All of these activities are offered in the nearby Oaker Wood activity centre. You can tour the interior and grounds of the renowned National Trust sites Croft Castle, a castellated 17th-century manor house, within a short drive, or Berrington Hall, a stunning neoclassical 18th-century mansion designed by Henry Holland, to see Capability Brown's final complete estate (which includes a serpentine pool). The Judge's Lodgings at Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the famed Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm are also worth a visit if you're travelling farther afield.
