes, waterfalls, and dining in Cashiers and Highlands. Our cabin is only about an hour to Asheville if you desire more action and options.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The obvious answer is Whiteside Mountain. The big rocks dominate the western view from everywhere on the property. Whiteside has a personality; it is constantly changing and mesmerizing at times. We have a very large outside deck for coffee/adult beverages by the gas firepit, barbeques, dancing, and star gazing. There is also an outdoor firepit for making smores and quiet conversations. We leave bird feeder for our bird lover guests and try our best to provide you with the comforts of home. You can wake up in the master bedroom and Whiteside is right there saying, Good Morning! We feel our home has all the amenities you are looking for with still being a peaceful cabin in the woods.
