Waterview In Town! Cannery Inn - Chelan

Waterview In Town! Located a few blocks from the ferry landing; this newly built, cozy and modern unit has everything you will need to enjoy Friday Harbor. Cannery Inn - Chelan is one of 4 rooms for rent in the Cannery Inn building. The Chelan room offers a water-view and is ideal for guests seeking outdoor activities, shopping, dining and everything else the island has to offer. Also perfect for the boater who wants to regain their land legs, as the stairs down to the Port of Friday Harbor are only a few yards away.

This unit is equipped with a mini-Keurig (coffee pods are provided upon check-in) microwave, mini fridge, full bath, queen bed, Wi-Fi and flat screen Satellite TV. Guests are also welcome to relax and take in the magnificent views from the entry deck that is only available for guests of the Cannery Inn Suites. There is a smaller deck area attached to the unit if you are seeking more privacy.

Downtown Friday Harbor is one short block away from the Cannery Inn. Guests can take a short stroll down the hill to visit some of Friday Harbor's best coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks.
For groups larger than 2, please contact San Juan Property Management for booking additional units.

I can't say enough about the stunning view from this unit. Staying here made our experience on San Juan a 10/10. The room was a perfect size and had the amenities we needed for a week stay. Checking in and out was super easy. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Fabulous location with walking distance to many stores, restaurants, and attractions. Loved walking the piers and watching the sun come up. Comfortable room. Great views of the harbor including shops and sea planes. So cool. Only issue was the thin walls separating the rooms. Ear plugs were provided and were helpful.

Perfect Mother/Daughter weekend getaway

This property has gorgeous views of the Friday Harbor Marina, with a fabulous balcony with table/chairs for enjoying the view. It is downtown, within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Bed is comfortable and the interior is bright and clean. Would definitely say here again.

Gorgeous view of harbor

Absolutely LOVED staying at this beautiful, peaceful location with a balcony overlooking the harbor. We could walk to the harbor for our fabulous boat tour with Maya's Legacy Whale Watching. We also walked to eat at an elegant Italian restaurant, Vinnie's and ate at the Salty Fox for coffee and pastries each morning. The owner was so responsive and was so kind and accommodating! Would love to stay here again!

Last minute find!

Wonderful experience to find at the last minute. Great location, easy check in a good clear timely communication. Only suggestion is that they add black out window coverings.

View and location can't be beat!

This clean, lovely studio with a charming balcony offers gorgeous views of Friday Harbor. Comings and goings of sailboats, ferries and seaplanes were all the entertainment needed. Super-convenient to shops, restaurants, and the community theatre. Fridge and microwave are a bonus. I would stay there again.

Walls are "paper thin" between units. Deck was dirty. Unit is very small and seems over priced.

We are very sorry to see this review! The building owners are working on improving the sound proofing between rooms. Our team cleans decks before each check-in and if there was a cleanliness issue with the outdoor deck, we wish we’d been alerted.

Location, location, location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I enjoyed three nights overlooking Friday Harbor from the deck where we saw eagles, deer, and hummingbirds! We were able to walk to everything in town from the rental and had wonderfully relaxing time. Thanks for the earplugs, they came in handy when we heard our neighbor snoring. We really appreciated the early check-in too!

Thin walls, but great location and view

A great location a few blocks from the ferry and close enough to shops and restaurants to walk. Great view of the harbor. The only less than ideal thing is the walls are paper thin. You can hear the conversation of the person in the room your sharing a wall with.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Chelan room. The building owners have been working on sound proofing the rooms more, including the addition of more area rugs in each room and the hallway, adding door sweeps, and providing earplugs.

Not very private especially given the need to open doors and windows in hot weather. Thin walls and close proximity to others. Also a screen door would be helpful to keep bugs out when you have to ventilate in the heat.

Great location and view. Parking was not a big issue if you place your vehicle in the 8am-5pm, 8 hour spots just to the left of the main entryway. The spots to the left are 2 hour! We did get our tire marked by the parking police on Friday. The only big recommendation we have is the balconies facing the water need some kind of privacy screening. We sat out to enjoy the view and felt like we were sitting at the same table with the neighboring occupants. Easy fix.

Room: ChelanLocation: Fabulous Views: Incredible Privacy: noneA/C: noneThe weather was very warm @ 85 so sleeping was very challenging. The one window opened on to the community patio so you couldn't air out the room without someone looking in...and the patio had zero Privacy from your neighbor. It's like you're sharing the patio.Due to those two issues We won't rebook however if those two issues are fixed we would definitely go back because the Location and views were excellent

It’s a perfect location to get to everything in Friday Harbor in just a few just walking. My only complaint would be the paper thin walls. It wouldn’t take much to put some sound proofing between the rooms.

The location is PERFECT within walking distance to everything. They made it incredibly easy to check in and out. They were so accommodating by letting us leave our bags at the store until check in and even after check out. I believe we were the only ones staying at the property so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. We will DEFINITELY be back again!!! Everyone should stay here!!!

Relaxing location for a short stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful time staying at the Chelan room in the Cannery Inn. The location is perfect - centrally located in town. The reason why I decided to stay here is for the view and it did not disappoint. The only negative part was that some small ants would come in through the doors and I could hear the other guests that I shared a wall with snore. Luckily there were ear buds that I could use. Also, it got cold in the evenings and I had to double up on blankets (and wear socks).I hope to stay here in the future when I visit.
