Casa Joanne is a unique romantic, exquisitely furnished, three-story penthouse overlooking the ocean. Located in Upper Conchas Chinas, Puerto Vallarta's most exclusive neighborhood, it is just five minutes south of town. This property features dramatic unobstructed views of the bay from all of its more than 6,000 square feet.

Each of the four totally private and spacious, air-conditioned master suites have views and romantic ambiance in abundance. All four bedrooms have King Size beds, and all master suites are on separate floors and share no common walls.

Each suite has a different theme, design and decor. Each elegant bathroom offers the opportunity to indulge the fantasy of showering with a view of the sea.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are all open to the outdoors on the ocean-side of the house, which blurs the distinction between the indoors and outdoors. This is a classic example of the Vallarta Lifestyle which is so envied by much of the world.

Two of the four large and inviting terraces lead the eye to where the heated infinity pool blends seamlessly with the sparkling water of the bay below, the perfect place to savor a fine tequila, chardonnay or margarita and to watch Vallarta's famous sunsets.

Terry and Joanne, the owners, have furnished their home throughout with wonderful examples of Mexican fine art.

Because of its ideal location, 'Penthouse Joanne' is constantly bathed by gentle breezes which add a sensual pleasure to the warm sunny days and starlit nights around the pool and patio.

The gentle sound of falling water comes from two charming fountains which grace the dining area and a 3rd private terrace off the master bedroom. Some people have to return a second time to see the sights of Vallarta because they never leave the house.

A very special and beautiful home. The open massive view from every room is the sell point along with beautiful architecture. Whale watching in January from the edge of the pool everyday. Beautiful.

Second Time Stay - Will Stay Again

We stayed here in February with a group of friends and returned for Thanksgiving with a group of family. It was just as great of an experience. Terry and Alfredo are very easy to communicate with and Lupe and Rosario did a great job with the meals and daily housekeeping. The pool was warm and we were even able to see whales from the pool on two different occasions. We will definitely come back!

The owner of this hope sets the stage for a great experience well in advance of your arrival. We have stayed here twice now and wouldnā€™t consider staying anywhere else. The layout of the house and views of the sunset are unmatched.

Our group of 8 friends stayed at Casa Joanne and canā€™t recommend it enough. The meals we ate at the house were all 10/10 and better than many of the restaurants in town. The pool was actually heated and comfortable during the chilly evenings, and the rooms/views were better than the photos suggest in the listing. Terry and Alfredo were easy to work with leading up to/during our trip.

Fabulous!

We had the very best stay at this spacious, comfortable, beautiful home. We cannot find any fault. Terry the homeowner was an excellent communicator and went out of his way to make sure that we were informed. Rosario the maid was an absolute sweetie & Guadalupe the chef cooked some delicious food. A dream location to enjoy the views and all Puerto Vallarta has to offer

We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was a Casa Joanne. The pictures don't do it justice! From the minute we arrived until our last day, everything was exceptional. We had access to a chef, daily housekeeping, and a property manager who was always available with any questions. It was a quick walk to the beach, a short Uber to fantastic restaurants and shopping, an views of sunset that were as dramatic as they were beautiful. Plus, there was so much space, four couples had plenty of room to both gather together as a group and have private space as well. We look forward to another trip!

What an AMZING place!

This property is absolutely beautiful! Our host, Terry, was very quick to answer any questions that we had and provided accurate recommendations for the local area. The onsite team organized roundtrip ground transportation from the airport and even included a stop for groceries along the way! Once we arrived at Casa Joanne, we were greeted with margaritas and fresh flowers. Each morning Rosario arrived and took are of everything from laundry to dishes and making the beds. We look forward to our next visit to Puerto Vallarta and Casa Joanne!

Best vacation ever!

We have traveled quite a bit and this was by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed. From the moment we walked in the door, it took our breath away. We read all the reviews and they were spot on! Our host was wonderful to work with and he was in communication all along the way. The response was quick and his knowledge of Puerta Vallarta was vast and very helpful. We had a group of 6 and were there for 10 days and wished we could have had more time. Book this space, you will be so very happy you did. We will be back - it was pure perfection and our favorite vacation ever!

