Detta ljusa, eleganta georgianska (1760-talet) lÀgenheten Àr perfekt pied-a-terre i centrala London. BelÀget i Handel St. en lugn, trÀdkantad sidogata precis utanför Brunswick Sq. i hjÀrtat av Bloomsbury, Àr den platta knappt fem minuters promenad frÄn Russell Square röret (Piccadilly-linjen) eller röda dubbeldÀckarbussar pÄ Woburn Place / Southampton Row. En trevlig tio minuters promenad men Russell Sq trÀdgÄrdar och du Àr pÄ British Museum och UCL Campus eller gÄ norr till Euston Rd för British Library och St Pancras (Eurostar). I söder (tvÄ röret slutar) eller 20 minuters promenad tar dig till Covent Garden, Shaftesbury Avenue och teatrarna i West End.

En nyligen besökare frĂ„n VA sĂ€ger ... "Vi ÄLSKADE lĂ€genheten. Platsen var utmĂ€rkt, vi blev kĂ€r med Waitrose och Ă„tnjöt promenader i trĂ€dgĂ„rdar i nĂ€rheten. Ljuset var underbar och historien om huset fascinerande, hade vi aldrig sett fönster med luckor som! Du hade tĂ€nkt pĂ„ allt - fördelen med dig Ă€garna bor hĂ€r en del av tiden Ă€r att det Ă€r sĂ„ vĂ€l utrustade och bekvĂ€ma. Vi vill absolut komma igen.

My mother and I had an extremely pleasant stay at the flat. The photos don’t do this place justice. We loved the neighbourhood and we were so impressed with the flat itself. It had everything that we needed to make ourselves a home. The pull out bed and bed in the main bedroom were very comfortable.The property manager went above and beyond in her responses. If we had questions or concerns, they were promptly addressed.

You will be glad you did. This quiet location couldn't be better for easy, swift travel to all London and vicinity sights, theatres and shopping. You will find tree-lined streets with lovely little parks just minutes walk to groceries, restaurants, Russell Square tube (a 1 hour direct journey on the Piccadilly Line tube from Heathrow terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 to this stop) and Kings Cross rail station. Try the nearby, authentic, cozy pub "The Lamb", a favorite of Charles Dickens. The flat itself has all the amenities you could want: comfortable bed, ample storage space, well-equipped kitchen, good shower, separate washer/dryer room for your use only.We will come here again, provided that we book far ahead and find this little gem available.

Great flat in a central location

We loved having the space provided in this flat. The kitchen was a big plus as we were able to eat some meals “at home”. The bed was comfy with soft bedding We had some issues with a lack of hot water for a couple of days but Antonia had the issue resolved. The location in Bloomsbury was ideal for walking the city and the Waitrose grocery so nearby was wonderful. If we return to London someday we would be delighted to return to this cozy place. Thank you!

Perfect location/comfortable flat

Ideal location in a quiet, less frantic part of London. Was nice to come here at the end of the day and relax, or stop at a pub just a few minutes away.Nothing to add that hasn’t already been said - communication with the property manager was easy, as was the check in process. The flat itself was great, and within easy walking distance to several tube stations and Paddington, if you need a train.We’ll try to stay here again, when we return.

Great Location & Accommodation

We were in London visiting our daughter in January for a couple of weeks. The flat was perfect for a couple, close to underground stations, Kings Cross and walkable for a number of central locations. Antonia was very responsive & helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Quiet, comfortable place in a great location

Loved it. Up two flights in an old brownstone on a very quiet street. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. With a Waitrose grocery and the other shops of Brunswick Sq a five-minute walk away, it has a high walkability score. Just about everything you want to visit in London is a half-hour's walk away, but if you don't want to walk, you can get to the Russell Square tube stop (Piccadilly Line) in a seven-minute walk. King's Cross/St Pancras is a 10-minute walk away. Antonia responded to my questions quickly and was very helpful.

Excellent Base for a 3-week Stay

First: Antonia the property manager is SO responsive and SO helpful! She gets 10 stars! Location is excellent - 2-minute walk to a Waitrose grocery store and shopping center, 3 minute walk to the Marquis Cornwallis pub, 5 minutes to Russell Square subway station and 10 minutes to Kings Cross and St Pancras subway and rail stations and several other pubs and restaurants. The unit is very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for 3 weeks and would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely a 5 Star Property

6 Handel Street is absolutely a 5 star property. It’s location in central London along with proximity to the tube and Waitrose means that you can easily get where you are going, that lots of places are close and that whether you are cooking or just want to pick up snacks there’s a market just down the block. And, the hosts’ willingness to answer questions and generally communicate makes all the difference. Thank you Judith and Antonia! I hope that there will be a future opportunity for us to stay at 6 Handel.

