Place itself was immaculate. Laundry was great. Awesome location just blocks from Forsyth Park, and easily walkable to riverfront and all of the historic parts of Savannah. Definitely would choose the Whippet House again

Beautiful Savannah

Our visit to Savannah was terrific due to our outstanding accommodations at the Whippet House. The house is quiet, clean, and beautiful, and the artwork is phenomenal. The home is located close to public transportation, so we did not do much driving once we arrived. The kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed, and we appreciated having laundry facilities and off-street parking. We highly recommend staying when visiting beautiful Savannah!

Very convenient to Forsyth Park, Enmark Stadium and River Street. Only con was the Roku TV’s were passworded so we couldn’t watch Amazon Prime or any other streaming channel like HGTV that was not already loaded on it. We felt very safe in this location. Thanks!

Girl's weekend

The placec was a good location, within walking distance of many things, if you don't mind walking. Parking spot for one car. Our only complaint was the linens for the pull out bed were in very poor condition, but they were replaced immediately after we made a phone call complaining.

It was in a wonderful location--close enough to walk to Savannah attractions but quieter than other area in the historic district. The beds and furnishings are comfortable and we were very happy to be able to bring our small dog. The kitchen is tiny, but everything worked well. The parking space in the back was an added bonus. The decor probably needs to be updated soon, as it was quite outdated. The home was not spotless but clean enough. We did kill one large roach while we were there.

Savannah - Right Near Forsythe Park!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property itself is close to the “touristy” areas – very walkable, actually. The house is definitely a “blast from the past!” Filled with vintage artwork, furniture and Oriental rugs covering the original hardwood floors, it was reminiscent of a walk back in time to the 18th century. Parking on the street is very limited; however, there is a reserved parking spot in the alley behind the home that leads into a tiny, but private outdoor seating area. This steers you into the backdoor kitchen entrance which was small and in dire need of updated appliances and electrical outlets. Specifically, the refrigerator door shelf holders were both broken. The entire home needs a top to bottom 21st century make-over but overall, the home was comfortable and did the job.

Loved our stay!

Stayed with two friends as a girls weekend, we loved the house and would stay again. Very clean and comfortable, well appointed kitchen, close enough to historic district that we walked everywhere, and we loved walking through Forsyth Park each day. Highly recommend.

Cockroaches everywhere, missing bedding, & they cleaned before checkout & took our things.

My husband and I were visiting Savannah with his family from the UK. We arrived late on our first night, and there was no bedding for the fold out. The property manager said the cleaner must have forgotten it so she agreed to bring it to us but it took an hour. Then we found a cockroach on a wall in one of the upstairs bedrooms. It's the south, so I apologized and they all went to bed a bit freaked out while my husband and I sat up waiting for our bedding. My mother in law slept with the light on to keep roaches away. We toured Savannah the next day - beautiful city. We came back that evening and there were two VERY LARGE palmetto bugs in the kitchen. We were planning to sit on the patio for tea but everyone was too freaked out to sit outside where there were more roaches. We found ANOTHER roach upstairs before bed that night. I called the company and asked if they had any other bnb's we could swap to, but there was "nothing clean and ready". No one slept well at all, obviously after 4 roach discoveries total. On our last morning, my mother in law found yet another roach in her shower, and opted to skip it and wait til we got back home to NC to shower. Check out is 11:00 am, but when we returned from breakfast around 10:30, the house had been cleaned already, and my mother in law's charger had been removed from the property. We had to call again and waited for the cleaner to bring it back. I travel a ton, and have never had to call about anything, much less call 3 times.

Girls Trip

Our group if five older women travel several times yearly and enjoy using Vrbo so we can all stay together and enjoy our time together. This was a great location, house was perfect and absolutely loved Savannah.

Great location and beautiful home

We stayed in Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. This beautiful home was conveniently located to all venues and close to Forsyth Park which was beautiful. I took my dog and had great green space to walk her several times a day. The house is nicely decorated, everything you need is there and beds are comfortable. We’ll definitely be back. Great host, who communicates well.
