Can't beat the location!

We had an amazing time at this property! Having the ocean a few feet from your window was so convenient going back and forth from the beach. Perfect for families or anyone wanting to have a beach vacation and not spend a chunk of time hauling stuff back and forth. The property worked well with our family of 5. Will book again!

Great Place

This location was terrific. Beach was so close! The only draw back was no where to put the kids clothes in the loft. They just had to use out of their suitcase. Which as you know with kids is a pain! Overall great stay!!

Great location, needs fixes, pricey

Host does not communicate through Vrbo. Had to call at 830 at night to find out how to check-in. Broken toilet seat, no outdoor lights or outdoor shower. Need broom and vacuum for sand. Hot water heater could not keep up for 6 of us. Was great beach location.

Cannot beat the location!

It was heavenly! Right on the beach..paradise!! Mira was very responsive and let me know that I could check in early without me even asking. Great communication through-out the stay. I had a package trying to be delivered that was addressed improperly and Mira seemed to genuinely careā€¦I got it by the way!! It was at the post office..šŸ¤— One of the best birthdays Iā€™ve ever had!! Thank-You!!

Beach getaway

Owner was super sweet and was in touch if we had any issues. The beach is right outside the back door which was exactly what we were hoping for. The place could use some updates and better insulation to keep nature out and make the air conditioner more efficient. Took a Long time to cool down at night. The master bed was pretty comfortable and the kids were okay on the couch and single bed chairs. My daughter liked sleeping upstairs in the loft which offers some privacy. Wish there was another bathroom with 5 of us sharing but we made do. There are beach chairs etc, but they are pretty worn and stacked in a small open shed. The outside could use some TLC. The place had plenty of beach towels, shower towels, a small hotel size shampoo/conditioner/moisturizer, toilet paper and paper towels which was nice! The toilet seat is weird , square shaped and moves around a bit. Cleaning supplies would be good to bring. Wish there was a vacuum as the sand is hard to keep out. Staircase going up to the loft is in a really bad spot so be Really careful not to walk into it. Best part is the beach and surrounding restaurants. Spent almost all of our time on the beach which wasn't crowded at all. Wish there were curtains on the many windows. The only curtains are in the master bedroom.No privacy at all and SO bright in the morning everywhere else. Luckily we're early risers:) Can't wait to get back to the beach!

FRAUD ALERT!!!!!

We chose a place to celebrate a very special family milestone. We arrived at the specified check-in time, 4pm. We had not been given the access codes and tried to reach the host. We left messages both on their private line and through VRBO. After waiting 30min with melting groceries in the car we had to contact the VRBO help line. After multiple attempts through VRBO we finally received the codes and gained entry almost an hour late. The house was as pictured but was lacking in cleanliness. The floors were so sandy I had to mop the floors with a damp towel. After cleaning and putting up our salvageable groceries we turned in early. First thing in the morning I learned that the storm shutters were stuck in the down position blocking the view of the beach on the whole left side of the rental. The activities shed was full of broken rusty beach umbrellas and chairs that were thrown in. The kitchen was so lacking in utensils I was unable to make pancakes. I messaged the host first thing in the morning to advise them of the broken shutters and the state of the activities shed and included images. They sent someone out to vacuum the floor. They were in and out in less then 30min, informed me they knew the shutters were broken, and shrugged when I pointed out the activities shed. It was a beautiful day on the beach so we switched gears and focused on the beauty and spending quality time together. On Sunday morning we woke up, cleaned the rental, stripped the beds , separated the towels into colors, wiped down the countertops and loaded the dishwasher. I rent often and always make a check out video (which I highly recommend!!) I texted the host we were out and started home. 30 min into our 3 hour ride home I received an alert from VRBO that a damages claim had been made for thousands of dollars. I also received a text from the owner they were charging me for the damages to the rental. Of course I had no idea what they could possibly be taking about. She then sent me 8 images of orange juice spilled on the floor and couch, along with what looks like crayon on the TV. I, at that point, knew I was being scammed!! I informed them that I had made a time stamped video of a check out walk through and I would be reporting them to VRBO. No response from them. I am now in the midst of a case against them through VRBO and am also considering a legal suit for fraud. Please protect yourself from unethical morally corrupt hosts like this one.

The last of its kind.

Perfect. Lots of space. Easy to organize, clean. We had a kids nerf-battle party of about 20 on a Saturday. Backyard was perfect for inflatable obstacle course & people.The property was clean, quiet. Other cabins were respectful. The white, sandy beach in 2 seconds is to-die for šŸ˜ There really isnā€™t an experience like this. Parking spot canā€™t be beat. Itā€™s a cottage so expect the country aspects but if you want real, this is it.

Private Beach Cottage

So Iā€™d like to start by saying the location is perfect, the house was wonderful, my only complaint would have to be the bed size in the bedroom but we made it work with the pull out bed. Also I was super hesitant messaging miss Mira in the inbox because she wasnā€™t seeing my responses I was afraid it was to good to be true ,however calling her she answered every time and was super polite. She helped ease the anxiety I had, If your thinking about staying here you definitely should it was a vacation to remember.

Beautiful location bad communication

This experience was unforgettable. Beautiful breathtaking location. House is gorgeous inside and out. However the communication with the host was awful. We were told to only bring flip flops, swimsuits and ourselves. Where we did pack minimally, Iā€™m glad I still thought to bring soap, shampoo, and care necessities. Thereā€™s not much to do in the house besides the beach and tv. So if the weather was bad youā€™d be bored with kids. Thereā€™s no microwave, no pods for keurig, was very little detergent to keep the requested towels clean with and personal items. And when asked about those things; and the ā€œmovies on the beachā€ that is offered on the listing; I never heard back from the host. Still havenā€™t and this is 3 days later. Made us feel like she got her money, and didnā€™t care if we needed or wanted anything after. Also, my husband fixed nails that were sticking up out of the porches and thereā€™s a huge piece of metal rebar kinda behind the house that could be dangerous: OH and thereā€™s charcoal but no grill. Other than those things; if you donā€™t find it a big deal than this location is perfect and the town of Indian rocks beach is beautiful quiet and sweet! Kooky Coconut is the best place to eat in town!

Great location and great vibe. However for $1000+ a night, there should be more than a full sized bed. Saying it could fit 8-9 people is a strrrreeeetttch.
