Nestled on 6.5 acres of tranquil, wooded land, Fern Hollow is our personal second home where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of all four seasons. Surrounded by towering trees and abundant wildlife, this serene escape offers the best of both worlds—peaceful seclusion just minutes away from the heart of Brevard, North Carolina.

What You'll Love About Fern Hollow:
Fully renovated in late 2023-2024, every inch of Fern Hollow has been carefully crafted for comfort. The home features two ensuite bedrooms on the main floor, each with a queen-sized bed, perfect for two couples. The ground floor includes a versatile flex space with two twin beds and adjoining full bathroom equipped with a washer and dryer, accommodating a total of six guests (more than 4 guests require additional nightly fee per person).

As our cherished second home, Fern Hollow is fully stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. From kitchen essentials to comfortable linens, our personal library of puzzles, board games, and books set in the area, there's always something to enjoy!

Guests will also have access to the garage storage area for stowing bikes, kayaks, camping chairs and other outdoor gear.

Fern Hollow is located in the heart of the “Land of the Waterfalls,” an area renowned for its stunning waterfalls and crystal-clear swimming holes. You’ll be close to many of the area’s best waterfall hikes, perfect for exploring the natural beauty that surrounds you. We’ve even crafted a curated list of our favorites for you to explore.

Mountain Biking Paradise: The region is a haven for mountain biking enthusiasts, with countless trails just a short drive away. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a beginner, you’ll find plenty of options to suit your skill level, as well as several nearby bike shops that offer advice and rentals.

While you’ll feel wonderfully secluded, you’re never far from modern conveniences. Downtown Brevard is just 10 minutes away, offering dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. Pisgah National Forest is a 7-minute drive, and you can reach DuPont State Forest in 12 minutes. The Asheville Regional Airport is a quick 25-minute trip, the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville are just 40 minutes away.

***Please note! The rural location means that cell service can be spotty or nonexistent based on your carrier (AT&T seems better than Verizon). The only internet option for our area is DSL and we use the WiFi calling feature for iPhones. We typically don’t have any problems using a streaming service for TV or movies but limit number of devices to 2 at a time for best performance. We cannot guarantee the internet would be fast enough for a remote work situation that requires ability to download or upload at high speeds.***
