We did not stay on the dates listed. It was 8/25-8/29. It was to be till 8/30 but some how our reservation was messed up due to owner meeting so we had to leave on Friday. The host stated that week was supposed to be blocked off due to owner meeting but my thought is no hesitation to take my second half of payment in May so it was disappointing. Was told it was a mistake on VRBO side. The condo was “not finished “ being cleaned. The host came over & did a few touch up things. I did need to throw away chicken patties left in freezer by someone. The host did have another rental available we moved to (no beach view). We decided if we had to pack up and move might ans well stay an extra night. Still working on the cost of that rental. And the host did say he would refund some on The Shores rental so we will see. Overall, beach view is always great at The Shores but would not stay in this particular townhome again.

Location, location, location

We love this end of PCB, and The Shores is great for being able to be on the beach in just seconds. The unit itself had just about everything we needed and is quite spacious for two people. The property manager was very responsive in communicating with us. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Great townhouse

Spotlessly clean and steps from the sand!

This is our third stay at this property. It was so clean and had everything we needed. You can not get any closer to the sand. We enjoyed waking up to views of the beach from our bed. We love the garage to store all our beach gear. Jeff was super helpful the one time we had to contact.

Not up to par

This particular unit is very outdated and dirty. Our family does not expect fancy, however we do expect clean. The unit has a distinct musty smell that the property manager stated he could not smell when he brought us Lysol and later Febreze. The entire unit except for bathrooms and kitchen has shag carpet that must be contributing to the smell. When we asked, the property manager told us that the carpets are cleaned "a couple times a year" and then remarked that we had booked one of the cheapest per night units, as if this excuses filth. We were told they would try to have carpets cleaned during our stay but never heard anything else about it and no one came to clean them. The outside of the Gulf side door was so dirty there is no way it has been wiped down in months. We mentioned it and took it upon ourselves to wipe it down, soiling half a canister of Clorox wipes in the process. Overall we were very disappointed in this unit and would not stay there again and would not recommend it. We had 30 family members staying in various units and none of them were dirty.

If you're looking for a place ON the beach, this is for you

My family of 4 stayed here for our summer vacation. It is literally on the beach, just walk down the deck steps or out the garage door and the beach is right there. The ocean view from both decks was wonderful. On overcast days when there were rip currents and double red flags at the beach, we went to the pool. The pool was a really nice place to spend the day. The pool water was perfect and the chairs were comfortable, and there was shade for those who needed it. As for other reviewers who comment about the decor needing updating, we didn't see much of a problem. This place met our needs.

Great Place to Stay

Our family has been staying at the Shores for 30 years. It’s a perfect spot on the beach, away from all the chaos. It’s clean, great for families and we’ll be back. I do hope the HOA starts some renovations on the backside soon. Some wear and tear on the building is beginning to really show. This unit was great for our family though. Highly recommend.

Excellent Location

We love this area, perfectly between the 30A area and PCB. Best of both worlds. Unit could use some TLC however it didn't deter from our experience. Property manager was very responsive.

Great property in a great location.

Does it need some love - yes, would it stop us from staying there again - ABSOLUTELY NOT. Plenty of space, updated kitchen and bathrooms. Big wide beach right outside your door completely makes up for any cosmetic needs inside. Nice big garage for storage and space. If we come back to PCB will definitely check this property first!

Relaxing Vacation Spot

We really enjoy staying at the Shores Townhomes and have for years. The location to the beach, grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment is perfect! In this unit the kitchen and bathrooms were nice and updated, however, it did need new mattresses in the second bedroom and the beach chairs were not good so we did have to buy some but there were beach toys for the kids. Overall a good place to stay for the price!

Best beach in Panama City

This unit is older and can definitely use some updates- no light fixtures or fans on ceiling, there is obvious water damage on ceilings and many light switches do nothing. Additionally, the listing says it sleeps 8 and it let me reserve for 8 people. I mistakenly assumed that it had a sleeper sofa. But there are only 3 beds, sleeping 6 and a leather couch and love seat that are not sleeper sofas. We made it work. BUT...the A/C is cold, the proximity to the beach is amazing, the appliances are all newer and in working order, we had plenty of hot water. We saw manatees, sting rays, found sand dollars, and basically had the beach to ourselves with only one or two families in close proximity on most days. Winn-Dixie is a minute away. Jeff called us before our arrival to let us know that a faucet handle had broken and had a temporary fix handle. We didn't need him for anything else and appreciated his heads up. Overall, we would go back to here b/c of all the positives. But we would bring less people and some fans!

Can’t beat the view!

Amazing view of the gorgeous beach and ocean and being able to walk down the steps from your porch and then be right on the beach is great. We went the first week in June and the beach was never crowded so lots of space to put up chairs / a beach tent. The beds in the condo were comfy and bathrooms were updated. The condo could use a few other updates which I had shared with the owner: the patio table is really rusty and needs to be replaced, where the carpet meets the tile another strip of carpet is needed so as not to have the carpet tacks exposed, and the lock to the garage door from the beach needs to be replaced as it’s rusted out. It would also be nice to have a few more bowls / plates given the number of guests the condo can accommodate. The owner was easy to get a hold of for check in / check out via phone. Overall we had a nice stay!

June 2021 stay

Condo needs s few maintenance issues which I communicated with the manager and I believe they will be taken care of. The place, location is great. We will be back.

Great place to stay

Everything you need if you want a quiet beach getaway. It's a great place, friendly atmosphere and manager was responsive and friendly. This was my second stay at this complex with two different owners, both were excellent, and I will definitely stay here next time. Thank you so much Mr Mason

.family orientated end of the beach. This is almost private and your kids can run and play without bumping it people. Complex also has a pool. This unit is very nice and well maintained. You will not go wrong in making this your home a way from home.
