We had a fantastic stay at Bay Rum Breeze! The pictures are exactly how the villa looks in person; beautiful, clean, and well-kept. The constant breeze made it so comfortable, and the outdoor showers were absolutely amazing! The property management company was very thorough, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. The location is also perfect offering prime access to the gorgeous North Shore beaches, and just a 20-minute ride into Cruz Bay for dining and shopping. We would definitely recommend this villa and look forward to coming back! It was perfect for our family of 6, but could easily accommodate 8.

The swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous with iridescent glass tiles. The photos just donā€™t do this gorgeous location justice. You feel right at home upon arrival. 5 donkeys slept in the driveway on Christmas night, which was a huge treat for us, the donkeys are so calm & they roam the island constantly, never staying in 1 place. Unbelievably, you can see both sides of the island from this peakā€¦the north islands from the frozen driveway & south islands/BVI from the pool deck. The location is bursting with wildlife. The beds are comfy. The bedspreads & sheets were very high thread-count 100% cotton. The mgmt company met us at our Cruz Bay car rental & we followed them to the Villa, as we would have never found this villa at night bc we had zero T-Mobile cell service on that side of the island. Apple Maps worked so-so on the east side of island before we learned our way around. The pool deck/patio are unbelievably large & luxurious. The gas grill was easy to use. Check-out responsibility was simply to take out the garbage & start the dishwasher, leave the fans on, which we mistakenly left the fans off. Elian with mgmt co was wonderful. The driving on St John isnā€™t for the faint of heart. It should be noted that there are 4 king beds, not twin beds in 1 of the bedrooms, as pictured in the listing that we saw. We will miss this place with all of our hearts.

Stunning views and lots of space

The exterior space is extraordinary. Room for meals as well as for lounging near the pool. Plenty of sun and shade. Interior has room for group gatherings. Bedrooms offer lots of privacy.

Views for days

Stunning views that make the rough driveway worth it. The house was very clean with all amenities with the exception of jets in the hot tub not working and not a true infinity pool. Would stay there again.

Nice stay at Bay Rum Breeze!

Beautiful views from this property. House is in great condition, and easily held our group of six. The house is close to Coral Bay, also convenient to the north shore beaches, particularly Maho. Two things to note - 1) the final stretch of road / driveway is quite bumpy / rugged (wouldnā€™t recommend in low car), and 2) make sure to ask for directions as google maps sends you to an abandoned road. Would definitely stay here again.

Great trip!

Great place for our family- it is a rough driveway as noted - but we had a jeep as recommended and this was no problem at all!!! We loved seeing the neighborhood goats, donkeys and roosters!!! once on top of driveway at the house the views and breeze were fantastic!!! Great pool. Everything was awesome. Great check in - we had a lovely greeting gift of fresh salads -) relaxed environment we loved our trip!!!

We have good things to say about this villa, but the host, Miller Properties, did not impress us A water leak flooded the house, and response from management was disappointing.

Spectacular views

Loved the views so amazing! The house had everything we needed (cooler and beach chairs/towels were great to have!) and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Property manager was very responsive. We loved it! The road is bumpy and steep to get to it so make sure you have a good 4x4 and you will be fine. Frog symphony and hot tub at night were such added bonuses- and the stargazing!!

Beautiful View

Overall it was beautiful, however I am really disappointed that they did not disclose the known issue of water flooding the kitchen floor after it rains. I felt like we spent a good deal of our vacation dealing with that when we should have been enjoying St. John. I am impressed though by the discount that we were given due to this issue. Driveway is a nightmare, but it became funny by the end. The glass block wall in the outdoor showers need to be higher to block the wind. I would stay there again.

Paradise on the mountain with views of Coral Bay. Bay Rum Breeze is an absolutely gorgeous home. What I wouldnā€™t give to have a family room wall to slide open and enjoy ocean breezes! Check in process was flawless. Beach towels provided, beach chairs provided, cooler provided (freezer filled with reusable ice packs); all made beach days so much easier. Very few miner ā€œhouseā€ issues. Dining chairs were loose at joints, one stove burner didnā€™t light, dryer vent needed cleaning, dishwasher bottom rack was wonky. All these issues are typical home issues that were reported and some of them were addressed the same day! All in all a fabulous week with family and would highly recommend this home. Oh, and the frogs and lizards were awfully cute too.

Spectacular villa with amazing views

This was my husbands and my 3rd visit to STJ and Bay Rum Breeze did not disappoint. We were a party of 7 and the villa was well appointed to meet all our needs. The pool was perfect and the drive to Maho and Trunk was so close by. We started our week celebrating our 25th anniversary by renewing our vows on Trunk Bay. Spent one day on a boat exploring BVI, but was always excited to get back to the villa for pool and hot tub relaxation in the evenings. Canā€™t wait to go back again. This villa will be at the top of our list.

Beautiful property!

We stayed here for a family vacation with our adult kids. There was plenty of room to spread out. The view from the back veranda and pool area was absolutely gorgeous - looked like something out of a movie. The house was clean and comfortable. It would have been helpful to have a broom and dustpan handy to sweep the kitchen area during the week and the kitchen cabinets smelled rather musty. Property manager was great to communicate with. If we visited St. John again we would definitely consider the same home.

Great views and comfortable stay

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home with spectacular views. The house exceeded our expectations, with tastefully decorated rooms that were spacious and filled with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The covered deck and pool areas provided sweeping views of the Bay and was a nice gathering point for our small group. The location of the house was a bit remote, but we still had easy access to local shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation stay. The views alone are worth the price, and the house itself is top-notch. I would definitely stay there again and look forward to the opportunity to do so.

