This super family friendly Heron Marsh unit is located in Litchfield by the Sea and is nothing short of a few steps to the beach and pool access. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms with a washer/dryer, spacious sundeck, wifi, cable, fully stocked kitchen with granite counter tops, flat screen TV in the living room, covered parking and much more. Guests have use of the Heron Marsh pool with lots of area for sun bathing as well as walking paths, tennis and pickleball courts, fishing areas and of course miles of pristine beach. Litchfield By the Sea also features Starbucks on site, community dining and spa as well as full time 24 security in this private gated community. Bedding accommodations include two double beds downstairs and a queen bed upstairs for the master suite.

This property has a traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig.

This property includes access to a dedicated premium Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) from Bluewater Carts for an additional fee through the Journee Golf cart rental system. Perfect condo for a beach trip!

Had the best beach week!! This condo was in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and in a great community! Condo was clean and had just about everything we needed. Certain aspects could have use some updating, but overall great condo!

Beach trip

Overall great place to stay. The bed in the master bedroom was very bad. I could have slept as good in the driveway with a pillow and blanket.

I think the layout of the property was really good. The space was perfect for us and our needs. The property was in a good location with easy in and out. The negatives for us were the following:Was not "just steps" away from the pool, was too far to walk, the distance to beach was fine.The furnishings and flooring in the unit were very worn and not clean. Due for updating. The utensils and some of the dishes were not clean. I had to run all through a dishwasher cycle before using them.

This Litchfield location affords easy access to beach , tennis courts, on-site Starbucks and cycling. We are already planning to return !

Comfort at the beach

The Herron Marsh units are comfortable and modern, with a 5-minute walk to the beach. Great restaurants are only minutes away. The Litchfield resort is a great concept. Downside: there is often noise from heavy equipment right outside your unit (tree trimming, lawn mowing, etc.) starting as early as 8 a.m. We realize this is necessary work but if you like to sleep in, you'll have to deal with it. Also, these are quad-plexes so chances are you'll have someone on either side, and they could be noisy.

Poorly maintained with issues

Nice location, but property was old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Some dishes were dirty, shower didn’t drain well, beds were uncomfortable, and internet/cable tv didn’t work.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has stayed at Litchfield by the Sea and Heron Marsh Villas for many years, but this is the first time in this unit. As noted in previous reviews, there are several things in the condo that can do with an update - unworkable shower doors, water stained ceiling, older appliances, etc.The location is great and the overall resort is great, but this unit could use a makeover.

The kitchen light panel was broken., the air conditioning did not work upstairs in the bedroom, the upstairs tub had a large chip in the porcelain and the floor near the tub was in bad condition. Wasn't expecting the property to have minor issues for the amount of money to rent. As long as you are okay with that, I would recommend it to anyone looking for convenient location to the beach.

Perfect for us!

Reviewer Comments: We rented Heron Marsh 86 by accident because we had originally scheduled a different property, but the owner sold it, so our agency moved us to this unit. It was very clean and homey. And a bonus was that we were very close to a bunch of family staying in Captains Quarters across the road from Heron Marsh. Overall, the community is quiet and feels safe. The bike trails were so fun, and the kids loved being free to bike all over. I appreciated the shade under the deck for those sunny, hot days when we wanted to be outside. The beach was a short walk through the Captain's Quarters buildings. The only complaint was the beds were ultra firm, which I find uncomfortable, but to each their own in that department. I recommend this property to anyone who likes a peaceful beach vacation with bike trails, tennis, and pool access. One recommendation for renters is to bring containers for food as there weren't any to store leftovers. Happy vacationing!

Vacation Getaway

This was our 1st time in Litchfield area. The development is fabulous. Lots to do within a quick jaunt. Business 17 has so many eateries. The location of our unit was walking distance (5 minutes) of the beach. We had a wonderful time; thanks for the experience.
