This stunning 5 bedroom, 5 ½ bath beach house sleeps 14 with two kings, two queens, and two twin/full bunks. Unique amenities are unending in this Gulf front home located in the quiet, gated community of Old Florida Beach. Surrounded in the luxury of custom wood, glass, marble, and lighting, you'll feel as though you're in beach heaven. The open living area includes an entertainment den with 50"TV with Blue Ray DVD player and HD box, and 30 foot windows to take in the breathtaking views of the Gulf. From the porches off the main living room and two master suites with adjoining master baths on the top floor, the gorgeous views will mesmerize.

After a day on the beach, guests can enjoy evenings of entertainment and relaxation with the selection of great DVD’s, books, and games for the entire family. Premium decor is found throughout this spectacular home with 4,000 sq. ft. of living area. Barefootin’ offers high speed internet available for all guests.

Perfect location

This was our favorite house/location/beach that we have ever visited. We’ve been coming to the panhandle for over 30 years! Everything about it was perfect for us. ❤️❤️

Family vacation

We enjoyed the home. Layout was ideal. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. View was great from second floor balcony. We love the neighborhood feel. Safe and secure.

Great house

We had 6 adults and 6 kids and loved the house. Great sleeping space and common area. Access to the beech was simple and the lake in front of the house was a huge bonus as a place for kids to play and a natural barrier for the crowds. We would go back for sure.

A castle on the sand dunes

We enjoyed our week in this spectacular 3 level beach home. The photos in the listing barely do this home justice. It was perfect for our 3 generations to spend time together while also allowing plenty of personal space. It was well maintained and spotless. Owner and manager were available for questions. So much to see and do in the Destin-Seaside area, but the Gulf of Mexico and the sugar-white sand dunes are the stars of the show.!

We Cried When We Left! 😭

The property was FABULOUS! We had 8 kids and 4 adults with plenty of room. The beach is basically your private beach directly in front of the house with easy access. The views were amazing, the neighborhood adorable, and in a prime crab-hunting location. The house was clean and decorated very nicely! If we HAD to change one thing it would be for the house to have a blender; we used a food processor for piña coladas which was messy. That complaint is a stretch though and was overshadowed by all the positives!

THE BEST ON THE BEACH

I am a year late in writing my review, but needless to say the house is so wonderful we are returning for a second stay! I cannot say enough about this magnificent house. It was incredibly clean upon arrival, enough towels in every bathroom so that we didn't feel like we needed to do laundry all the time, a HUGE pantry so that food didn't need to sit on the counter, and a wine fridge!!! The kitchen and dining area is perfect for our "love to cook" family. We have been going to the beach as a family since I was a child and as the family has grown, Barefootin provides enough space for us to spread-out. The beach is magnificent and the boardwalk down provides easy access. Shopping is near, although the house is so great, we rarely left! There is a community pool which was great for the younger kids before the beach time, also great for the one day of rain. Bottom line: this is the best place on the beach!!!

Barefootin experience

We were surprised at and loved the home and location, my father said he was even more pleased than the photos depicted. The home was lovely, and despite all the ongoing construction in the neighborhood, location was fabulous. Ocean Reef management was quick to respond to almost all questions, and made check in and check out easy. I would suggest being in the real estate/rental world in my business, that instead of clearing home of every last necessary item like laundry detergent, or spices, or even salt and pepper or coffee, that they provide or allow items purchased by others to remain. It would be such a nice touch to provide the basics . Also, couldn't use the Roku on TV as it required a pin that management did not have. The beach and the ocean were just perfect, and even the thunderstorms one day were an experience! We loved our visit and will plan on returning to this home, with more family in tow!

Nice property but for the price point it needs some attention.

Nice property and we had a lovely family vacation. However, for the rental price the kitchen cookware needs to be updated. They were well used and for a few hundred dollars u could replace the older cookware. The grill is in the driveway and u have to walk around the entire house to use it. Installing a staircase from the back deck would be a nice addition. When we arrived the house was not clean for the price point we are renting. Trash left in plain view, dirty sinks table tops, refrigerator and floors. There were also no keys so we had to call the agency who brought out only one set of keys. So the inconvenience was that someone had to use the lockbox key since we only had one set of keys. The downstairs main living area is where we spent most of our time while at the house. The community heated pool was a blessing given the temperature did not reach 65 while we were there. Enjoyed the gated community as that limited traffic around us and on the beach.