Our London flat was perfect for our visit. Fantastic location near several Underground stations. Grocery store right around the corner with multiple nearby restaurants. The flat gave us room to spread out and cook some of our own meals. It was exactly what I was looking for in the way of accommodations. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Super semaine passée chez Judith

L'appartement de Judith est vraiment parfait. Nous étions trois. Nous étions à l'aise. Le canapé lit confortable. L'espace cuisine avec tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner. La rue est calme et le quartier trÚs sympathique. La communication avec Antonia, la fille de Judith était parfaite malgré des mésaventures à l'arrivée. Je recommande +++ Nous reviendrons chez Judith !

Excellent location

Very detailed information at the flat about the area and easy to follow instructions for all the appliances, etc. Despite being in Bloomsbury and the proximity to busy shopping and restaurants, the flat was quiet, no outside noise. High windows were particularly gratifying and some of the history of the house. Judith, Edwin and Antonia have made good use of space, so lots of storage. A good experience!

Central London Comfort and Convenience

This flat checked all the boxes. Easy walking distance to many sites, several Underground and Rail stations, many restaurants and very close to a larger grocery store. Definitely worth considering.

Perfect Location!! Wonderful communication!!

I enjoyed a week at the flat in April. It was so quiet that I wondered if there was anyone else in the building with us! The beds were great and comfy (including the pullout). Owner communication was stellar. I absolutely cannot wait to return.

The location of this flat is excellent. Few minutes walk to Kings Cross/St. Pancras and Russell Square tube stations. Brunswick centre (Waitrose; Superdrug small eateries) opposite flat. London is renowned for pubs and gardens which are in abundance and at your doorstep. Judith and Antonia are lovely hosts, promptly replying to any queries or concerns. The flat is fully equipped with every amenity required. Understanding this is a rental property which houses many guests, the flat is well kept and clean
 some aspects a bit tired. I would recommend this flat, and hope to return again.

Mother/daughter trip

Great location, nice, quiet property, but could have been cleaner. I have not ever complained about cleanliness before with a rental, but it was obviously a bit unclean. We arrived late on the train after a long flight with baggage and were not thrilled to learn only the day before that we would first have to locate the convenience store where the keys were kept before then dragging the bags on the unfamiliar cobblestone backstreets several blocks away to the flat. This would be no big deal if you know the area and don't have jet lag. The bed was fine but the sofa bed was very uncomfortable so my adult daughter slept on the floor. So, all in all, if you want this great location, this is a nice flat for 2, that is if the owner, who was very responsive to questions we asked on WhatsApp, hires a professional cleaner and the guests sleep only on the bed in the bedroom.

Judith and Ed live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Judith is a Brit who lived and worked for many years in London before meeting Ed in Rome one sunny morning in June 1994! They were married in London 1995 and she moved permanently to the USA. However...her family, children and grandchildren all live in London, with eldest daughter and family in Brussels. Having their own base in central London was something they wanted to have when Ed retired and now they are able to spend about three months every year in their own lovely little pied-a-terre on Handel St.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We wanted a flat that was as central as we could afford, with easy access by tube and by foot to theaters, museums and with good local shopping. We stayed at the Russell Sq Hotel for a few nights to attend a family wedding and realized the area answered all these criteria. Quite by chance we found the property in nearby Handel St. It was in the process of being refurbished and the flats just coming on the market. It didn't take long to decide that we wanted to buy. The building itself is lovely, 1760's Georgian with long windows looking out onto a quiet side street. A plus is an easy walk to the British Museum, British Library, St. Pancras and yet moments from neccesary good shopping!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The flat is amazingly convenient for all the urban delights offered by being in such a central situation. The nearby Brunswick Centre re-opened recently with it's fun shops and restaurants and The British Museum is a 10 minute stroll across Russell Sq. But the extra bonus is the Eurostar Terminal at St. Pancras. In ten minutes or so you can wheel your bag up to the check in, hop on the early morning train and 2 hours later enjoy a mid morning coffee and croissant in Paris or Brussels!
