The Space:
This modern and inviting 3-bed flat has all the necessary amenities to ensure maximum comfort throughout your stay. It is furnished to the highest standards, so there is no doubt that a group of six will enjoy their time in Edinburgh to the fullest!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay right in the heart of Old Town Edinburgh. Amazing views of St. Giles Cathedral from our kitchen, family room and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. The shortbread biscuits, coffee and tea supplied made us feel welcome, and it was nice to have a washer and drying rack. Joivy management company was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend staying here.

Location could not be more central. Very spacious modern flat, our family of 5 had lots of room during our 3 night stay. Wonderful view of St.. Giles Cathedral. Host very responsive. Took us Americans a while to figure out how to get hot water—you have to turn on a switch in the utility closet.

Property is perfect location in Old Town. Three nice size bedrooms with one on suite full bath and another full bath. Separate living room provided ample space.

The location was great. Could not have been better. We didn’t have reliable hot water the whole time we were there. 3 hot showers total in 4 nights for 5 women. We did communicate with the host. We were told it was fixed. Still cold water. Scotland cold water. If we had had hot water for bathing the trip would have been perfect. The other thing was, no outlets near mirrors for getting ready.

Old town location

Great location for pure old town experience. Beautiful views and lots of food and coffee nearby. Easy and quick to get to everything. Hosts were easy to communicate with. Wish the pillows were a bit more substantial. We didn’t have a problem with noise because we brought a white noise machine.

Amazing location.. truly can’t beat it if you’re wanting to see the sites in Edinburgh. Place is nice and was very clean. Check-in was great. The major downside to this place is the hot water situation. You can only get about one good shower before the hot water is gone. With a place that sleeps 6 people, this is a pretty big inconvenience. The only other very minor gripe is that there is a washing machine but no dryer.

Awesome location!

Right in the middle of the Royal Mile with easy access to all the sites - the Edinburgh Castle, Victoria Street etc. Lots of eateries and coffee shops nearby and a beautiful view of St Giles Cathedral. The only negative would be that you can hear some street noice but once we closed the curtains to retire for the night it blocked the noise and we were able to sleep comfortably. It truly was a beautiful place and we definitely would stay there again!

We did not know until 10 pm the first night that there was no hot water for showering. We found a switch at the hot water tank that seemed to help with one quick shower only. The next morning someone couldn’t shower because the water was way too hot and the tub did not drain. A repairman eventually came and explained the hot water tank was old and was going to be replaced in November. He said we would have to spread out our water usage because the tank was not big enough to provide enough hot water . Not great for four people !!!

Fabulous location

This apartment was very clean and extremely comfortable. The location was as advertised- right across from St Giles cathedral. It is very close to the Edinburgh Castle, University of Edinburgh, and the Real Mary King's Close. It is short walk down the Royal Mile to the Edinburgh Palace. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would suggest updating the interior photos on the VRBO website. The walls in the apartment have been painted and are now bright yellow and turquoise. We highly recommend this partment.

Great place in an amazing location!

I stayed a few nights at this apartment with my partner and another couple when visiting Edinburgh for the first time. The location was fantastic. The place is very walkable from the train station, Old Town, and many of the must-see sights in the area. The Altido team was also very communicative and easy to reach. We had no issues finding the apartment or checking in. We'd love to stay here again on our next trip to Edinburgh!

Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Edinburgh! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment hotel during my trip to Edinburgh, and it was an experience beyond compare. Nestled right in front of St Giles Cathedral, the hotel's location is unbeatable, centrally located within walking distance to many attractions and the famous Edinburgh Castle. Absolutely loved it! The apartment was immaculate and nicely furnished. The spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedroom made it feel like a home away from home. The large windows provided stunning views of the cathedral. Truly dreamy. Staying here was an unforgettable experience. The perfect blend of location and comfort made our trip to Edinburgh truly special. I highly recommend this apartment hotel to anyone visiting the city! Can't wait to stay here once again upon our return !

Old Town, Edinburgh

This is a fantastic property on the Royal Mile to explore Old Town from. Not only is it lovely and well-maintained, with all the comforts of home, it's also a terrific location for walking to much of what you'd hope to see in the Old Town - museums, the Castle, pubs, shopping, and excellent restaurants. St. Giles Cathedral is directly across the street with a magnificent view of the lightedspire in the evening, and we had a front row seat to Parade Day activities from our windows. Access to the flat via code is simple and straightforward, and the two flights of stairs to reach the apartment were not a hardship for us senior citizens. There was plenty of comfortable space for our group of four to spread out in, and the bathrooms are roomy and updated. The kitchen is well-equipped, and especially handy is the washing machine. I would highly recommend this location for exploring Edinburgh's Old Town. The only minor issue was that upon arriving, we found that there was no hairdryer as listed among the amenities. When I reached out to management to inquire about getting one, I never heard back. Luckily, there is a Boots around the corner where an inexpensive hairdryer saved the day! Again, this is a wonderful apartment, and we'd happily stay here on our next trip.

The location of the apartment was spot on for our group of 3 couples. We loved stepping straight into the street with bars and restaurants literally on our doorstep. There was a fair amount of street noise but we expected that given its location.The apartment itself is spacious and well laid out. It was exceptionally clean & well equipped. However, we had an issue with the hot water. I contacted our host on 2 occasions to explain there was no hot water. I was told to hit the ‘boost’ button. This allowed 6 of us to have just a 2 minute shower at the beginning of the day. This is totally not acceptable. We had a plumber in our group who confirmed that only half the boiler was working and that the element had broken. I then read some reviews that go back as far as July stating a group of ladies had the same issues then. If we had known that we was paying over 1700 for an apartment that didn’t have sufficient hot water then we wouldn’t have booked it. We also agree with previous occupants that there are not enough outlets for appliances near mirrors in bedrooms. We also had a problem with the WiFi not working consistently. Overall the apartment is perfectly located & laid out but I wouldn’t recommend because of the water issue.