Great Location... Beautifully Decorated

Our extended family (from 3 states + Canada) booked Bare Footin' for a family gathering. We really enjoyed our stay! Clean property, beautiful decor, and lots of little seating areas throughout the home to gather as a group or steal away to a quite spot & read. And wow... the view from the deck was amazing! Stunning really. There were a handful of items that needed to be repaired / sorted out upon our arrival (broken toilet seat, broken closet door handle, missing lid for coffee pot, and missing blender). We reported everything right away and thankfully they sent someone out to fix everything within 24 hours (super-nice fix-it guy btw : ). We understand that things get broken & appreciated the management company's timely response. Thank you for that! Yes, we would rent this house again... but we'd take a hard pass on the 'free' family photo session Ocean Reef Resorts offers. Sadly... our session was 'cancelled due to weather' even though the skies cleared up 2.5 hours before our appointment time. Typical Florida weather, right? If you don't like the weather... just wait 10 minutes : ) By our reckoning... this version of a 'free' photographer was actually quite costly. Fortunately (after hearing our sob story) Kyler & Kait Photography (locals in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl) fit us into their busy schedule. I highly recommend them! And, for the record, they took our photos on the same day the 'free photographer' said he couldn't... due to weather.

Perfect location

Whimsical happy beach decorating (not the boring tans and greys), private gated community that kids could ride bikes and skate board. Access to lake and miles of biking. Amazing restaurants and shops in walking distance. Bike rentals at the end of the main street. Well organized kitchen for the OCD in most moms. Absolutely perfect ocean views and close easy access to the private beach. I have rented a lot of beach homes and this is perfect in my mind for the price. Only recommendation would be to update master bath and mattress, but it is usually the most used room in a rental. There are many other well appointed rooms to choose from. Thank you for a great vacation home and experience.

Great house for our family

Barefootin was exactly what we have been looking for on 30 A. The views cannot be beat and with the community pool, easy access to the ocean, and the estuary, every “beach” need of our family was met. The house was great. This house has 5 bedrooms and 5 baths which is a high priority with our family. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen, and the floor plan was great for families. We have already signed up for 2019!

We loved it!!

This as our 14th summer at Old Florida Beach, our first in "Barefootin". The setting for the house is very secluded on the bluff overlooking the beach, giving great views. Not remarkable from the road, the house unfolds spectacularly as you enter and go up the first set of stairs to the maim floor. So well thought out in design - useful, quiet, lots of public space and private space. Beautifully appointed and serene in atmosphere. It served as a more than adequate gathering spot for our whole group which was housed in two separate rentals. We loved it.

Beautiful house and great beach location

Our four-generation family had a wonderful beach vacation at Barefootin'! The house was large enough for all of us to be together, yet there were plenty of quiet spaces for alone time. The two large verandas had plenty of seating and gorgeous beach views! The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped for all of our needs. We loved the location in quiet Old Florida Beach and the walk down to the beach was quick and easy, even for the little ones. We will be back!

Superb!

A beautifully appointed home. Very comfortable. Well organized, especially in the kitchen. Reasonably close to the beach.(I understand the idea behind the community boardwalks and stairs. One is much better able to preserve the dunes.) We have a grandson devoted to fishing so he had a lot of fun at the lake just around the curve from the house. We wish the view of the beach from the main pourch were better; it is pretty much blocked by vegetation. But, all in all we had a spectacular time even weathering a passing hurricane!

excellent from every aspect

Absolutely incredible views. You'll keep drinking coffee in the morning as an excuse to stay on the deck and take it all in. House is spectacular. We had 4 adults and 4 children and never felt cramped. Three levels made it easy to find quiet space. Being on the beach was a major convenience for the back and forth trips. Convenient to great restaurants and Publix. We look forward to going back.
