Jersey shore living at its simplest - 5 bedroom upside down house, 2.5 Baths, sleeps 8 - comfortable living area - dining area and kitchen - ocean breezes abound - relax and enjoy the slower pace of beach life- outside shower and casual dining on the second floor deck - gas grill and new deck furniture.This lovely South Jersey rental sleeps 8 and offers 2.5 baths - a laundry room and complete kitchen - all furnishings have been updated in the last five years - quiet south end of Stone Harbor and located three houses from the beach that allows rafts and boogie boards - basketball hoop in backyard for the kids or the adults to enjoy! Town is accessible by foot (21 blocks) or bring your own bike or roller blades- great restaurants - movie theatre and lovely gift shops - public golf courses are off island for the golf enthusiasts-and zoo as well- many water activities available - rent jet skis - go para sailing - rent surf boards- or kayaks - something for everyone !!!!! There are outlets only a 30 minute drive away for the shoppers and assorted winery tours within a 30 minute drive as well.

Please note that for this property cleaning is required but not included. A recommendation will be provided. Rates and availability will be determined in March of a given calendar year. Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.

Fabulous week

This was our second time staying in this home. Mary is excellent with communication and she checked in with us several times to make sure everything was ok. The home had everything we needed to enjoy a week in Stone Harbor. My family especially loves the close access to the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location!

Stayed at this property to attend a wedding in Stone Harbor and it was perfect for our group! So close to the beach, plenty of room for everyone, great outdoor space, and easy parking. Mary is a kind and accommodating host who made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay! Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Great location and views of the beach!

Very cute and quaint house that has everything you need. The location is awesome with an easy walk to the life guarded beach and the softest sand. The deck was lovely to sit and hear the ocean and watch the waves. Mary, the owner, is very nice too. Great house, we hope to come back!

Excellent Location! Bigger Than Expected!

My family and I rented this house for a wedding that we were attending in Stone Harbor. First, it was so convenient that we could rent for 4 nights versus a full week. That is very difficult to find!!! The location of this house is perfect! It is in the quiet section of Stone Harbor and just two houses back from the beach!! The beach at 117th Street is very large and not crowded at all! The house itself looks tiny from the outside but is much bigger inside. The main master bedroom was huge . The other four bedrooms, while not large, were more than accommodating. Three of the five bedrooms have AC. On a humid day, it did get a bit stuffy in the house but the breeze from the ocean was more than enough to cool off the rooms. Every room does have some sort of fan so that definitely helps! The bathrooms, while in need of some updating, were big enough to share. There is also a half bath on the bottom floor which is most helpful when coming in off the beach so you do not track sand all over the upstairs. The kitchen is small but well stocked with kitchen equipment and is open to the family dining area and great room. The great room was much larger than it looks in the pictures and sat our families most comfortably. The best part of the house is the huge wrap around deck with ocean views!! There is alot of seating out on the deck and we spent a considerable amount of time out there. It is a great place for morning coffee and an evening cocktail!! There are not many food markets or restaurants in this area of Stone Harbor but the downtown is just a short 5 minute drive away. Mary, the owner, is very responsive via email and the house was clean and neat when we arrived! I would definitely recommend this house for family vacations!

Quiet, peaceful location

Location is perfect for those seeking a quiet neighbor and easy (and I mean easy) beach access. Simple 1 minute walk to the beach and another 4 minutes to dip your toe into the crashing waves. The house is nestled in a very safe and affluent part of Stone Harbor. Although the house itself was a bit dated, it had everything we needed. My 75 year old mother even said, "I'd live here!"

Wonderful Stay

We had 5 adults and two boys 7 and 9. This location was great being 3 houses from the beach. Outside clean up area and shower were very convenient. Inside was also user friendly. The only drawback is the kitchen is small although equipped with everything. Outside deck was delightful. We would come here again.

June Family Beach Weekend

Everything was as advertised - no surprises! We loved having the outdoor shower space and the kids (all adults now) enjoyed the basketball hoop. This part of the beach is also not as crowded as the beach closer to town. Great having that extra space to enjoy the ocean!