Great place

This was our second year for a long weekend in this house. The house is incredible. Guadalupe (chef) is incredible and funny. Alfredo is very helpful and always responsive. Small critique on this trip is the pool was not kept as clean as last year. Algae crept in on day 2. I have no doubt it was taken care of after our stay and will not be an issue in the future. We will see you next year.

Beautiful space, attentive host and staff

This penthouse, perched at the top of a cliff overlooking the ocean, is absolutely gorgeous. All bedrooms open to the outdoors with massive windows which most of us never closed, just kept open to hear the ocean and city sounds. We spent many nights in or around the pool watching the sunset. Ubers to old town (zona romantica) are very fast and cheap, but we felt very much removed from the town hustle. I spoke with Terry several times to arrange our stay and we were able to prebook several boat tours for coast exploration and whale watching. Terry is a communicative and attentive host and knows the ins and outs of the city. I recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet, beautiful space to stay but also wants easy access to town.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The location to the town of Puerto Vallarta is perfect. We had numerous meals prepared by Guadalupe & Lynette. They are fantastic women, creating beautiful meals. It feels as though the sunset is placed right in the middle of Casa Joanne's view. Unbelievable. There is a fireworks show that we had the pleasure of watching (Thursday night) that was literally right in front of our Villa. The pool is perfect. We all concluded that each of our rooms was "the best" room. Which means - all bedrooms are exceptional. Uber was so quick and so CHEAP. Highly recommend El Dorado, La Palapa, and Blue Shrimp for nice meals out. Exceptional food - spectacular service. Margarita time & Andale's were fun for drinks. Felt safe EVERYWHERE we went. The people of Puerto Vallarta are lovely. My daughter did get her card case stolen while in town, so be careful with your personal items - it happens. I can't imagine staying anywhere but this beautiful home. Only negative was the roof was being repaired/replaced. My son & daughter were woken up to banging every morning and could see the workers through the window. Not ideal. But this project will likely be complete after our stay and nothing another guest will have to deal with.

One of our best vacations, ever

The great experience began with conversing with Terry, his support, his willingness to answer all our questions patiently, offer guidance and tips, making arrangements, recommendations about places to dine and things to do. Terry, we met up with William, your friend and the owner of the Barcelona Tapas (wow - what a restaurant). He spoke highly of you. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Alfredo, the manager. He made some of the best margs and the fresh gauc, pico and chips were simply amazing. The staff was a big part of the experience. Rosario who kept the place spotless and made all our beds, while being discreet, Guadalupe, the chef, who made amazing me Terry, we met up with William, your friend and the owner of the Barcelona Tapas (wow - what a restaurant). Rosario who kept the place spotless and made all our beds, while being discreet, Guadalupe, the chef, who made amazing meals, to order, and taught some of us Spanish and Alfredo who was literally a text message away, arranging cabs and buying us drinks. And the place - Casa Joanne. Words can't explain how beautiful this place is. We stayed there for 5 days. We really, didn't have to go anywhere. There was so much to explore right inside. Every piece of painting, every light fixture, every sink is beautiful. Everything works, not a light switch that doesn't work and there are so, so many of them. And the accent lighting is absolutely romantic. The infinity pool was fabulous. Our family was in the pool for so long. The audio system (you can pair your Bluetooth and listen to your own music). Don't forget the sunsets - absolutely mind blowing. Believe it or not, we saw a whale, right from the pool. I had to take a few business calls and the office space in the master bedroom was perfect and the internet bandwidth (200 Mbps down and 90 Mbps up) was fantastic. Vallarta is such a cool place. So many great restaurants, people are super friendly, we felt completely safe, both in terms of sheer security and covid protocols. Everyone masks up, outdoor dining everywhere. Overall, we had the best of times. Made so many memories and as a family we owe Terry a debt of gratitude for sharing one of his houses with us for the five days. Thank you Terry and staff. -Hari

You know the phrase ā€œpictures just donā€™t do it justiceā€ā€¦the thing is, the pictures are actually very beautiful, and had we gotten exactly what was pictured, we wouldā€™ve been more than satisfied. This place is absolutely stunning. The view from anywhere in the house is breathtaking. 3 min taxi ride to a gorgeous sand and beautiful rock beach. Never crowded. Staff incredibly helpful and kind. Host is wonderful and communication is on point. Cook/maid and property manager all wonderful people. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning.

