Scenic, fantastisk MT. Lassen Volcanic National Park ligger bara 30 miles away. Drive, vandra eller rida i parken. Svavel krukor, ånga ventiler och sjöar nås med bil eller vandring. Missa inte nya besökscentret med en otrolig film om historien och bildandet av parken. Vandring till Bumpass Hell är relativt lätt, cirka två timmar tur och retur, men tar dig till de mest ovanliga glasögon: azurblått och grönt, kokning, ångande vatten och lera nås via gångvägarna.

Family trip

We had a fun time with the family. In spite of the smoke, we got in some quality time and enjoyed each other's company. The hosts were attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. It was nice being right on the inlet with a private dock. Our granddaughter even got in some time on her paddleboard.

Warm, wonderful and beautiful.

The hosts at this property were exceptional, always available and very responsive. The home is immaculate and pride in ownership is evidenced throughout. The entire property is well manicured and designed for family fun as would be expected coming to a lake property. There are no negatives here. We would return.

Wonderful Lakehouse Vacation

Our family had the best time staying at this adorable house on the lake. It was very, clean, comfortable and the hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The week we were there ended up being one of the hottest of the summer with temperatures in the mid to high 90s but the beautiful surrounding pines kept the house and even the yard shaded comfortable. The dock provided hours of fun for our kids swimming in protected cove's calm waters. For those who like to hike, it is only a 50 minute drive from the house to the entrance of Lassen Volcanic National park and we took advantage of the proximity, driving into the park to hike on 3 separate days. There are multiple convenient options for boat rentals within minutes of the house and our kids enjoyed fishing nearby at Hamilton Branch. We made such great memories staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We'll Be Back!

My husband and I had the most relaxing time in this beautiful, well cared for home. It's located in a cove with a dock and well maintained lawn that runs from the house to the dock. The beds are comfortable and the home has everything necessary to make you feel you are at home. The property is conveniently located close to a market and restaurants. The property owners are very nice and accommodating. We are so glad we were able to rent this home.

Beautiful location and accommodations

Lakefront Victorian says it all! It is just as described, with a master queen bedroom and a second queen bedroom downstairs, and a loft upstairs. We did not use the loft, since it was just my wife and I, and another couple. The home was exceptionally clean upon our arrival, and we tried to leave it that way when we left. The home has a large back deck, which we enjoyed using with our friends. It overlooks a large, parklike, grass area down to the lake. Very comfortable and peaceful accommodations, which we highly recommend.

Location, Location, Location - cannot be beat

Our family has been coming up to Lake Almanor for almost 30 years. Have camped and rented large and small cabins around the lake. Hands down you will not find more pleasant and responsive hosts. Not property managers that could care less about your visit, but true host that want you to have a great vacation. Thank you Callie and Andrea for delaying your trip home to ensure front door got fixed. It was great chatting with you both. This house is just awesome. The love and detail put into this house was breathtaking and like no other lake cabin you will find. Now for the location. This cove is like having you own private piece of the lake. Lake was full so made it easy to get boat in and out without any concerns. No buoy required as weather in this cove stays nice and calm, yet still get a cooling breeze. Not sure how, but even on the hottest day, the house stayed very comfortable without an AC system. I promise this is not the norm in other Lake Almanor cabins. Walking distance to Waganupa Brewing is a great plus (Brown sweet stout was pretty tasty). From there you can go right or left for Mexican food or Italian food. All of this is just across the street. Great lawn area to enjoy the provided horseshoe pit and bocce ball. Nice dart board provided by the BBQ which we often started a tournament while the charcoal was getting to the proper temp. Thank you Callie and Mark for sharing your special hideaway and for being such great hosts.

Loved our Almanor Getaway!

We had a wonderful long weekend at this charming house. Everything was smooth and efficient from our last minute booking to our arrival. Great communication with the owners and we loved the accommodations. The water level was low, so the lake front dock wasn't available, but a slip was provided and was easily accessible. We loved the big beautiful backyard to play and had a wonderful weekend! We can't wait to go back to this sweet victorian paradise!