Great house, great location, and great host

The house was all we could have asked for, with ample space to hang out and places for guests to sleep. The best part is its proximity to the beach — just a one-minute walk!

Great SH house, awesome location!

Loved this house in SH. Just a few doors from the beach. Very roomy, nice layout and a kitchen great for cooking. Mary was very helpful. Great ocean view from the deck!

Amazing View and Location

Phenomenal location. Our family truly enjoyed being the third house from the beach. Great ocean view from the living area and the deck. It was a pleasure to meet Mary, a great attentive host. Check-in was efficient and the house was sparkling clean. Ample parking, great outdoor shower and grill! Would love to stay here again.

Great location!

Our group loved our stay here! It is truly right beside the beach which made for an easy walk to the beach and also a beautiful view from the patio. The house is also situated a short drive from the town which is full of great restaurants, bars and a farmers market. The home it self is open and great for larger groups and has an outdoor shower which is so convenient coming off the beach. Overall makes for the perfect beach getaway!

Great long weekend

My friends and I stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. House was great and Mary was a awesome host. My friends and I have discussed wanting to rent the house in the future. Highly recommend.

Excellent property and great location!

This was our 2nd stay at this house and it didn’t disappoint yet again! The location is excellent! You are a few minutes from downtown Stone Harbor and seconds to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and the kids had a wonderful time.

Nice stay!

The property was lovely and had a great view of the ocean. We all enjoyed time spent on the deck. It was also nice that there was air-conditioning because it was a particular hot weekend!

We had a great family reunion at Mary’s beach house. Everything you needed ! Ocean view deck great for morning coffee and dinner too. Kitchen fully stocked for cooking. Beach literally steps away😎😎

Great Location!

The house is nice and in a great location! Mary, the owner answered my many questions and was very accommodating. She was flexible with the days (Thursday to Monday), unlike the majority of the other properties listed. An appliance wasn't working and she immediately had it replaced. There was plenty of space for all of my guests. The only hiccup during the visit were the two bedrooms without AC (which we knew about in advance)- everyone wanted AC. There is a view of the water from the deck, which was great for those that didn't want to be in the sand. All in all great visit!

Clean, close to the Beach, bright and cheerful!

Great house!

Location is perfect. Bright and sunny kitchen and living room, spacious deck with great ocean views--and the essential beach-house outdoor shower! Looking forward to coming back next summer.

Wonderful weekend at the beach

Location: Perfect for us, as our priority was to be as close to the beach as possible. It doesn't get much closer than this! There was just one house between us and the beach. Paradise. It's a residential neighborhood and there were no lunch restaurants nearby so we had to go into town (5 min drive) to get any prepared food, but we were more than happy to do this because we wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else! Space: The photos of this place do not do it justice! Its main living space on the second floor is wonderful, including a smallish but open kitchen, a dining area with a dining table, and a living space with comfortable couches and a TV. We enjoyed playing card games in the living area and drinking beverages and chatting on the gorgeous patio that wraps around the whole living space with gorgeous ocean views. The patio is larger than the photo makes it look and it was all we ever wanted! The bedrooms were large enough and the beds were comfortable, but all we did in them was sleep as the rest of the house and the beach/town nearby were where we wanted to be! We could not figure out how to get all of the AC units in the bedrooms to work. It wasn't too much of a problem though as each room also had a fan. I did not ask Mary for help on this, though if I had I'm sure she would have been very responsive. While we were in Stone Harbor we enjoyed the beach, and spent a day on a winery tour. These were an easy 20 minute drive away (and we hired a driver to take us). We also enjoyed dinner and dancing at the Windrift hotel, which was just a 5 minute cab ride away. My only comment other than raves would be that certain areas in the house had more personal clutter around than I had expected. I understand that this is Mary's home that her family enjoys. My family has a beach vacation home ourselves that we rent out, and I know how difficult it can be to share your special family place with strangers and to get it all ready. I appreciated Mary's making enough space for us in the cupboards and refrigerator. This house is not like being in a hotel or a rental that has no personal items, but we were not bothered by it. Something I very much appreciated about this rental was there was no 1-week minimum that many large rentals in the area require. Perfect for a long weekend. Overall, I highly recommend this property for your family/group vacation.