Fantastic experience

Our family stayed here (four adult sons and a daughter-in-law plus my husband and I) the week of another son's wedding. What a fabulous house. Since one couple has been out of the country for the past two months, this was the perfect coming together space. We loved the uniqueness of each suite. Everyone felt catered to and special in this spectacular home. We truly did not need to leave other than for the wedding and rehearsal. It was the perfect comfortable space to host out-of-town family members for a drink and conversation. We loved the open air rooms and never felt the need to use the air conditioning. The unique bathrooms added to the ambiance of each suite as well. Rosario quietly went about her chores keeping the place in tip top shape daily. Guadalupe was a joy and wonderful chef. Thank you to Alfredo for insuring all was well at check in and arranging our chef and great boat tour. We did actually take the boat tour booked with Juan via Vikago. Chamas was our captain for the Mona Lisa - value priced, fun experience for all of us. We also took the Canopy River ATV,zipline, mule ride one day. Highly recommend it. We were sad to leave and look forward to a return visit with some other couples. It would be remiss to exclude the open and positive conversation prior to our trip with the owner, Terry Hale. You were absolutely correct - we had a great trip!

Beyond amazing

We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for over 37 years. This was the best stay weā€™ve ever had hands-down. We have stayed at some of the top properties in the area of Conchas Chinas and this smokes them all.

Book this one!

We just completed our stay here today and we were so sad to leave! Everything was so wonderful from the very beginning. We traveled as a family of five with two teens and an 11 year old. We had so much space. The view is absolutely perfect and we watched whales in the bay almost every single day!! Check in and out was super simple. We preordered some drinks to stock the fridge and they were there when we arrived. The property manager was so helpful! The cleaning lady was an absolute saint and we hired the chef to cook for us breakfast and dinner and she was amazing! We ate at some of the recommended places the owner left for us. Everything could not have been better. This house is absolutely gorgeous. We hope to return!

Wowza!

What an amazing stay!! We have been traveling to Puerto Vallarta for the past 30 years and this place is amazing!!! From the great communication with the property owner to the amazing staff our stay couldnā€™t have been better!! Pictures do not do this place justice, it is just spectacular!! Canā€™t wait to return!!

From the very beginning to leaving the house today, everything went smoothly, the house is gorgeous, Alfredo was helpful and Rosario the housekeeper was fantastic. I will definitely return without hesitation!

Idyllic trip to Puerto Vallerta

This property was perfect for four ladies. All of the bedrooms were large with a great view. The living area had several different seating arrangements and the kitchen had everything that you would need. There was only one slight distraction and that was road noise and the disco on the beach. The neighbors in the 6 unit location were very nice and accommodating.

Terry is a retired dentist who sells and develops real estate for Douglas Elliman/Josjhua & CO, in Aspen and Puerto Vallarta and ownned the Agave Grill restaurant and tequila bar in PV for 12 years. Joanne is a Phd Psychotherapist and published author of 'Parenting is a Contact Sport. We have found that having a place in both Aspen and PV allows us to have and enjoy our ultimate fantasy lifestyle.

We built Penthouse Casa Joanne in 1998 because from our deck we can watch, whales and dolfins and the everchanging beauty of the entire bay. And, Vallarta has Mexico's finest restaurants, golf, surfing, sport fishing, boating and a large number of our friends live there. What's not to like?
Unlike a lot of other places, Vallarta is a real town with cobblestone streets and
a colorful history. It is not just a resort, but a real community, with a vibrant lifestyle that we find incredibly charming.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We have fabulous views of the entire bay, from each and every separate suite and room in the property, which gives us an ideal seat for viewing Vallarta's legendary sunsets, whales and dolphins. We are close to town and yet totally private and secluded from anyones sight and sound, which allows us to enjoy totall privacy, inside the villa, and on its many decks and terraces, It's paradise for us. They say best way to enjoy Mexico is to spend the day doing absolutely nothing, and then end it with a nap. While there is a ton
of things to do in PV we have to agree with the previous statement!