Wonderful Lake Almanor Victorian

We had to cancel our annual trip to Yosemite valley due to the road closures and the valley was filling up with smoke from the Oak Fire that unexpectly sprang up. A mad scramble on the internet by all of us, eventually crossed out Lake Tahoe due to the Oak Fire smoke was forecasted to spread to that area. Lake Almanor seemed to be the obvious place to be. We viewed many homes on the VRBO network for the 6 of us adults to stay that was on or near the lake. But one location seemed to keep drawing our attend; The Lakefront Victorian. The pictures listed of the property and the amenities we agreed was just what we all were looking for. As it turned out during our stay we made the right choice; we enjoyed a conveniently located spot of our own place in paradise. At the end of our stay we couldn't think of anything we'd suggest as needing improving. If you are looking for a quite, extremely clean, close to everything right on the water this is the place.

Property not as described

The owners of this property were very easy to communicate with & the home was lovely. Very clean and perfect for a family vacationing together. We were however very very disappointed in the “Lake front, privet dock” advertisement. The photos of this homes view of the lake are from 2008, a lot has changed in the last 12 years. It is not water front whatsoever, the cove is completely dried up. We would have never rented this house had we seen true photos of what the water front looked like. We had to work with the neighbors 3 times to move our boat, the docks are so clustered together & so far out you can not get by them when docking. You can not swim off the dock at all. The neighbors who live there told us it’s been like this for 3+ years straight and getting worse every year. Though we have had a drought in California, this is a PG&E Dam and water will have to be released no matter the levels so as an owner you know the levels are going to go down. I would suggest asking the owners for a picture of their “water front property” from the view of their yard, or they will send you one from farther away looking into the cove and it’s deceiving. Hopefully the picture can be updated so it’s not such false advertisement.

Beautiful Family Vacation!

We loved the Curry lake house! We brought our boat, kept it at the private dock, and waterskied and/or went tubing and swimming every day. We visited my wife’s childhood cabin (formerly owned by her Grandma) in the Feather River Summer Homes nearby, and enjoyed the swimming hole there. We took a short drive one afternoon to Indian Falls for another fun swimming spot. We didn’t go to any restaurants due to Covid-19, but the kitchen at the house is well equipped and we prepared all of our meals there and ate our dinners at the fire table on the deck - great table! We played horseshoes and bocce on the large lawn area, and I even brought my portable disc golf basket for some fun family putting competition. We definitely plan to come back again!

Relaxing Family Getaway

We loved our stay! We we were looking to step out of our normal lives, switch it up for some family time with our two middle school sons, in a beautiful place. This was just the ticket. We were drawn to this place because of the lakeside setting with its own dock, and this was wonderful. The surprising plus was the HUGE lawn between the house and the water. We played bocci on two evenings, and just sitting on the deck looking out over the expansive green grass to the lake was so relaxing and quiet. We ate dinner outside almost every night around a special "fire table" - with flames in the middle of a big round table that could seat six. Pine trees everywhere. The house itself is lovely, with plenty of break-out space for a family of four. You could sleep two more in the loft easily. We drove to Hamilton Branch, a few minutes away, for fly fishing. We did an incredible hike in Lassen National Park, which was more of a drive but within striking distance. Wifi was excellent and reliable. Hosts were very kind and super helpful. Thank you!

Amazing Almanor property!!!

This beautiful Victorian style home has everything and more that a family of 6 could need or want for a beautiful vacation on the Lake Almanor. The house is stocked with all of your basic amenities and more. From the backyard private dock to the huge grassy area with a view of the lake while playing horseshoes , this place will not disappoint :-) Thank you for such an amazing place to stay, we will be back soon! Piece of Paradise!

The most beautiful, inviting home on Lake Almanor! The home, deck, lawn and dock-all incredible. Our Chef Debbie, loved the kitchen. Sweet, perfect vacay! Only thing I would change...my reservations... to be extended😉Kayaking, swimming , BBQing. Starry nights on the deck. I would rate this vacay-perfection🌺😁🌸🌈💕! Thanks Callie!
