Our Beach House, Aloha Hueneme, has been remodeled and decorated with Vintage Rattan furniture, modern kitchen, travertine and bamboo floors. Three bedrooms, 2 baths, family room, living room, kitchen, and garage. 60" cable TV, Wi-Fi, Stereo, & Turntable
Kitchen features a Pro style 36" NCR Range, 2 sinks with disposals, a coffee bar with coffee, and a Bosch Dishwasher.
All Beds have new mattresses, new pillows and bedding,
Central Air and Heat!!
New front patio and Fire Pit with long Bocce ball lawn....

This Single Level House is close to being handicap accessible, there is only one step into the family room and standard thresholds. Large yard, 2 patios, and Fire Pit...
Plentiful parking. It's only 175 steps to the sand of the beautiful Silver Strand Beach, the Gem of the Channel Islands beaches!!
The garage has beach cruisers, Ice chests, beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboards, umbrellas and sand toys.

We Clean and disinfect extensively in accordance with VRBO guidelines. All linens are washed and replaced before every stay.

COVID Changes
We follow social distancing guidelines.
We space bookings with 1 night between each booking.
We have installed Keypad Deadbolt for self-check in, Door code will be sent before arrival.

The Silver Strand is in Southern California between Santa Barbara and Santa Monica. Close to Santa Barbara Wineries, Ojai, and the Santa Barbara Mountains.
The Silver Strand is the hidden beach, very quiet and peaceful.

Great Beach Home

It's bigger than it looks online and very comfortable. Thoughtful touches all around, well maintained, and so close to the ocean! Loved staying here and definitely would again. Thanks Donovan and Gretchen!

Perfect beach house

Fourth time coming to this beach house. My boys are all adults now and continue to enjoy staying here. Owners are very welcoming and attentive to all age groups staying here. Love this house.

Lovely vacation home

We stayed at the Silver Strand Beach property over the Christmas break and it was lovely. The nearby towns are filled interesting restaurants and the gondola ride on the channel was a great hit, even though it rained. Elaine

Wonderful Stay

Really wonderful stay. The kitchen was stocked with enough equipment and dishes to help us cook some great meals. There was more than enough space for all 6 of us to rest and spend time together. So close to the beach. Really easy check in and out process. And also a bonus was the fun toys that helped to entertain our 2yo!

Peaceful retreat

The house is on a great location. The house is close by the beach but also very safe. The house has enough rooms for you to have family gatherings or alone time for yourself. We used the fire pit every night to recoup from our fun days at the beach.

Winter Holidays at the Beach

Though located on the densely-populated Silver Strand, Beach, this property offered our family of four adults welcome privacy and quiet for the December holidays. Clearly, the owners are eager to offer renters a quality experience: the home is very clean, attractively appointed, and carefully maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped, for making and serving homecooked meals. We much enjoyed our stay--comfortable both in the hospitable indoor living areas and in the sunny patios outdoors.

A great place to stay!

This was our third time at silver strand but our first time in this house. This house far exceeded our expectations. It was more than well-equipped with all the stuff you could possibly need for the beach and a kitchen with all the necessary appliances and pots, pans and dishes. The yard is fabulous for entertaining or just hanging out. Our dog was very happy. We're planning to stay here again next year.

Best family vacation rental!

Amazing one story house with front, side and backyard! Newly renovated and fully stocked with everything you could hope for. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies, comfortable beds and nicely furnished. Books snd toys for kids were an extra bonus. Grassy areas to run and play and half a block from the beach. Owners were easy to communicate with. Would definitely return here and highly recommend this home away from home!

Clean, comfy, and cozy

We completely enjoyed our stay at the Aloha Hueneme home! Donovan and Gretchen are gracious hosts and their personal touches to the home made this stay very comfortable. The kitchen was great, rooms were clean, and there were ample towels, linens, and even all you need for the beach! Bikes, sand toys, boogie boards, surf boards, chairs, umbrella, and a wagon to carry it all! Also, their cable T.V. worked great, as did their WiFi; we've stayed in places were these things were a luxury! Thank you Donovan and Gretchen!!

