Charming cottage with screened porch and patio .3 miles to Haigis beach. Vaulted ceiling and skylight in living room. Home includes flat screen TV, WiFi, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer and O/S shower. Window ac in each bedroom! Gas grill, picnic table and lawn chairs are also provided. The back yard is shared with small cottages. PLEASE NOTE: This home has a shower only, no tub.

Great time

Great time has by all. Central location. Loved the outdoor shower. Kids said, they wished the twin beds were softer. All around an excellent experience.

Thank you very much for your response. We will forward these comments on to the owner. If you stay with us in the future and items like a toaster, are missing, please give us a call. Each home should have a toaster and/or toaster oven. We would have brought one over. We hope to host you again next year.

Only slight complaint was some uncomfortable wicker chairs in the living room and an extremely narrow shower indoors. Nothing observed would make me hesitant to recommend this property to any interested renter.

The hot water ran out very fast, so we had to shower in shifts. There was no AC in the living area (which it did state) however, it was extremely hot and it is inexpensive to add an extra unit for a house that size. The bunk bed, if you have smaller children does not have a rail on it, so we had to put it on the floor. It also didn't have a toaster. Other than those things it was a cute home.

Token rental property

I ran out of gas for the grill after one use. I was in the outdoor shower and while rinsing my hair, the wind hit just right and the door was wide open. $1 to buy a hook and latch lock is all it would cost. Both times I cooked with the front burner it went a little haywire. One half of bacon cooked fine then the burner went to a higher temperature without me turning the burner up. I had no control of the temperature on that burner but the pan was so hot the bacon continued cooking after the burner was turned off. It is advertised with window air conditioners but there is not a window air conditioner for the main part of the house. For the weekly price you charge, the least you can do is take some of the profit and buy another AC. We did enjoy the Dennis beaches and the location was wonderful. After walking around the house barefoot for most of the day, I went to get a pedicure and the bottom of my feet were filthy. The floor could not have been washed prior to our arrival. The tv in the bedroom did not turn on and the directions to locate the garbage dumpster are laughable. It is down a street after the first 2 rental properties not at the corner of a driveway. The size of the rental property was great for what I was looking for with 2 younger boys and had everything we needed, it just would have been nice to know it was lovingly cared for. Hi Denise! We wish you would have given us a call. We have plenty of propane here at the office, and could have addressed the outdoor shower and stove (the owners will be looking at this after the current guests check out). The homes are professionally cleaned before and after your stay, so anytime you feel the home needs some items addressed, please let us know. We can send someone right over! We do advertise that the home has AC's in each bedroom (none in the living room), but if had you called, we could have brought over a fan. Our agency is less than 1/2 mile away, and we are here to address any concerns you have! We hope to see you again next year!

Carefree getaway

Had a great week at this cottage. Close to some great spots for dinner, drinks, and ice cream. Local beaches within walking distance and a short drive. Cute little backyard area for grilling and evening activities. Perfect for our last minute vacation.

perfect cottage, but VRBO is not what it used to be

My family loved everything about this place but I hated the crazy fees! I was under the impression VRBO was a "vacation rental by owner" (you know, hence the name), but everything was handled by a realtor. The realtor was kind and efficient, but not something I needed, so why was I paying all of these fees on a website that presents itself as a mediator between renter and owner? In the past we used VRBO and the cleaning fee was included in the cost. Now there's a "service fee", an "administrative fee", and the new crazy vacation tax. So no, your weeks stay no longer costs what it tells you on the website, it was 40% over the price listed. So sorry town of Dennis, I could not buy a beach sticker, and sorry local restaurants I did not even order take out. The whole vacation budget went to the rental. The house was perfect for us, but unfortunately those new fees were a turn off. I think the costs need to be just included up front on the website.

Hi Elizabeth, Problem is, VRBO doesn't come over to get you inside the home if you lock yourself out, but WE do! And yes, pricing is higher on VRBO, as those service fees are going to them, not us! We hope to see you again next year!
