Beautiful Home on a Quiet Cul-de-Sac

Our home is the perfect place for the family to relax after a busy day at the beach, pool, golf course or tennis courts.

The three bedroom, three bath home at 6 Cockle Court in the quiet Inverness section of Palmetto Dunes is only a short walk to the beach(about 1/4 mile) and the many amenities of the plantation. Off of the living room is a spacious formal dining room that seats eight people comfortably. This room opens up to the newly renovated Carolina room, which features wall-to-wall windows, a sofa bed and a view of the pool. The pool area has been upgraded with travertine tile around the yard, great area for entertaining and grilling or sitting in the jacuzzi and enjoying the sunshine! (There is an added charge for heating the pool and hot tub.) ($700/per week or $100 per day/3 day minimum)

All three bedrooms of our home feature king-size beds, and the master suite has a TV/DVD player plus a beautiful master bath with two pedestal sinks, a granite top cabinet and a large walk in steam shower with dual showerheads. The other two bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the home and with recent renovations we have added a new bathroom so that each bedroom has a private bathroom. Both guest bedrooms have flat screen TV's and DVD players.. Our home is the perfect retreat for those that want to get away from it all, and truly have a relaxing Low Country vacation!

There is a $35 fee for each car staying in Palmetto Dunes.

We had a good time at your property as usual. The only complaint i have is, there were a lot of ants on the kitchen counter. We were killing them everyday. But, all in all we will return. Thank you.

The Hurricane Scare

Loved the house! Even with the bad weather we enjoyed the house immensely. Quite comfortable-would definitely stay again! Had only a few issues, nothing major, just worth mentioning. The master suite sheets were pilling. And the second bath tub didn’t drain. Also, same bath toilet had to be plunged. Worked fine afterwards but does need more flushing power. We had a lot rain, worried about flooding but the house was enough to still enjoy our vacation. We were able to use the pool a couple times when the rain stopped. The pool could use a newer filter, it didn’t filter well even after pool was cleaned

Great location and pool

The house is very spacious. Pool is a nice size. It is our 3rd year staying here and already booked for next year. Beach is an easy walk about 4/10 of a mile. Being in Palmetto Dunes is a great location to a lot of shopping and restaurants.

Great house

We loved our stay at this house. The pictures don’t do the house justice. The kitchen was fully stocked, the pool was great, and we loved the steam shower. Great home!

Great house and location

We have stayed at this house multiple times and always enjoy our stay. The owners ensure the home is clean and have done updates over the years to keep everything comfortable (the new paved path from the front yard to the pool is very nice). Looking forward to visiting again in the future!

The property met our needs, the owner was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to our questions. I was a bit concerned about the location but once we oriented ourselves it was a short walk to the beach and biking to shopping was easy.

Great size house. Nice size pool. House is very roomy and in a quiet court. This was our second year here and have already booked it for next year. Our host Mary Anne was very helpful and easy to get a hold of.

Management company was easy to get a hold of and took care of any problems I had quickly. Would definitely rent this property again. Property was very roomy and pool was perfect size.

So much potential...

Where to begin...this property has so much potential. We arrived and the outside appeared as pictured. When we entered, the house appeared to have been empty for awhile. Multiple cobwebs, bugs, dirt, just generally looked like it hadn't been cleaned or occupied in awhile. We contacted the managing company on day one and they said they sent an exterminator out. We were gone in the morning they came, so never saw that. The activity of spiders and appearances of dead bugs did increase by day 4, which I guess is common after spraying. We had two people in our party get stung by wasps at the pool. There was a can of wasp spray already there when we arrived, so I'm guessing we weren't the first to deal with this. Mosquitoes were out of control at night so nighttime swims became infrequent. We had a note that the pool was being cleaned when we arrived one day from the beach and we couldn't go in it for awhile. When we did go out, the hose had been left in the pool and it was extremely full. We were glad to have checked it before going to dinner. The house itself could be great if it was better taken care of. There was about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and it was great having the pool and grill available. Much left to be desired from the space, but we didn't let it dampen our visit. The owners were quick to respond to the few questions we had before our trip.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The pictures in the listing do not accurately visualize the house as it is very large and spacious. We loved the backyard with a pool and enjoyed the pool every day, and it was in very close proximity to forest beach. The check in process was very easy as we did not need to have to stop and get a key or a pass as it was mailed to us before we arrived. The house was not clean when we arrived, but it was cleaned well and we enjoyed time by the pool while waiting to get into the house on our first day. It has everything you need, And we very much loved our stay and will plan to return when possible.

Beautiful home and great location

We had a wonderful time at this house. The pictures do not do it justice- it is a beautiful home, was very clean, comfortable, and more than enough space for our family. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans and utensils, which made it easy for us to stay close to home during our trip as mich as we wanted. The pool is lovely, and the property is an easy 8-10 minute walk to the beach. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Very clean in a quiet neighborhood. Walk to the beach wasn’t bad and allowed us to get steps in. Pool company came Tuesday and scrubbed pool. Did a really good job. The problem was landscaping company came afterward and blew debris into the pool. No pole with net so made cleaning difficult. Additionally it rained and 5 or 6 worms in pool and couldn’t get out with no pole.

Highly recommended the property

We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property. The house is much better than portrayed by the pictures. Some minor improvements would enhance our experience but overall those imperfections did not have major impact on the quality of our vacation.

Beautiful home

The house is beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the pool every day. The walk to the beach was pretty easy. The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been an outdoor dining table. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Stay

Great stay

This was our third time at this house although it had been a few years. Never disappoints! The house is laid out nicely and in a quiet area. With COVID we spent most of our time at house and pool. Had everything we needed and really enjoyed the stay.

It was perfect

Our family stayed at this property for 11 days. We love Palmetto Dunes and wanted a home that could give us all ample room (we have three daughters ages 17, 15 & 12), and had a private pool. This house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all dishes and anything you might need. The sun room was great for morning coffee and quick work emails in the morning. We choose to ride our bikes a little further within the plantation for a less crowded beach, but even then it was maybe a 10 minute bike ride. Then we would come back and rinse off in the OUTSIDE shower which was great before we slipped into the pool to cool off and relax. The steam shower was also great. The only bummer was the dishwasher electrical panel quit on us with 4 days left and wasn't slated to be fixed until the day we left, so we had to hand wash all of our dishes. Not a deal breaker at all. We would definitely rent this home again--it feels like a home, not a rental property.

We loved our stay at 6 Cockle Court. It was a nice quiet area, and the kids loved the pool. We will look to stay there again in the future!

Our house is very comfortable and the layout is perfect for families with children. The pictures cannot do justice to the size of the interior but it is spacious inside and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The beach is within walking distance and the pool in the yard is great for swimming and enjoying the sun.
