Tranquil Beachfront Villa with Breathtaking Ocean Views, Sunsets & Infinity Pool

Casa Cattanach is one of 24 Villas within the 2 acre gated community of Villas Playa Blanca located on the Pacific Ocean of Mexico. Located an easy 10 minutes south from the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport on 14 km of Playa Blanca's unspoiled white sandy beach. The Villas are situated in a horseshoe shape around a very large infinity pool and the property spans a wide stretch of beachfront. Casa Cattanach (Villa 21) is in a prime location on the property, literally 50 steps from the beach and 15 steps from the pool. Each Villa comes with one parking stall right outside the Villa. The caretaker and his family live on site and the complex has 24 hour security.

The Villa has 2 bedrooms, available for use, each with unobstructed ocean views where you will fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves every night. The bedrooms are both upstairs, have comfortable King Sized beds and full ensuite bathrooms with showers. The Master Bedroom (upstairs) also a palapa covered terrace. Located on the main floor is a fully appointed, newly renovated, spacious kitchen, all ready for cooking delicious Mexican meals, a dining area, a 3 piece bathroom and a very cozy living room with a wrap around couch. There is a television and DVD player in the living area. Wi-Fi is located throughout the main floor of the Villa. Also located on the main floor is a very large palapa covered terrace with a beautiful live edge parota wood dining table where you'll enjoy your meals, a hammock for afternoon siestas and a patio furniture set for more relaxing and socializing.

Take a stroll down the beach and enjoy one of the many beachfront restaurants. Being part of a fishing community, seafood is definitely their specialty, however you will find other options on the menu. A short walk down the road will bring you to Fanny's Tienda, a very well stocked store that provides almost all your grocery needs. And there is also a fresh fruit and vegetable truck that visits our community usually 3 times/week with a large assortment of fresh produce.

We are located 4.5 km (3 miles) north of the small Mexican village of La Barra de Potosi with numerous Enramadas (family run beach restaurants) and small grocery stores. Enjoy a delicious seafood meal, a plate of guacamole and a cerveza while sinking your toes into the sand. It’s a great place to hang out for an afternoon. La Barra not only faces out to the ocean, but is also backs onto the mouth of a 19 mile long lagoon where you can go kayaking, standup paddle boarding, surfing, bird watching or take an Eco Tour. It is a birder’s paradise.

In La Barra you can also easily hire a local fisherman to take you on a fishing excursion, snorkelling or perhaps to just take a trip out to Los Morros, a grouping of rocks located off the shores of Playa Blanca and home to many birds. Our bay is also home to migrating Humpback Whales and dolphins, so keep your eyes open.

We are located only a 20 minutes drive or taxi ride to Zihua or 25 minutes to Ixtapa which will give you many more dining, entertainment and shopping opportunities.
