Premium 5 BR Villa With Private Pool & Jacuzzi In the Solana Resort Near Disney

The setting for pool heat was/is 89°F and for the spa 104°F. Due to the high outside temperatures around 100°F it feels like that the pool/spa wasn’t heated but it was. Without pool heat the temperature would have been in the mid-eighties and this is cold in comparison to the outside temperatures. So, it was just a feeling of the guests that the pool wasn’t heated but it was! Mid of May until end of July is lovebug season in Florida. At this time thousands of lovebugs are in the air and flying around. All guests are advised to keep all doors closed all times, especially the doors to the pool deck, the entrance door and the garage door, to avoid lovebugs coming into the house and avoid additional cleanings. Even though if the pool area is screened the screen is not so close to hinder the lovebugs entering the pool area and the house if the patio door is not closed by the guests! And at the end, we offer all our guests the service to get in touch with our local property manager (daily in the resort) to ask for assistance and support, but the guests haven’t done so.

We have replaced linens, sheets and towels during our last stay end of January 2023! The quality we pick for the replacement is always a good one, quite better than standard. Unfortunately, even the best and highest quality looks bad if it will be treated with chlorine and/or bleach or items of different colors will be washed together in the same cycle after the first use. This happens unfortunately often. The issue with the jets is related to a required replacement of the pool filter cartridge. Our property manager ordered a new cartridge as soon as he was notified by our guests. The cartridge was installed right after delivery which was a little delayed due to the well known issues with the related supply chain.

I personally have checked the lock after the notification by the guest and it worked well. Nothing to be fixed! It looks like that it was less an issue of the lock than more an issue of operation. Due to the high cleaning fees for grills, we don’t provide a private grill at the house according to our VRBO listing to our guests, so I can’t complain about an issue which won’t be provided according to the listing. Beside the grills at the BBQ area located at the clubhouse, we support all our guests in renting a grill from one of the several local vendors on their own expenses if they asked for.

Please let me add some commends to this review: We always request our guests to keep all doors and windows closed whenever possible. It is matter of fact that one of our (previous) guests haven't closed the doors properly during their stay. Roaches are very fast in the house and hard to get out. During our last stays in September and December 2017 we haven't be faced with this issue. After notification by the guests our property manager has acted fast by arranging a deep treatment against the roaches just 20 minutes after notification as mentioned in the review. A daily check on the effectiveness has been performed for a complete week to ensure that the issue was solved. In addition our property manager has offered the guests a cancellation of their rental with total refund and they decided to stay. Our house is indicated as a self-catering unit within the HomeAway listing. Therefrom we provide a welcome package including an initial setup of toilet paper, cleaning supplies and detergents to all of our guests upon arrival. To keep the rental rates low all further items in addition to the welcome package have to be purchased by the guests on their own expense as mentioned in the listing.

By observation such issues we offer to all of our guests the service to replace items during the stay which are damaged, odd or stained by or local manager since he has always replacement items in stock. The guests just have to inform him by phone. A notification about an issue via a review will always take us the chance to rectify an issue during the stay, it would be just good for the next guests.

I’m really surprised that the guests with the shortest stay and the lowest rates have always the greatest expectations/aspirations. The pictures in the listing are showing exactly the status of our house upon reservation as other guests have confirmed in their reviews. So, at the time of choosing our property as their vacation home every guest knows what he will get. And if the guest would have read the listing thoroughly, the guest would have noticed that we don’t provide a grill to our guests, instead we recommend using the grills at the public BBQ area of the resort and that it would take 30 minutes to get to Disney. For us it is not comprehensible why the guests are complaining about topics they are familiar with prior to booking. As also stated in the listing Florida has a tropical climate which attracts insects and faded out colors of all non-covered areas. And since our house is protected regularly against insects and the pool is cleaned and sanitized regularly by professional companies, the pool chemicals support the fade out of all colors within a short period, even if the paint is new. So, the pool color looks a little splodgy due to the reasons described before. And in case an additional pest control appointment is needed our local property manger would be happy to arrange it. The same is valid for any need on repairs like for repairs on blinds or the sliding door lock. And since the guests haven’t noticed our property manager about it, the repair just could be performed after check-out! Also, all doors (including the door to the garage/game room) and windows should kept closed at all time to prevent that insects are coming into the house even if the house was sprayed regularly by a professional pest control company, Concerning the streaming, internet, and TV service the total community is tied by HOA contract to one broadband company. Even if the service of this broadband company isn’t always perfect, so there is currently no chance for homeowners in this resort to substitute it. And due to lot of constructions going on in the total area of Orlando sometimes the broadband service is interrupted by damages on the cable infrastructure always outside of the resort.