Beautiful Home! Great location!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home! We had plenty of room for our family to spread out! The house was very well kept and clean. The kitchen was stocked well with everything you could need. Our kids loved that there were surf boards and beach toys to use for us at the beach. The beach is so close, that was definitely a big plus! The area where this house is located is just beautiful. Very quiet beach and plenty of area to explore. We would definitely stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Al and Rhonda Schmidt

Great!

Fantastic! We stay in Silver Strand every summer and this is the best house by far for our family of four and our lab. The fenced-in yard with grass is perfect and the foot wash area with mineral oil (for tar balls) was a nice touch. The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures and the central air conditioning was a great bonus. They even had a beach wagon that we used to trek our stuff back and forth to the sand. We look forward to staying there again next summer.

The Best Place to stay is Aloha Hueneme!

We just returned home from an 8 day stay at Aloha Hueneme. This vacation home is absolutely gorgeous and it has everything. A well-stocked kitchen, beach toys, surf boards, boogie boards, bicycles, board games, cable, wifi. There are 2 grills (charcoal and gas), a very large partially covered patio with plenty of seating and a beautiful flower garden. The home is well kept and was very clean. The 3 bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds slept well. The neighborhood was very quiet at night. Parking for 2 vehicles was outside the door. It has a nice large fenced front yard for children to play. And of course, the beach is just steps away from your door. we had a slight issue with the cable tv but Donovan came and fixed it without hesitation. He and Gretchen are very nice people. The house reflects the love and attention that they have put into it to make it a special place for their renters. If you want first class accommodations, Aloha Hueneme is the place. We will definitely be staying here again next year.

Great Location for a Beach Vacation

This is a very cute beach home, and bigger than I expected. The pictures really don't do it justice. If you are looking to spend much of your time at the beach, this is a perfect location - and comes with beach chairs, toys, body boards, surf boards... everything you might need. The house has a beautiful, well-stocked kitchen that, again, has everything you might need. We had chilly weather (and some rain) during our trip, so only spent one day at the beach - but the property ended up being a good location for day trips. One day we drove up to Los Olivos and Solvang, ending up in Santa Barbara for dinner. (We initially set the GPS for Neverland Ranch, and then just kept driving. There are paved, back-country roads with gorgeous scenery - you can go 15 minutes and then turn around, or probably drive for hours.) Highly recommend this drive. Another day we drove to Laguna Beach, which is further away - but we hadn't been there before and my family thought it was worth the drive. We had already hit the Hollywood tourist spots before arriving in Oxford, but that would also be an easy drive from the house. I would definitely rent this property again. We were not able to go to the Channel Islands (due to closures related to the Coronavirus), so hope to be back someday!

Week at the beach

We have stayed here multiple times. We love the short walk to the beach. The yard space is amazing. The amenities are perfect for us.

Family Wedding

My husband and I came to Oxnard to attend our son-in-law's sister's wedding. We had rented in this neighborhood before. It is a quiet area with easy access to the beach and amenities. The house was even larger than I expected, both inside and out. Lots of areas to relax. It well set up for adults and kids alike. The grandsons played with the toys and games. One of the best features is the outdoor shower for washing off sand. We would definitely stay here again!

Beach, beach, baby!

This was our second time at Donovan & Gretchen’s place. We love how close it is to the beach (half a block); in a quiet, secluded area; all amenities you may need; clean, easy communication; a wonderful getaway! We hope to be back soon.

Wonderful Stay

This home was everything we could ask for on our family stay. Everything from the outdoor fire pit to the bikes and beach toys were perfect. Spacious seating outside with the BBQ, Whale Watching in the Channel Islands is highly recommended (get the Groupon). The dock is only a two minute drive from the home. Great communication with the Hosts as well.

Amazing Family Vacation

Oxnard is my beach

I really enjoy staying at the Silver Strand beach house. Not only is the beach steps away everything in close by. Restaurants, grocery stores, the harbor, and many other places. Never is there traffic in Oxnard. It is a safe, quiet town for those who want to relax.
