POSITIVES: Quiet, comfortable place with 3 beds and central air, 7 minutes' walk to Scarborough. At the end of a cul-de-sac, so the quiet's wonderful. Clean and bright; beds are comfortable (tho mattress in 2nd BR's a bit saggy); wonderful outdoor shower; central air was great to have, tho' we hardly used it as it was cool and dry the entire week! Kitchen's amply stocked with good pots and pans (an excellent saute pan made great omelets) - only missing a lemon squeezer, and a knife sharpener (the knives were dull). There is no dishwasher, but full-sized washer and dryer were very useful. There are beach chairs and a cart in the outside storage bin, and some beach towels in the closet with games and vacuums. The owners seem very nice; David brought us native tomatoes. All in all, a pleasant week! CONS: While the house itself is private, you are sharing the larger property with the owners; you'll be sharing the driveway, the outdoor shower (on your side of the back yard), and you may be able to hear them if they're on their half of the deck, though it is screened off. The property management isn't the best, in our opinion: we've been renting in Pt. Judith for 20 years and this is the first time we ever had to supply our own bed linens and towels. The house is full of "rules" some of which seem excessive, esp. given that you're paying a hefty cleaning fee - like requiring tenants to remake the beds before leaving, even though you have to provide your own linens (?!) - and requiring you to turn off the AC and fans if you leave the house, which on a hot day means returning to a very hot house (even on a not so hot day, the house was stuffy with the AC and fans off). I didn't look at the TV, but my husband did and said it was basically shopping channels, local network stations, and PBS. Lastly - the house could use better furniture on the deck/back yard. The chairs are cheap plastic , the table is too small for more than 4 people, and there are no chaise lounges to lie out on with a book and an