Bay Rum Breeze = Bay Rum PERFECT!

3rd time staying at BRB. Views are tremendous. Close to Maho and Francis Beaches (our favorites). And Coral Bay is a mere 8 minute drive down the hill, away from the maddening crowd of Cruz Bay. The house works well for a romantic stay for a couple, or can comfortably host three couples (each with private bathrooms). When small issues arose (as they inevitably might), the management company was responsive and uber-polite. All in all, a tremendous experience, and a good value.

Beautiful Villa, Centrally located on STJ

We had a great stay at Bay Rum Breeze. The villa is beautiful, views are spectacular, and the layout was perfect for us. Two bedrooms in the main house (one room upstairs for us and one room downstairs for our two kids - the two bedrooms separated by interior stairs) and then a third bedroom in a separate structure (for another couple). The house was well stocked with kitchen items, towels, beach towels, etc. Ellen was a pleasure to work with and the location of the villa is very centrally located on the island - close to north shore beaches and not too far from coral bay. We definitely plan to come back!

Beautiful island, amazing fully equipped home, breathtaking views, one of the best!

We loved Bay Rum Breeze from the second we entered. There is a cool breeze that greets you as you look at the amazing views. With a more than fully equipped kitchen, amazing sound system, showers that allow you to look at other islands as you shampoo, your daily thought: is this place for real? Nyesha from Viva was great as well. My favorite night on the island was just grilling outdoors at Bay Rum Breeze, listening to music, and relaxing with my family. You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful Bay Rum Breeze Villa!

Wonderful Villa & location with incredible views! Pool, hot tub & patio area amazing! Washer & dryer, beach chairs & cooler a definite bonus. We left our pool floats, some sunscreen & 2 snorkel sets to pass along for others. Excellent response & communication with property manager & JP. Only complaint is the floors could use a good scrubbing & per our friends feedback, the room with twin beds were sagging & uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was a 5 ā­ļø!

Family Vacation in Paradise

This was our first visit to St John, our first visit to any location out of the continental 48 for that matter, so the excellent communication about our arrival to the island, meeting JP at the car ferry dock to follow him to the house and show us what we needed to know was above and beyond what we expected. This high level of customer service set the tone for the week and we were more than impressed before we even began our stay. We absolutely loved the property, the view, the quiet location on the island and how easy it was to get to the beaches, ruins and restaurants. The kids (ages 16 & 12) loved their rooms, views, the pool, hot tub, snorkeling at the beaches and playing "St Johnopoly" (from the game cabinet) as well. We all had such a great vacation on a paradise island. We had such an incredible time that we have already talked about making plans to return. Thank you for such a great experience!

Family vacation with adult kids

The layout of the house was great for our group, the views were spectacular. The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated being escorted to the house upon arrival. The bedroom a/c units worked really well. Cleanliness could have been better, the house is a bit tired, and really needs a deep cleaning. Rugs in bathrooms were either dirty or stained, hard to tell. The fountain on the pool is in need of paint, really detracts from the appearance of the pool area. The location was difficult, although it was great once we got there, the road up to the house was in really bad repair, and was difficult to maneuver. each day required a lot of driving to get to beaches. We did have a good time, but must admit that the condition of the house was a bit disappointing, given the pictures and the price point.

Perfect!

This was our fourth trip to St. John, but the first traveling with others. To celebrate our 25th Anniversary we brought along old friends and our son and his fiancee. Bay Rum Breeze was perfect for our group of 6. Plenty of room for all and spectacular views no matter where you are in the villa! So many places to relax and enjoy either the views or the cool breezes - the covered veranda, pool, hot tub, star gazing deck or the sunrise as you wake up in the morning. The villa had everything we needed, and the furniture and beds throughout were extremely comfortable (this hasn't always been the case at other places we've stayed). The location on Mamey Peak is perfect, close to North Shore beaches and both Coral Bay and Cruz Bay. Also, the landscaping around the villa is wonderful. The owner - Ellen was excellent to work with! She was always very helpful and responsive to any of our questions. We would not hesitate to rent this awesome home again and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great vacation on St. John!

Astonishingly beautiful!

My family loved everything about this place. I had purposely hidden the online photos I saw of it before we got there, so their surprise at every detail when we got there would be bigger. But even I was surprised -- the gorgeous and accurate online photos still don't capture the feeling of being there. The property is fresh and clean and solid, and every bit of it is well-planned-out. We loved the shady veranda for our coffee and lazy afternoons; we loved shuttling back and forth between the pool and the hot tub; and I even enjoyed cooking simple dinners in the well-stocked kitchen with amazing views of the BVI. My sand-averse husband may be the first person ever to visit St. John without setting foot on the beach, but he absolutely adored reading his kindle on the veranda -- the most relaxed I've seen him in years. The rest of us sampled the delights of the North Shore beaches and Salt Pond beach, and had one afternoon doing the tourist thing in Cruz Bay. We spent one day on a sailboat (Long Distance out of Coral Bay, highly recommended), learning to snorkel and enjoying the water. We ate at Miss Lucy's a couple nights: delicious food and incredible beachside ambiance. There are plenty of things left for us to do on St. John, but this was the right balance of activity and laziness for us. We got all the help we could have asked for from the hospitable owner before we got there, and even got a phone call from her while we were there. She was great.
