We had a wonderful stay at the Keauhou Hideaway! The home is really unique, and the Japanese-inspired architecture is wonderful. The property grounds are beautiful, with so many different fruiting and flowering trees to stroll through. We enjoyed the lemons, limes, grapefruit, and papaya, along with the herbs and Hawaiian chili peppers! We spent nearly every evening enjoying beverages at the pool, watching the sun set. The location is well hidden, which creates very quiet, peaceful surroundings. We had a minor issue during our stay, but the home's caretaker addressed it quickly, as expected. Everyone we worked with was fantastic and giving of aloha. I won't hesitate to book this home again.

Despite being at an elevation of 1000 feet, it was almost unbearably warm in the afternoons though the fans and pool did help to stay cool. Anyone used to the tropics will enjoy the layout and the view. It might be a challenge if you’re sensitive to the heat.

This is a beautiful, comfortable property with an unbeatable view and vibe. We picked fruit from the numerous trees for breakfast and good restaurants were easy to find. I can’t imagine a better place for our anniversary getaway. Would definitely recommend.

This place is even more beautiful than the pictures! It is a little slice of paradise. We loved how each guest had a private area but there were multiple areas for groups to mingle.

Incredible property with so much to do and see. My family loved every second at this home and didn't want to leave. The view in the back is spectacular, you can watch the sunset every night. The garden varied and pretty to look at. Bathrooms were comfortable and good water pressure.

Within 20 minutes of shops and the beach, but far enough away from the bustle of the crowds. So quiet, such amazing views, perfect for families and friends. Everything was absolutely perfect there - even the frogs at night.Than you for making our first time in Kona so incredible.

The property was wonderful and the kitchen well stocked. So enjoyed roaming the garden and picking fresh fruit and vegetables for our use. The view was amazing and being able to watch the whales always a bonus. Easy access to some great beaches!As stated in another reply the communication regarding check in needs correction.

Highly recommended!

Came here with family and had a great stay. The privacy is awesome and it is still close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The pool is a big plus, and I would love to stay here again.

Beautiful views with comfortable accommodations, but a bit dingy

Overall our stay was quite lovely. Although the place was not as clean as I would have liked, we would stay here again.

We at the Keauhou Hideaway take great care to have the place not only clean and inviting upon our guests arrival but we make sure we do a last minute walk through just before our guests check in. I personally went through the entire place to insure it was up to our standards and our standards are high. The guest quarters are an old structure and like most wooden buildings on island experience termite damage. We have the Hideaway professionally treated for all kinds of things that come our way living here in the tropics. We will continue to provide a clean environment to spend your vacations at.
